Look What's Up! part 2

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Starr has rocks??

Brenda I still swear I'm going to sweep your yard in about a month!

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Mendy - that's the OLD house! :-***(

Moby - let me know when you're on your way and I'll have shovels, forks, trowels and bags waiting. Maybe you can even help me tranplant them to my new place. ROFL!!!

Here's the one that really breaks my heart. The neighbor tells me that her 2 yr old just LOVES it. I told her to come on over any time and look at the flowers.

I got some pics of the yard at my new house to give you guys an idea of what I've got to work with here. I'll post them later today and put a link to it. Probaby will be in the Garden Talk forum. Got the window guy coming in a bit and I've got to get moving.

Wow, I really like that Patty. Very cheery.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Wow, Tazzy!! That's gorgeous. I've never seen that one before in the catalogs. Where'd you get it. I don't often publicly state it but I kind of have a thing for oranges.

Mendy - that photo is of the old house. It's a new bed I put in 1 yr ago and so this is it's first year after planting. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It's about as wide as it's going to get as it's on the side of the house and the neighbors house (with a side bed) is right there too. Any wider and we won't have a place to walk. One of the many reasons I wanted to move to my new house. You know you're too close to your neighbors when you can hear the dog or baby crying INSIDE the house or the neighbors having a heated argument. LOL

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Here you go, Brenda....I'm handing you a frying pan so you whack me in the head with it.....and yell "wake up" when you do it, ok? LOL Well, wherever that bed is, it's really pretty!

I know what you mean about houses being very close. Through my dining room window I can see right into the spare room of my neighbor's house. That's why I have cafe curtains in my dining room! Sometimes when I'm in there I can hear him playing his saxaphone.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Whaaa.....You get saxaphone and I get the crying baby/barking dog/fighting couple!!??? I'm moving to OR!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I'll trade ya houses! Your new one of course! LOL

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

Brenda i think i got it from buggycrazy ,got so many last year cant remember , but i saw pic. and Had to have .well off to Iris tour they wont hold buses for me . Drat . should have PC hookup on bus LOL

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

Brennie, Wow, great pics and I can't believe you are leaving all that behind... must go get them... I would help if I could... where is Olathe anyway? I am geographically challenged...lol... (just ask Moby) - I have a hard time keeping it all together when thinking of where everyone is ...lol

Moby, MGH, I have tons of rocks.. you can have any and all you want for free... come get them... You know those huge giant decorator rocks that are sold to y'all for such large sums? Well, they come to Missouri and get those puppies for free.... sooooo y'all just come on down and bring a truck... you can have any you want... :)
I am serious..

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I'll be there in 5 minutes, Starr...... I wish!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

I do too!!! ... Would love to see ya... and we do have very large rocks... I own all of wolf pen hollow.... it has steep cliffs, caves, and large rocks...

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Caves? That sounds like fun! We would really love to come see you too. I'm afraid it would have to be on a plane though. Think they'd let me check a suitcase full of rocks? LOL

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Tazzy .....I have to watch Buggy's auctions for that one. Sure is purdy!

Mendy - they'd let you on with it but they charge you like $25 if it's over 50 lbs! LOL....

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

sure, but boy they would charge ya big bucks!!! ;)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Hmmmm....maybe it would be better to just buy them......and just go to Starr's for the visit!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

rent or borrow truck? can carry fairly large decorator rocks then...

or just come for visit... we'll have a blast...

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, we have a truck, but gas to get out there and back? That would be a small fortune! I think we'd have to dip into DH's retirement!

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I promised to post pics of the new house and I started a thread in Garden Talk. Let me know what you think and where I can cram in more daylilies and lilies!!!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Caves? Let's go spelunking!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I'll go with ya, Moby!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Deal!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Beautiful home, Brenda.

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

There are some caves over by the monastery that are quite deep and large enough to go spelunking.... as far as my caves go... I have no idea if they open up in there or not... and if left up to me we will never know... I am claustrophobic and small areas would destroy what little sanity I possess.... ;) .... but I have been told by some of the kids around here that they do open up once you get in there.... missouri is full of caves... some large, some small, some have lots of water running through them....

I am going to that your link next, Brennie...

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

I LOVE caves. Tried to lose both my Girl Scout Troops in the Maquota caves--but they found me again! Amazing how much noise 20 little girls getting muddy can make...

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I'm with Starr....claustrophobic and acrophobia something terrible. I don't mind the drive-through kind of caves but don't ask me to go crouching down through a tiny hole in a rock to see what's on the other end. Not for me.
