Dang Starr, you ARE getting good!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL... thanks!!! You want a critter? Did ya see them on the old thread?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Did you get any toads? I collect toads and toad houses.

You sure have a lot coming up Starr.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I did! Very cute!

Oh, I have lots of critters. I have a couple of frog and ladybug fans around the house. The Easter Bunny usually get pretty creative around here. HE is awfully fun at Halloween, too! ;)

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Bren! I don't have any toads, but will look and see if they have any when I go back there... it seems they had a couple of toad houses... I will let ya know...

My iris are waking up to find they are sharing their bed with some daffodils... ;)

Better save a frog for llilyfan--her daughter collects them.

Crafty Easter Bunny? Check out these sequined eggs my daughter makes for me....

Oooooo....very pretty Wanda!

Starr, looks like you're gettin' pretty good with that new camera of yours!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

There are times that satellite is slower than the slowest dial up... and I have been dealing with that all evening... rats! it took me about 30 minutes to load that picture up... :(

Halloween is a very fun time around here, too, we have a blast at all holidays... the kids are coming tomorrow morning and will stay for Easter... we will hide eggs all over the place on Sunday afternoon...

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

Thanks Mendy, I have been practisin'!!! lol... I finally figured out how to take a close up... big grins...

Wanda, those are so pretty!! are they hard boiled eggs? or a hollowed shell? I would like to try to make those... ok.. tell llilyfan I have a frog with her name on it... will she be at the MORU? Hope so, want to meet her... :))

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Whoa! That's not real is it?!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL, Scooter!!! I would have to change my britches if I saw that at my door... Can we say.... " Call 911" ?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

In Wisconsin??????!!!!! Wow!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL... Bren, Did you know that Florida moved up next to her last year? They got sick and tired of hurricanes and moved up north.. they must have taken the gators, too... LOL... ;)

It is only natural for predators to increase their range. This individual is proof that global warming is around the corner. He is just a little early, thats all. However, it is odd that he expects to be let in the house.

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

That is not odd, he knows where the food is!!!

To All:::

Happy Easter!!!

Let him come up to Iowa and chase the seagulls that blow up here. One good winter and he will hightail it back to warmer waters.

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Iowa is south of Wisconsin, take care where you walk!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

He walks around here too much, and a cow will step on him or a pig will lay on him!

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

They are gator food! He will only grow larger and have many children.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

That gator has never run into a farrowing sow! MEAN and fast! (From someone chased as a kid--don't EVER jump into a pen to play with new baby piggies...)

LOL, y'all! But I do have to agree with Wanda... Those sows are deadly... Big yellow teeth, bad breath and all... gives me the willies to think of it... I had one get up close and personal once... that was enough for me. An uncle raised hogs and there was one sow that was so bad she would not take the piglets... He would fill her trough with cheap beer... As soon as she was 'relaxed' they would put the piglets in to nurse... Yup, my bets' on sow!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, I don't have any gator, pig, or cow pictures, but I took this one yesterday.....

Wow, Mendy!!! You have some real action going on there...

I took a picture of these hyacinths this morning... (at least i think they are hyacinths... that is what my map says) ...

Me thinks there are gator eggs buried in the flower bed! Lookout Oregon!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

lol... l o o k o u t Mendy.... (hey, I did say that I would yell lookout!).... remember? ...

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

Out place is 'hilly' ... some parts of it are quite steep... I took a drive out yesterday to a couple of the higher pastures to check out the calves... Spring is so much fun when the calves are born... they are so cute...

here is one of the 'nurseries'....

Thumbnail by fsrstarr
Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Wow, beautiful pic, Starr! The calves are soooo cute and the sky is beautiful!

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

Thank you... the calves love to play 'king of the mountain'... I have interrupted their game in this shot, but they are so curious of me... a minute later they came in closer to take a look at me ...:)

mgh ;

you got some splaining to do ? why you have room for grass ?
LOL
Sure looks like Spring there,
cant wait to get out and see what roofers haven't did in .

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, Ricky, um....uh...I mean Tazzy, lol...I have a hard time "thinking out of the box." It wasn't until I came to DG and read about Wanda's shrinking lawn that I realized I have lots and lots of room to expand flowerbeds or make new ones! lol It was a "DUH!" moment for me! So, it has been shrinking little by little! ;-)

Just love the pics, Starr! Your property is so beautiful.

Yep Tazzy, it is spring here....it is beautiful out today. We have had rain for the last week or so, but today the sun is shining and the sky is clear. I better get out and enjoy it while I can, huh?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Aaawww, Starr! I just love mini-moo's ~

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Mendy--do I see LILIES emerging? Starr, if your place is that big, how are we ever going to find your garden to "raid" it? A map would be nice....

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

No problem.... if you make it to my place, just look for the light on the pole, then find my house and you will have no problem locating my gardens... the highway frontage is only 1/2 mile... come in through the front double gate (down from the silo)... follow the drive along the creek.... when you come to a fork in the road go left and it takes you around to the far side of the gardens... if you go to the right you will come straight up the hill to my house ( see pic) .... ;)

I am so excited... I have BLOOMS!!!! I have crocus, hyacinth and my first miniature iris. I do not know the name of the iris, it came from ebay last fall. This lil bloom is smaller than the crocus bloom... it is so cute!

Thumbnail by fsrstarr
Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

That is an itty bitty thing!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Yep, Wanda, what you are seeing are lilies...lots and lots of lilies. I think I counted about 20 (maybe more) of them the other day.

Cute little iris ya got there Starr!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

20 Lilies in one bed? Mendy, you ARE in the right forum! LOL

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

Star that a cute Little SDB iris he looks familiar but there are 100 that look like him so call him John Doe looks like Mendy has some room for about 400 more if she ditches that awful ( shudder ) grass . LOL
