CLC, Act VI

Norwood, MO(Zone 6a)

I like that, Tazzy!! they are both cool!

Wanda, Sounds like so much fun... even the work to get them in the ground sounds great... I would come help ya, if you weren't so far away...

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Starr, thanks for the offer! Want to come & move in some boulders for me???

I was pretty pleased with my aquistions, but the darn things are tall & establihed beds already ring the house & fence lines. What to do? Well---the back bed is only 14 foot wide & can be widened more--need to put a winding path thru it or I'll never get to see it all bloom....Looks like alot of transplanting to get these babies into place. Sigh. Such is the life of a CLC gardener.

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

What a list!! Sounds like the sale was a lot of fun. Bet you were a little chilly out their planting those bulbs last night.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

We had sloppy wet snow/rain yesterday. The bulbs are still in the fridge.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

We had a bit of snow last night, but it's all gone now.

Much to my surprise, I was able to lure my DH out with his trusty chainsaw after work. We trimmed lots of limbs from the 5 trees in the back yard, bundled up the debris & ready for the city truck! I didn't hink it was hard, but he got worn out pretty quick. This is NOT a hobby for wimps! :)

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

My husband has been saying that he was going to borrow his friend's chainsaw and cut down a medium sized tree that I want to get rid of. I always say "no!!" I would rather pay someone cause I am really afraid he would be cutting off one of his own limbs. I'm sure your husband is experienced with it though, Wanda.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Too experienced with it! I won't let him loose on our trees unless I'm with him for fear he will go too far in his "Trimming". Men & their loud toys...

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep, toys is right. lol My husband just wants to play with that dang chainsaw!
