Question For Will Creed
It is a perenniel and it is not particularly suited for indoor use because it is not a tropical plant. It comes from mountainous regions of East Asia where the winters are quite cold. It should do just fine outside year round in PA.
Houseplants are tropical or semi-tropical plants that are adapted to warm temperatures year round. That is what makes them suitable for our homes.
The hardy gloxinia (Incarvillea delavayi) is not at all related to the much more commonly available florists gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa) with its large, voluptuous flowers and soft, velvety leaves. The latter is a houseplant.
I hope this clears up the confusion.
HI Will
That clears it up... Thank you very much for your help.
