Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Cold rain coming for us tomorrow Helena. Some snow up north for tomorrow but
will just be rain for us,.
Your blooms from the past are beyond lovely Helena. that one on the
end is wild and beautiful. I love the hot pink and the next to the last bloom too.

Jackie, I agree. Those blooms are beautiful.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I'm glad I have those pictures to remember what bloomed.
That was my 2nd year in growing mgs. That wild looking mg you mentioned was shijishibori (?) I think, showing what it was crossed with. One year I grew a bunch of them in a big pot and I got loads of blooms. Here's some more from 2008.
Gray here too maybe more showers.

Thanks Linda

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
Beautiful blooms from your ochracea Jackie.
Yesterday I found this indica blooming on the ground. Still protected from frost by the trees.

I'm glad to see your indica still making lovely blooms Helena. I'm going to repot mine in the spring and see if I can get blooms this coming yr.
Hoping for more blooms from all my vines in 2021 after this disappointing yr.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Amazing how they can survive.
Beautiful color Helena.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
My plants in the gh are doing good and still blooming. Keeping them above freezing with heat lamps and grow lights.

I've got so many holes in the plastic I line the inside of the g house with that it's been hard to keep my greenhouse warm so far this winter. Trying to get DH to help me put up the plastic on the outside where he didn't get it all covered, should help a lot. He
really doesn't feel like it though, he's not doing well at all. He can't control his blood pressure even with the stronger meds they gave him. The Dr is missing something
like maybe a problem in a different part of his body that's affecting his pressure,
maybe his kidneys.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Praying they can find a solution quickly.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda. this morning he had a bad nosebleed. I suspect it was his bp.
Either it goes way too high or too low. He had a scary episode last week, almost
falling to the floor. Of course, they, (heart Dr), can't find anything. smh

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thats so scary. Keeping him in our prayers.

Gautier, MS

I'm sorry to hear about your DH Jackie. Hope he gets better and the doctors find the problem. Keeping him in prayers too.
Hope maybe you can get your grandson to help with the plastic in the gh. I know that's not an easy job to do after putting tarp on my shed. They don't make things to last long anymore.
I was away for the weekend so don't know if I had any blooms. No frost strong enough to kill plants outside either.
Mgs from 2008.

Thanks Linda and Helena for the prayers. What scared me the most when he almost fell to the floor was that he had a vacant look in his eyes, he was looking at me but he didn't really see me. That terrified me and I screamed for my grown daughter. by then he snapped out of it and said I'm ok.. But for a few seconds he wasn't ok, maybe a mini stroke.
Beautiful blooms from the past Helena. I remember that pretty blue. the 2nd pink with the white eye is a beauty.

Thanks Linda.

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
Hope your DH is doing better Jackie.
Love your beautiful blooms from the past Jackie. We will just have to keep growing them again. It's cold here today and will be even colder tomorrow.
Wishing you both (Jackie and Linda) a Merry Christmas!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Merry Christmas ladies.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Merry Christmas, even though it's a strange one this yr,
Helena, dh is somewhat better, at least he hasn't had any more spells.
Looking forward to growing our mg's this Spring

Very cold here too Helena, the wind was fierce yesterday. Hoping since the wind's died down, it won't feel so cold today.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ochracea blooming every day. I fed her last yr and this yr, thus more blooms.
I need to do a better job of hand pollinating so I can have more seeds.
