Beautiful blooms Jackie. Sorry you lost a plant.

Gautier, MS

I agree with Linda, beautiful blooms Jackie. I can't remember the name of that bloom either Jackie. I'm sorry to hear you lost your carrion plant.
It's been cold here today. I was lucky not to have to go out today at all.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies. I think I have another source for my carrion plant..
I had to go out a few times today Helena and the cold was just horrible..
Then when I tried to rest, ds insisted I go out and see the lunar eclipse.
It was a pretty neat sight so I was glad I checked it out.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That moon was beautiful last night. We watched it, just at it was at the peak of the eclipse. Pretty red glow.

Gautier, MS

That was a beautiful moon last night, I did go out to see it last night along with dh, and gsons! Dh had it on the computer too.

Gautier, MS

Here's my new batch of mg seedlings coming along. Trying to get older seeds before they don't germinate at all. So far they are doing good.

Helena, your baby seedlings look great.. Wish I could start a few of my
older sds too. Maybe soon, I can't believe we're coming up on the last week in January.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Looks like you will have a lot of new plants soon.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. It'll take a couples of weeks for them to bloom.
Time has been going pretty fast Jackie.

Gautier, MS

We had frost this morning, was really cold. But sunshine and warmed up a little later on. Peppermint twist had 2 blooms in ghouse. My newest mg seedling in ghouse coming up.

Beautiful peppermint twist. Good luck on your seedlings.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Love the Peppermint Twist Helena, such a showy bloom!!!

Glad you have more seedlings sprouting..
DH just came in and told me its snowing outside, coming
down heavy but tiny flakes. Hope it doesn;t amount to anything.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie.
Some of these vines will be for getting fresh seeds.

Would love to see snow again. But hope you don't get much of it Jackie.
We got more heavy frost this morning. Very cold outside.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, it was over in no time, so glad.
This coming Tue and Thurs, it will not get out of the 30's,
sick of the cold
DH will have the dye test Tues, his bp getting up to 225. He's worried
his stents are failing like mine did. If so, he;ll have to have a bypass too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear that Jackie. Sending prayers.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda.

Gautier, MS

That's good for you Jackie to see a few snow flakes!
Sorry to hear about your DH, praying all goes well with the dr. visit.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena..

Gautier, MS

I had a pretty pink hige bloom in ghouse this morning. Also found 3 camellia blooms towards the bottom of the bush which I thought kind of weird.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. Another cold day here.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Going to be bitter cold here too Helena, an 11 wind chill here in the morning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, dd told me wrong,. 11 for up north Ar, 18 here in the am, only slightly warmer.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stay warm ladies.

Gautier, MS

Incredibly lovely blooms from 2012 Helena.
Love # 4 and 5 and the unusual pattern of # 2
not to mention the subtle colors of # 1 and 3.

Dh will need open heart surgery too, can't be fixed with
a stent. I dread it but we just have to get thru it.

Beautiful blooms Helena.

Jackie, sorry to hear about surgery coming up. Will keep you both in our prayers. Do you have a date yet?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the prayers Linda. DH has an appt with his heart surgeon tomorrow
so we should have a date after the visit.

Gautier, MS

Sorry to hear that too Jackie. Keeping your dh and you in my prayers.

Thanks Linda and Jackie.Today I transplanted 8 of my seedlings into bigger pots and took them into ghouse. I have a bud on a chocolate or rose silk mg to open maybe in a couple of days. Checkout the healthy roots, that was a mistake to use the small plastic cup. But I have a few more that will that will need bigger pots. They are taking off.

Thanks Helena,
Incredible roots on those 2 mg's.
What size are the pots they're In??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

You definitely have the green thumb. Those look nice.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. They are in one gallon pots. I am going to have to buy more dirt and will have to use bigger pots and will probably have 3 seedling in each cuz I have more than one of the same color. I think I will definitely get overwhelmed cuz there are too many that I want to grow.
Pic #1 is a 9 oz. cup
Pic #2 is a 2 inch cup
