Years ago, Becky shared her Lavender Beauty mg sds with me but mine turned out to be blue. I love it, when it fades, it fades to lavender.

Beautiful blooms Jackie. I'll have to say that I love your Blue lavender beauty and your Plum Surprise is to die for. I'm glad to be back to see your blooms. I missed seeing mine not often that I go out of town for a weekend trip. Don't know if I'll have any blooms tomorrow, just hoping.

Back into my routine mornings. Did have a few blooms.
This Pink Porcelain with chocolate stripes has nice small blooms.

Red porterweed
Been ages since I grew cardinal flowers and a red porterweed for my hummers so I had to buy them. Bought a huge clerodendrum (?) but blooms haven't opened yet.

Had to edit b/c it switched pictures after clicking to post.

Helena clero has 2 accepted spellings, "drum" as you and I spelled it and
"dron" is also accepted. Thats what I read a few yrs ago. Could have been
in my Logees catalog that i read it.

Thanks Helena. I have been tagging the LYK blooms so should have seeds to share.
As soon as I harvest a pod, will check the seed color.
Most of my sds are still green so just waiting on them to mature.

Thanks ladies. Linda my daughter took me to a Hummingbird Festival in LA. It was very nice. I saw loads of hummers, too many to count.

too late to mark them. Had to take my DD to the dentist for root canals and crowns
By the time I got home, they were closing and didn;t know which was which,

Linda, dd did not have to wait long at the Dentist, they were waiting for her when we got there so they took her right on back.
I went back home to finish chores and went back for her later

Our stores never offer sale plants. We have walmart and home depot. This summer I was there, they had several carts with plants that needed a drink of water. I asked how much, and he said they are not allowed to give discounts or give them away. They have to be thrown out.

Linda, thats a shame. I know our Lowes store does the same thing. They won;t water the inside plants, I guess just wanting the refund they get from the growers

Funny or strange how same stores at different locations operate. Our Lowes here offers plants that are not looking good or past their season for cheap anywhere from $1.00 to $10.00. I have to want a plant real bad for the higher price though.
