Merry Christmas Swap 2014 "What did Santa bring?"
Once again, the Holidays are quickly approaching and it’s time to spread Christmas Cheer to our fellow DG friends! Since everyone’s talents and tastes are different, the Gifts you share may be handmade or purchased.

Our annual Christmas exchange is always a popular event. Let’s make this year’s the best one yet! BUT THERE IS A TWIST! THIS YEAR YOU WILL SEND THINGS TO YOUR BUDDY TO SPELL THE WORD "CHRISTMAS". For example:
C- Candy
H- Homemade
R- Really Wanted or Needed
I- It's a Gift from the Heart
S- Snowman
T- To be Planted
M- Made with Love
A- Amaryllis
S- Seeds
PLEASE POST OTHER SUGGESTIONS TO SPELL THE WORD!

Reveal your Secret Santa when you receive your package. All packages need to be Economy or Priority Mailed with a Delivery Confirmation number no later than the week of December 6th. If you’re mailing breakables, wrap them well in bubble wrap and insure the contents.
The value of the Gifts you send should be around $20, excluding /EconomyPriority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation Number. Keep your receipt handy and D-mail the number you use to me. To ensure privacy, please do not post tracking numbers directly on our threads.

Have fun! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Susie my answer is....Cialis

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

So sorry Take another guess :) & Your little tykes Just take after their Mischiefious (ms) Mother right :) ??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Candy canes represent the shepherds crook?

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Close LK but Guess again :) got to lay back soon BB For coffee In the morning

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

The Christmas Candy Cane is a wonderful Christian Christmas symbol. The pure white symbolizes the purity of the Virgin Birth and the sinlessness of Christ. The rock-hardness symbolizes Christ the solid rock, the sure foundation of the believer. The "J" stands for JESUS the Savior, the name which is above every name. The three stripes symbolize the whipping that Jesus took as payment for our sins and the broad stripe His shed blood for our sins on the Cross.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Who knew?

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

WINNER LK Now we will Pass the Cane Onto you to come up with a Puzzle :))))) to many candy Mints can't fall asleep:)

Ocean Springs, MS

Look at you girls! Taking the initiative to start the games without me! Some of my kids and my sister sure could learn something from y'all.

One year a student of mine gave me a candy cane with that story on it. Even though I taught high school, my students always got treats on holidays! never too old for a treat! And many of them gave me gifts. They knew I collected frogs, so I have quite a few stuffed frogs, frog paintings, frog mugs and glasses, and even a frog pinata that they gave me!

Ok, Linda Kay, I'll have to get some prizes since you guessed the first question. And you may post the next question or I will if you want.

Amanda, be good! Santa is watching!

everyone have a good night! ♥

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What state was the first to recognize Christmas as an official holiday. This tradition began in 1836.

Ocean Springs, MS

I know, but I can't play because I'm the one sending prizes! LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL! Are we sending answers to someone and drawing a name, or do we answer here?

Otway, OH(Zone 6b)

Alabama

Ocean Springs, MS

Let's do the answers by DMAIL.
SEND YOUR ANSWER TO THE PERSON WHO POSTED THE QUESTION.
SHE WILL DRAW A NAME AFTER 24 HOURS FROM POSTING THE QUESTION.
IF YOU WIN, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR POSTING THE NEXT QUESTION.
NOTE: ONCE YOU WIN, YOU MAY STILL PLAY THE GAME, BUT YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANOTHER PRIZE!

How's that, Linda Kay? If Katgroves is right, you may go ahead and post that she's the winner!
I will start sending out prizes next week!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

She is correct. So she will post the next question.

Ocean Springs, MS

Katgroves, you got it right! Please post the next question. :)

Winners:
Linda Kay
Kathy

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

I didn't realize the question Susie posted was part of the game lol. I must have missed something! So I guess it has officially started. Better pay attention ladies!

(Crystal) Waverly, AL

Badcat, that elf and cookie is really funny!!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy,

Getting ready for buffalo
Of course who had to put Christmas swap box in the car so she wouldn't forget it?

Took a terrible fall down the staircase because of ice/snow

Same person is now opening same box to see what didn't make the 6 foot toss when falling?

Grrrr

(Crystal) Waverly, AL

Geez, Betty. Not so worried about box as hoping nothing on YOU broke or bruised.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just checked the box, cannot believe all is in tact so able to post

Worse hit was my head that actually broke a rung out of the railing, bruised, headache but nothing broken

Girls I'm travelling with for Christmas shopping said they would keep close eye out incase of concussion!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you have company, but you should stay home.
