This is the Thread where you can talk your head off about anything re the Swap.

Have you NOT checked my replies to your D-mail you sent?
That is a good place to chat about things that would not be of general
interest here on the Threads....
Advice--Questions--finding out how something works, but it seems you have deciphered DG pretty well.

Stop by if I am home.......Gita

Big ole Mid Atlantic welcome, Terp and Tmc!!!

Ruby - I'll be coming solo...unless of course I'm escorted by a nephew or a Chloe that LOVES plants. LOL

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Chantell, maybe you can car pool with somebody at least part of the way... company on a road trip is good!

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Jill ^_^ you are always so sweet. No worries though - I've kinda gotten used to it with the way the side job was for the past 3-4 years...I put on 'The Highway' and enjoy my new found love of country music while enjoying the scenery...it's all good!!!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

True, I forget about how much driving you've been doing with that job!

Well, anybody who wants to carpool or caravan from our direction is welcome to do so... closer to the date, we'll figure out who all is coming from or through Frederick and see what makes sense.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

We can't make it, either. Got a craft show & need all the extra $$$ we can get since we are retired seniors. So sorry we can't. Judy, Bob & Fritzie Showers p.s. finally getting around to planting the swap plants I got in May at Holly's swap.

Judy - Sorry to hear that you can't make the swap. I have some Aristolochia serpentaria seedlings put aside for you to add to your Aristolochia collection. Guess I'll bring them to the seed swap in February.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Me too, Judy...I was thinking yesterday, I should dmail Buttonneer and make sure she saw this.
One thing for sure, you have fun wherever you go!

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Speedie - It won't be too late until September 16th.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Askalon & Speeedie! Yaaay!

Not sure what I'll have to bring, either... but I'll figure it out! Wish the garden would cooperate with some tomatoes...

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Yaaayyy me too!! < =D

OK, I have posted on the "haves & wants" thread, I've thought of a few things to share, yaayy!! =)

Gosh I'm so excited I can't sit still! I felt bad for missing the Spring/late-summer get-together, everything was so crazy trying to figure out when I could go see Mamma (who is doing GREAT, btw), but all is settled down again now. I can't wait! =)

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

Speedie - You posted on the "Haves/Wants " discussion thread, but you need to post a simple list of Haves and Wants on this thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1272810/

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Oh, I didn't see that one, thank you! =)

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Thanks David!

This is off-topic but the National Arboretum is having a "BLUE MOON" hike at the end of the month FYI. I have been on a few hikes and they are 2-3 miles in 2 hours, with half a dozen talking points.

Yea they do them throughout the winter. You can pay for them or volunteer to be a tail for the hike. There is a group leader and two tails
The tails check people in and bring up the rear or tail of the group to make sure nobody wonders off. Of course you need to go fill out some paperwork beforehand. I have done a handful and it is always nice to get out of the house and hike. The hikes take place around the full moon each month September through april. If anybody has questions or needs more details DM me.

What a cool adventure a full moon hike would be. I get a little thrill run through me on full moon nights when closing the front drapes and spying this great creation of nature. I also always think of the events taking place in my life during these times because I am a true believer in the moon affecting so much more than we are aware of. Lots of crazy things go on during that phase.

Y'all have fun who get to go.

There are more hikes throughout the winter. I'm not sure if they have a list serve or you just have to keep checking the website. I suppose you could e-mail or call the Arboretum and ask. I'm pretty sure if you organized a large enough group they might do a private group hike.

Crozet, VA

Hi Paul, I won't be doing the hike unless I can borrow a wheel chair from someone, but it is really a cool idea and maybe a group of Dave's Mid Atlantic Gardeners can plan on doing one together. Wouldn't that be the cat's pajamas? Thanks for the info.

Ohhh Ruby THAT would be great!! Terp - I've found various others as well...Sept's full moon lands on a weekend and then we dont' have one till after winter

Isn't there a "Blue Moon" this month?????
I heard something about that on the radio....

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

I think so. Blue Moon simply means a full moon that is the second one to occur in one calendar month.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Happens approx every 2.5 years....in case anyone was wanting to know that information...LOL

Crozet, VA

It is new info to me...thanks y'all. Have heard the term many times, but didn't know exactly what it meant.

Ruby
