Beautiful moth Burn!
Lovely pix Nan.
Great shot of the Hummingbird Moth, nanny. Look at its curled up little proboscis.
Cute turtle, Kim.
Now that you've mentioned Margaret. Nan has done an exceptional shot of the hummingbird moth with the monarda flower.
Oh Nanny, that is a great find. I`ve only seen it once, and that was last year.
Thanks Kim, do you think, that the turtles might be coming in to lay it`s eggs. Neat, that you keep seeing some.
I had a big surprise this evening, The Moth in the picture above had laid some eggs, on my window sill, when I had brought it in for a photo shoot, because it was raining out. Well I saved the eggs, and they have all hatched today. Just in time, to show my GDs the tiny caterpillars. They are now in a container with some of their favorite food.
A family of Mallards ducks at the park this afternoon.
Wonderful on both counts, Burn.
Mike, such a sharp picture of the Tachinid fly! Nicely done. Nan, Ooooh, the neighbor isn't goin' to be too happy with the doe. lol
Deer meat taste really good with fresh vegetables. (~;
LOL! Just a bit early....DH saw 3 bucks the other morning with HUGE racks in a herd of about 20 deer. Boy was he excited about that!

LOL...."early"...naaah...they become "nuisance" animals if they get in my garden and I have a "no tolerance nuisance animal policy". (~;
Tell your DH, to keep on them big boys it won't be long!!
Not sure what it is.
I looks to be a Common Buckeye (Junonia coenia) caterpillar. Nice shots, btw!!
Thanks for the ID DWMike...really enjoyed your macro shots!
Awww, I wished I get to see does around here, one in a blue moon I see a group of deers from a distance. Nice pics. Nan. Burd, love all those photos, like Nan I favored the bullfrog, but will take the caterpillar since it will turn into a beautiful butterfly. lol Thanks Mike for the I.D.
