Photos from Seed Swap2-27-2010
My client here--seated to my left---is totally bereft! She has spent her entire life hybridizing the missing seeds! Her life's work! The guilty person will be buried 3' deep in a compost pile if he/she does not step forward!
I say !!! Return her Day Lily seedsNOW--OR--on this slip of paper is your DOOM!
You will be drowned in a vat of Soy sauce with Ginger stuffed down your throat! There will be NO mercy!!!!
You will have Bamboo sticks shoved under your fingernails--and you will NEVER garden again! THERE!
WE KNOW who you are!!!!...........................................................:o (evil grin)
THE END!!!!!!!!!
Great Gita, thanks for the pics.
Gita, you're too much - this is GREAT, thank you so much for the photos! Really sorry to miss it but it looks like everyone had a great time :) I'll look forward to hearing if anyone picked up some great buys at DPF!
Gita, those captions are just too funny. I've been trying for months not to laugh hard because it stirs up this stupid cough that just won't go away - but here I sit, laughing and hacking away :-) Terri
Gita- that was funny!
Four hours just flew by. I learned that Greenthumb99 and wife Pat are interested in wildflowers and kayaking--but by that time my brain was too fried to remember what some of them looked like- we'll have to get into that another time. I notice wildflowers. Esp when they have to be weeded from the beds.
I hope you all noticed the beautiful necklace and earrings Robin/Catbird wore. She made them!
I was glad to meet Julie, jfleming, and Jim, owners of those great cold frames we saw in the fall. We could have spent more time commiserating over taking out huge overgrown bushes, we did a share of that when we bought this house too.
And wish I had more time to catch up with others that I've met before ~oh well, the time flies. I have more seeds than I know what to do with, and will be sending some to Carolyn; realized too late that I was supposed to be looking out for her WANTS gosh I hope the givers put them in the sack critter had ready for everybody (nice touch!)
Gita, Great photos and fun narrative. It was great to see you and everyone else. I loved getting to see so many folks. Had a great time getting to know Orchid Fancy and Jim & Julie Fleming. Spent some time getting to know Froggy, Greenthumbs and wife.
Loved getting to see Robin, Miata, Terri, Bec and Chantell. Gita was looking great as usual. I was a little distracted by my assigned mission of getting Holly & Ric to leave on time for their grandson's banquet.. There was not enough time to talk to everyone, but I'll remember you, even if I can't remember your name. What a great group of folks DGers are!!
Thank you, Gita for the swell photos with captions. Had I been more alert, I would have brought our camera, too, but it was not to be this year. Boy, just looking at under my chin, I should really have some plastic surgery there. I look just like my Grandma! Ach Gemeinheidt.! (which means in German, "It's not fair.") Judy (Buttoneer)
