The leaves on most of my plants have TINY light-green to yellow spots with some leaves showing larger areas of yellow patches. There also appears to be a fine dustlike substance on the top and bottom of leaves that comes off when whiping with fingers. Is it disease, a bug or lacking something in nutrition? I appreciate any help. Sorry, can't get pictures to load on pc.

Sounds like s-mite feeding sites. If what comes off is yellowish, look to them as your problem. Do you have a loupe or magnifying glass ..... or are you familiar with how to check for their presence with a white sheet of paper?
