Wow, with modern medicine I would certainly think you are looking at over 100 then Victor. How about mom's side of the family?
Your dad and my brother would get along great. Does your dad like all sports? Politics is not a good discussion with my brother.
And I would like to say my brother eats healthy, but that not the case, although he doesn't smoke, and drinks very moderately, but a fried burger and french fries for dinner is his usual meal. A box of cereal for breakfast after his run, and a few glasses of milk. He's 6'4" and just under 200.
Coffee Break #27 - Return of the light
Dad is not really into sports much anymore. My maternal grandmother died at 83. Amazing, after 18 pregnancies and 15 kids! Grandfather was an alcoholic and died when my mom (the youngest) was four. He was in his 50's, I think.
I agree Drs need a reason we die, but to label one with a history of family heart disease when the family didn;t have it until almost 90 seems kind of silly to me.
Who might poor Damien be that you are wishing to pelt rocks at?
Holy crap! Poor woman.
So OK, counting the other grampa out, you can expect to live to over 100.
Hopefully however long it is, they're healthy years. That's why I need to get this knee problem corrected. Gone on too long already and I'm too young to 'live with it.'
Damien the Spawn of Satan Tree Rat named thus as he is a scrawny black squirrel with a kink in his tail. He is my immortal enemy and I have no guilt about throwing clay chunks at him. I have finally defeated him with underground fencing over my deep planted bulbs but the battle continues over the baby seedlings and iris.
Lots of DG birthdays today!
Ahhhh, I wouldn't mind clocking Damien one, either.
Interesting ad campaign...

Very cool! OK...how many takers do you think they'll get?
Unfortunately, the victims are usually not the driver.
Thank you Victor.. I missed you guys.. the wind knocked my computer connection out.. all fixed up now!!!
I do wear ankle weights every other day and wrist weights sometimes. I also do some minor weight lifting but haven't managed to do that on a regular basis like I do the walking.
Thought this was kind of funny...imagine if it was like that now!!

LOL! I like the responses from the readers. It is about respect thou, then and now.
Not a fan of ankle weights.
Not a fan of being a catering housewife either.
Ahhh! Those were the good 'ole days, they should bring those days back! (lol!)
(I almost bought a copy of that Renoir but I got 'Girl with a Hoop' and a floral still life by him instead)
Just caught the Housewife in the 50's, SNORT I grew up then, and if my Mom was here to read this, she'd split a seam laughing. The neighbor was an at home mom and probably would've gotten a good laugh also. They had 6 kids and as I remember at least one "Wait till your father gets home" a day. I was a little jealous since my Mom went to work, at the time it seemed like every day. Ric

Got the tree out today. Minimal mess, thanks to the Lee Valley cover. And surprisingly I did not miss any ornaments. Normally I find one or two when I get the tree outside. Was able to 'free' the kitties from the basement!
I told my husband I'd do it this weekend but he doesn't want to yet.
Been up three weeks - long enough for me. I'll start on the rest of the decorations Sunday or Monday.
Ha! onewish! Twisted Sister, I like it!
Victor a very Happy New Year to you too:
And the duh awards are soooo duhhhh.
I kinda like the after holiday getting back to normal part. :)

Me too. I like the 'down time' of winter, even though I can't stand the cold and darkness.
My tree is still drinking about three cups of water a day, a good sign it's still healthy, so we will keep it up awhile longer.
I usually have to convince DH it's time to take it down by mid January
Wow - that's late!
i will take ours down on tuesday
