Pixie your lilies are splendid. I never remember having any trouble with earwigs on my buds, but they sure have been having a field day this year. They are so gross! The Japanese Beetles are less prevalent for me this year, that said, I still have enough to sink a ship though.

It's been one of those weeks here where something so nice as Buggy Crazy opening has made my day. That and all of your blooms here! Moby...HB is lovely as well! Stands on its own nicely!

Love that Kentucky! Does it always bloom this late?

here are the ones I picked up at HD tags say Mona Lisa & Stargazer ... I don't think I ever saw a stargazer so short though

They are beautiful, but they don't look like 'Mona Lisa' or 'Stargazer'. The littlest one almost reminds me of 'Angelique' but the flower looks too big.

How does your species 'Album' do for you? This was to be my first time growing this one and the critters got them. I will have to devise another scheme.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

Susan, Kentucky and Suncrest were both purchased at the end of May so were late into the ground, hence the late season bloom. They're both classified as LA lilies. I just reviewed the pics in the Brent/Becky catalog and I may have the labels reversed.

fleur-guy, 'Album' has been a consistent performer for me over the last several years. It and rubrum always are the last two lilies to bloom here.

What awesome lilies, everyone :-) I was just looking through all of your postings. Tracy, you have such a huge and phenomenal collection - I never realized you had so many lilies. And I am surprised the Midwesterers have so much blooming so far into August! I do have some blooming - in a pot, LOL.

Just placed my Buggycrazy order - and Old house Gardens...and my B&D catalogue is here :-)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Critters got my 'Album' which was new this year too. I wanted to see it bloom so bad...maybe next year.

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

jmorth, your Kentucky is labeled correctly.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

We can thank the exceptionally long spring and cool summer for the extended bloom.

Look what else popped up in my garden! On the last leg of a long bike trip, Wanda and DH Bill stopped by for a visit.

Hi Wanda. Hi Bill. Hi Moby!
Hope you're all having fun visiting. Can't wait to hear the Sturgis (SP?) stories.

Don't understand about "Kentucky" as mine was classified as an asiatic.

One of my new late bloomers. "Eudoxia"

I was thinking Eudoxia was peachy orange?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

Neal, PF says orangey-peachy: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/174815/

Maxine, re: pic of Kentucky--the blue flower in the upper right side is beautiful, what is it?

Neal, did you get daffs at OHG? me too. Did you get lilium there too? just curious.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Maxine...so good to see you again ;) I think your 'Eudoxia' looks like it may be 'Pink Heaven'.

Nice stand of 'Kentucky' too.

And Moby, what a nice surprise, the bikers' visit.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Here is my Eudoxia...I love this one!

Oh boy, someone mislabeled. Maybe me?
Thanks for the input.
My favorite of the new asiatic's are Kentucky, Dot Com, and Volcano.

Nery, I've never ordered from OHG, although I would like to some day. Thus far I've been into planting larger quantities to beef up beds in this big yard, and OHG is just too expensive for me to justify the cost of mass plantings. As I start working on more fine tuning, I'll be adding smaller clumps of more choice bulbs here and there, and will probably use OHG as a source for some of those.

Though I did not buy form Brent and Becky's end of season sale, my neighbor did and brought me over a few that she ordered. This one started with an N but did not get a tag. Novanna or something like that.

All quite lovely. How is the bloom time compared to Late Pink?

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

Close rendition mags...it's listed as Navona.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Thanks. I had to plop it in real quick one day and promised myself to run back and label it.....well, uh...you know how that goes?

I think all of them bloom at just about the same time Moby. Perhaps 'Late Pink' being the ltest of the three by a week. Mine are all nearby each other. They are happy neighbors ;)
