this is him doing what he does best..... Attacking things!!! Believe it or not, this move of his is intentional. he walks around the sprinkler with his leash, then grabs the other end of the leash and plays tug-of-war with the sprinkler. At first I thought that it was chance that he wrapped the leash around it. But, after taking the leash off of the sprinkler the first time and seeing him put it right back on, I knew better!!

OMG you guys. The raccoons got to my pond. They completely destroyed all the plants, broke half the marbles off, and I can't even tell if there are any fish or tadpoles because the water is so full of muck. I'm devistated. I don't care if it's illegal, I'm going to start shooting those any time I see them on my property. OMG.

*crying*

I don't even care about the fish- they were just feeders. I'm worried about the tadpoles. I only had 11 to start with. If they got them, there's nothing I can do, it's too late to get any more.

I'm so upset I feel sick. I can't even go clean up the mess yet, I'm too freaked out right now.

I can't use a real gun to shoot at them because we're in the city, it wouldn't be safe (and I'd go to jail, I'm sure) and I'll bet the pellet gun wouldn't even penetrate their thick fur. I need hard core poison I can put in marshmallows so only they would eat it. I have no idea where to get something like that.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

Pony... you're right, pellet guns don't hurt them. But, they do scare them off. If they come back or not will likely depend on how hungry they are and what's available near you. Where I used to live, I could use a pellet gun and that would keep them away for a day/night or two. I don't have a pellet gun any more.... unfortunately! So now I use a sling shot. Oh how I love watching them run!! But, they do come back. I wish I could poison them too. But, I fear that I'd kill my cats instead. My boss put a small electrical fence around his pond and put it on a timer to only come on in the evening. That worked until they started showing up during the day. Now, he usually leaves it on all the time. Anyhow, that doesn't get rid of his raccoons, but that does keep them out of his pond.

Katye... absolutely gorgeus!

Pony, I sympathize for you. Raccoons have an evil side!
Katye, absolutely gorgeous is an understatement!!!!

Pony - very sad, and I'm sure it hit you very hard.
Please list the plants that you lost. Perhaps we can help you. No pond here, but if there is anything on your list that I have, i would be happy to share.
