And here's the really exciting part (to me, anyway) ~ I planted one Tramp bulb in the Fall of '06 and added another in '07. Now I have 5 full stems and 9 little stems. Sure wish all orientals increased like that!

NOID, one of my first lilies...

I've been lurking for months, I think, enjoying everyone's gorgeous lilies (and adding more to my list even though I really don't have any more room...). There have been so many wonderful ones that I can't compliment them individually, but I've sure enjoyed seeing all the pictures! :) Finally, finally, I can post a few of mine. They seem late this year-or I'm more impatient than usual, lol!

Oh, I do want to say that Katinka is really nice-where did you get it?

First, my cute little Mt Duckling

Part of my clump of Mt. Bachelor-these are as tall as I am, and only in their second year. I got these in Gemini-Sage's coop last year, and they sure are sturdy, good growers and bloomers.

Buggycrazy's Alexly, with a bit of morning sun partially behind the bloom. This one's new for me this year and I'm really liking it a lot

Another Alexly in shade. I think the colors show a little better in this one. It just opened Weds. morning

Another Buggycrazy lily, Dry Rot. I think, considering this one's name, that it's ironically appropriate that you can see my neighbor's "clean green" garden waste tote a little out of focus behind it. This is actually a nice lily despite its name.

FInally, a leaning "Fairest" from TLG. I need to do a little pruning for this one, I think-either that or move it next year.....

You have some nice ones I haven't seen before susybell. Glad you're finally getting some blooms.

What is some lilies that would do well in pots? I have several out in the garden but would love to put a couple on the front porch to add height and color to my other container plants.
Thanks,
Teresa

Moby and Susybell, what great lilies ! I like Katinka and Mt Duckling, and Dry Rot is cool. Mary it is interesting that you have Orientals and Asiatics blooming at the same time.....I am trying to get a feel for when everyone's Orientals bloom depending on the location.

Hi Steve, I haven't been posting lately, but 'Muscadet' has been blooming up a storm. Odd enough, my Stargazer hasn't yet.

Midnight Raspberry is beautiful! Love the name too. L.candidum is one I've coveted for years- is it fragrant?

Yelloween started blooming a couple of days ago here.

S-W Gardens is where Katinka came from. http://www.s-wgardens.com/
Steve ~ SW also has an easy to read list of bloom season. BC lists Tramp as an early Oriental and she's my first.

Katinka is gorgeous! Thanks for the link, Moby. I hadn't found them before. So that's where some of your many beauties come from!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

jmorth--where did you get your 'Lady Alice'?

ticker--where did you find 'Lilian'?

My Mom goes out to dinner on Wednesday each week with two elderly ladies whose names are Alice and Lillian. I thought it would be fun to buy her some lilies with names she could remember. She already has a 'Gladys my Love' iris for an old family friend named Gladys.
