I love Johnny's format. The catalog is so complete.You have instructions for starting and growing each variety right next to where you select your seeds. Everything that I have purchased from Johnny's has been delivered in a timley manner and was in exellent condition .

I haven't order from them in the last couple of years, but always was pleased with what I ordered from them. I look forward to their catolog every year.

Great! I've dealt w/Johnny's for over 12 yrs and have never had any problem. They are VERY knowledgable people who often-times "lead the way" with not just seed stock but also with education concerning planting/planting times, potential problems (pests and diseases), and a wonderful mixture of friendliness combined with business...a rare find.

Shipping is fast.I received a wrong packet of seeds and called them. They told me to keep the seeds and sent me out the correct packet immediately. I found that they are friendly and reliable and will answer any questions that you may have.

And Johnny's Select Seeds. I cannot say enough about them! In my opinion, they are absolutely the GREATEST seed company I have EVER dealt with. I organically gardened 20,000 sq. foot for 12 years in AR and 90% of my seeds were ordered from Johnny's. They are so prompt it was just unbelievable. Example: I faxed them a $50 order before 7 AM on a Monday, my order arrived three days later!! I NEVER had seeds that were misrepresented or didn't grow as promised. I'm getting an order together to send in to them "as we speak."

I am an Advanced Master Gardener; I start many seeds every year under lights. Johnny's is one of the best companies out there. Their seeds are of a superior quality. They post the expected germination rate on each packet; my experience is that the germination rate exceeds expectations every time. A superb company.

I am a small commercial grower, and have been ordering from Johnny's for years. Couldn't be better! The absolute best in quality and service. I have never been disappointed. Johnny's even sent me a refund once for seed they had sent which they later found out was the wrong variety. I didn't even know it, and had been happy with the seed. What a bonus! When they do make mistakes (rare) they more than make up for it. Johnny's sets a very high standard by which I now judge all the others.

Johnny's is great! They say they'll ship your order within 2 business days, and they actually do it! All the seeds I've gotten from them have performed beautifully for me. My only 'complaint' is that they have such an extensive variety, it's hard for me to narrow my choices down. I want to plant them all! Also, I've emailed them with questions and I've called them. In both cases, I got a helpful, friendly answer right away. Isn't that incredible? I'll definitely be ordering from Johnny's again!

So far great! Tom, the man who helped me with my order, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I ordered my vegetable seeds on a Monday and they arrived Thursday of that same week. (I live in California, on the other side of the country from Johnny's.) I just took a peek at my seeds. All the 7-day germinators are right on schedule and I suspect those that take longer will be showing themselves at the expected time as well. I was so impressed with the personal, friendly service I received from these folks that I wanted to write this review immediately. But I waited to be sure the seeds were good and they are. Now that I've discovered Johnny's, I plan on ordering from them for each season's planting. I recommend them whole-heartedly.

Excellent selection and quality, knowledgeable sales representatives, same day shipping. If an error occurs they make it right and do so quickly. They are my first choice seed supplier as a small commercial grower.

I have used Johnny's as a seed source for three years. While their seed selection is not extensive (nothing like Thompson & Morgan), their service is outstanding. Phone orders placed in the morning will, typically, ship the same day. Orders placed by mail take a few days longer to ship. Of the seed houses I have used, Johnny's remains the most prompt in shipment and will remain on my "favored" list.

These guys are great! We got exactly what we ordered, promptly and for the 2 items which weren't in stock an immediate refund which followed a couple of days later! I will sure purchase from Johnny's Selected Seeds again!

I've ordered from them and found them to be prompt, accurate, helpful and reasonably priced. They're catalog is *great* -- full of necessary cultural information and other useful tips -- and they have an extremely wide selection of herbs and perennial seeds. I've been very pleased with them and would not hesitate to recommend them highly.

Best catalogue yet for 1997!! Their selection for us northern gardeners is wonderful; for a treat, try visiting their retail store. I was treated like family (I am not related!) They are out there in the sticks, but it is well worth a visit. Check out their web site, too.

Their catalog is also like a mini gardening book. Lots of good information on what plants like, who eats 'em, etc.

Johnny's Selected Seeds responded to my questions immediately! Bigger isn't always better.

If some are not aware of this device they should be made so - the solar vent carried by this company is the best thing to come down the pike in ages. Finally am able to start all kinds of things in cold frame or greenhouse, and know the temperature is OK... no electricity needed, and reasonable...if you've ever cooked your seedlings you need this item.

I recently ordered from Johnny's and was very happy with their service. I placed my order by fax and it was filled accurately and very quickly - I'd expected at least a week to go by - instead I received my order just four days after placing it. The seed packets came with good instructions on how to best plant and care for the plants and had more complete information than their excellent catalog.

Great catalog! Wonderful variety of vegetable seeds including many Japanese and Chinese greens, grains/grasses, and herbs. They provide information on climate restrictions and growing information. My first order was by phone and I received my order within three days, well packaged. Second order was by mail and personal check and I received the order in a little over a week. You can order small packets, partial ounces, ounces or pounds. Some prices are a bit high, but for such good quality seeds and service Johnny's is well worth a try.

Although Johnny's operates out of Maine, the catalog selections for cool & short summer veggies are outstanding for the Pacific Northwest. We love the extensive list of lettuces and have enjoyed great success with the peas, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce and squash varieties. The catalog is lovely, and the service has been outstanding.
