I'm working with Nearly Native to relandscape my lot with native species. Should take me 5 years to do it all because I'm doing it myself. I've been dealing with them for the past year, and plan to continue working with them for the entire project. They listen, ask all the right questions (soil type, drainage, etc.), and have recommended gorgeous, hardy plants I would not otherwise have considered, and which the chain stores don't carry. While the yards around me will all have the "developer treatment", mine will be a real Southern habitat with year-round color, wildlife, and low maintenance -- like the home I grew up in at the edge of an old Georgia woods. Honest, fair, knowledgable, and just pain nice folks. What more could you ask?

Visited the nursery recently at their new location on at 776 McBride Road, Fayetteville, Ga. Large selection of plants to choose from and they will keep expanding as the owners fill up the new acreage. I printed off the pics of plants that I wanted from their excellent website and they were very helpful in locating and selecting the best plants for me. I'll be very excited to see my new azaleas blooming next year. The owners were very helpful in helping me come up with the plants for next year for different sun, shade, and moisure areas in my yard. An added bonus were the snakes they keep on site for educational purposes (for snake-o-phobes, the room is separate and you don't have to go near them if you don't want to). We got a nice tour and learned about the various venomous and non-venomous snakes in our region.

An excellent nursery that specializes in native plants for the Southeast. They have many rare species. My plants arrived well packaged, very healthy and clearly labeled. While I had paid for just one division or 1 rooted cutting of a plant several plants were included of each type. I contacted the nursery with various questions and received prompt polite responses. One of the irises I ordered had new growth but the bulb was mushy. The nursery told me that the iris was OK, to go ahead and plant it anyway and assured me if there is no growth in the spring they will replace it or give me a credtit. I will definitely order from this nursery again.

I just placed my second order with this company and am very pleased. All the plants from my first order a year ago have done well. This new order arrived today and the plants look great. Packing was wonderful too. I am very pleased with Nearly Native Nursery and will continue to order from them. Since the plants are native to the Souteast they have outperformed most of my fancier hybrids with a whole lot less effort on my part.

Excellent company! Jim and Debi Rodgers are incredible sources of information on native plants. I have never found the selection they have at any other nursery. They will get back with you promptly if you leave a message, and packing and shipping are both excellent. If I need something, I always call Nearly Native first. If they don't have it, they will try to find it. Very reasonably priced too!

I ordered a Callicarpa for $6, which I thought was a pretty good price. Because their shipping charge is _very_ high ($15 min for up to $10 order), they added three more plants at $1 each to give me the most for my shipping money. The plants arrived in good shape in the 10 days they quoted.

Also, I was talked out of ordering a Franklin tree that would have died through neglect and lack of know-how on my part. Other places would probably have just taken my money, sent it on, and let me kill it.

I like that they sell native and endangered plants.

An absolutely superb source of native trees, shrubs, and perennials, including some hard-to-find species. I ordered from them in December 2001 and received the plants about a week later. Very well packed, bare-rooted shrubs with extremely well-developed root systems. All seem still to be OK and some are now (early April 2002) breaking dormancy. I e-mailed first to check availability and received prompt and helpful advice. Thoroughly recommended.

I have ordered several times from Adams nursery. All the plants arrived healthy and superbly packaged. The longleaf pine, fringe tree, Alabama crotons, sweet shrubs, dwarf palmetto, Hypericum frondosum and Aster georgianus are all doing quite well. Last year I drove down to the nursery to pick up some plants as it was past their last date for shipping. Really nice folks. If you like Southeastern U.S. natives, their site is worth checking out.
