A terrific experience start to finish. Unusual plants, some completely unavailable elsewhere. Such cordial and capable assistance with the order, both by phone and email. Excellent packing, with the plants arriving in perfect condition. All in all, a great pleasure.

Ordered a group of trees........recieved them in a flash, HAPPY, FRIENDLY, folks.........Packaged better than I would have done, and they had ALL the roots, and are currently thriving well......The people at "TY TY" should order something from them to learn how to do mail order plant business. I will certainly order again from "Nearly Native Nursery" !!!

Debi Rodgers was very pleasant and helpful in answering my emails and taking my order. I ordered a Ash Magnolia, Magnolia ashei and received it 3 days later. It was packaged very carefully and the roots were still in their dirt and moist. My family is very pleased. Now, I just wish I had lots more money to buy more and more space to plant. It is so wonderful to deal with honest people.

I would like to join the common refrain here. Nearly Native Nursery has provided great service to me for more than a decade. Communication has always been very friendly and detailed. The prices are very reasonable, and the plants I've purchased from them have always arrived in perfect condition. I'm grateful for their many hard-to-find offerings and for their work of promoting knowledge of -- and love for -- our beautiful native species. May they prosper for many years to come.

I obtained Hymenocallis bulbs from these folks. The bulbs were great. They were well packed and promptly shipped. They kept me notified when necessary. They are great.

I have ordered many times from this nursery. The plants are top quality, delivery is fast and excellent customer service. Will not hesitate to order again.

I recently ordered 11 plants from Nearly Native and have been very pleased with the nursery and the plants. I mailed the order on Thursday and the plants arrived the following Monday. The nursery is approximately a 5 hour drive from my house, not next door. The plants arrived in excellent condition. The packing was good and did its job. The plants are already showing new growth. I am very pleased. And there was a handwritten thank you for the order.

I placed an order for a variety of native shrubs and plants. I made a few changes via e-mail, all without a problem. When the plants were sent, I was told that they shipped me a less-expensive 1-gal Red Bay instead of the 3-gallon I had ordered because the 1-gallon was just about the same size - great service and a savings to me. Plants arrived within 2 days and were well-wrapped and in great condition. The bare root plants in particular were very full. Their web page is very informative and shows what they have in stock.

Great selection of Georgia natives. I went by to pick up a sassafras tree, and the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Will order again.

For my first order in Nov. 2012, I was very pleased with the size and quality of plants. An amazing listing of native trees, shrubs and plants that I have found nowhere else; and they are not 10 inch tree "starts".

I ordered for the first time from Nearly Native this fall. Was very impressed with the quality of the plants when they arrived. More mature than I thought they would be and packed very carefully. They have a laundry list of perennials that are native to the GA area and a wonderful variety of ferns. Love this place. Only wish you could order and pay online.

What a fantastic nursery! Jim & Debi are passionate about their plants and the preservation of our natural habitats. They're equally friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to the novice gardener and expert alike! Botany and biology teachers will find this place a rare jewel on the south side of Atlanta.

I spend about $500 in plants every year and I can tell for sure that nobody in Georgia has a native plant inventory like Nearly Native. Their plants are healthy and the prices are very fair. But the best part is the customer service. These guys walk way out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Jim, has an enormous encyclopedic knowledge and he provides great advice, he truly wants you to be happy with your purchase. I give them a 10 out of 10!

I've ordered three times from NNN, the most recent one my largest order yet. Each time has been a great experience, from the incredible personalized customer care from Jim and Debi, to the excellent condition in which the plants arrive (thanks to outstanding packaging, which protects both the plants and the roots). Although I'm a regular at the NC Botanical Garden, it has limited selections and sizes, so this is my go-to place for native plants!

I went to Nearly Native Nursery with three plants on my want list and a few questions. I was assisted very quickly and my three plants were located and very good information about how to plant and how to use them was freely given. I also had some questions about some palms I was trying to grow and got a very much appreciated tour of the palms growing on site and lots of helpful instruction on how to deal with my baby palms. I throughly enjoyable and educational experience.

Chalk Maple came in great shape, well packed and shipped pretty quick. Good job.

1. Nearly Native had many native shrubs that I was having trouble finding elsewhere at prices I could afford.
2. When there was one shrub I wanted, which they did not have, they tracked it down for me and sent it with the rest of my order.
3. When I caught a mistake on the invoice, they took responsibility for it and corrected it.
4. The plants arrived in great shape. I was impressed with their wrapping & packing procedure which kept the roots wet and the plants stable in their packages.
I would definitely order from them again.

Nearly Native had the difficult to find (almost impossible to find!) plants that we needed for a job. They sent gorgeous plants quickly and beautifully packed. Not a broken leaf in the bunch. They were delightful to work with- rounding up some plants we needed from a nearby grower, answering my questions and shipping immediately. I wish they were closer to my Pennsylvania location... so we could shop there all the time.

When we lost an apple tree to Fireblight 2 years ago we wanted to replace it with a native tree. We found Nearly Native Nursery on-line and visited. It was such a delight! We saw various trees we were considering, and finally selected a lovely Georgia Oak. Jim is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and one of the friendliest people we have ever met. We have been back several times adding to our host of native species, most recently last Saturday. The nursery is one of the loveliest, most tranquil and satisfying places I know to visit. You feel you are visiting a garden rather than a commercial nursery. I just like visiting even when we don't buy anything! This is a must see place for anyone in the Atlanta area and probably the best source anywhere of Southeastern US regional native plants.

I was very pleased with my order from A Nearly Native Nursery. The customer service was fabulous, answering all of my questions over the phone and finding me exactly the plant I wanted. Took my second journey through NNN today and once again walked away with a smile on my face and knowledge in my brain. The owners are incredibly nice and can answer any question that you may have about your plants and probably know the history of them as well. They are just full of amazing knowledge. Their plants are native to the area and they have plants that you don't see at other nurseries. It's worth going just to walk the grounds and explore their beautiful, healthy and bountiful garden. You won't want to leave! And then, they have a little store inside where they also sell various snakes. It's just such a creative, serene and beautiful place to be. Thanks!

As a first-time customer, I have only great things to say about this company. To begin with, the selection of plants offered is incredible. I found things I had been looking for, for years - and other things I didn't even know about before visiting their site. When I called with a slew of questions, they could not have been more helpful and friendly. It was immediately evident that their customers truly matter to them. After placing my order, my plants quickly arrived (I couldn't believe how quick) and I was astounded by the quality of them all. I've been gardening for years and I've never purchased such beautiful, healthy-looking plants - they took my breath away! All the way around, it was an excellent experience. I've been purchasing native bushes, trees etc. for some time and have bought from several different nurseries. Nearly Native certainly ranks as my #1 or #2 choice depending on what plant I'm looking for and if they carry it. Their customer service was fantastic, the lead times were short and the manner in which they package their plants is extremely well thought out. The method by which they protect there plants during shipping enables the plants to get to your location with nothing more than a bud or 2 missing, if that. From a person who's been shipping products for many years, kudos to Nearly Native in this regard. This first time customer will most definitely be making further purchases in the future. My plants look healthy, are popping out nicely and were in great condition when received.

Just completed my second purchase from NNN. They are always helpful and friendly people and the plants arrived in great shape.

The azalea that I ordered from Nearly Native Nursery (Rhododendrum flammeum) arrived in excellent condition. The leaves were all healthy and the rootball was loose and ready to plant. The plant has adjusted to the somewhat dry ground under a gum tree beautifully. The person on the phone at the company was very friendly and answered all my new buyer questions. I am grateful for their service and will buy from them again!

A great place just to visit and learn about native plants from Jim and and Debi who are very helpful and knowledgeable. I took my daughter the first time I visited and she was really entertained by the macaws hanging out in the garden. They have a good selection of native plants that are well cared for and I left with a few plants I had forgotten I wanted to add to my collection. I highly recommend a visit there. It's a little out of the way for me but worth the trip.

A native plant mecca that is all about the plants. Primarily plants of the South Eastern United States. I am lucky enough to pass by the nursery on a semi-regular basis, and have purchased a considerable number of plants over the years. I always find something that has to follow me home. Good people with a true interest in the preservation of our native flora and fauna. I strongly recommend this business, for both the selection and quality of the plants.

A Nearly Native Nursery is more than a nursery, it is also a garden. You are able to see how a plant will look at its mature best in a garden setting. It is wonderful how full of wildlife the garden is, from monarch caterpillars to tree lizards, it really points out the message that planting natives is important. Being good stewards of the land isn't just about the land, it is also about being good stewards for the other living creatures that share the land with us. At A Nearly Native Nursery, they understand and practice truly good stewardship while providing others the opportunity to do the same. Plants arrived intact quite unlike other companies I have ordered from. They look great and are planted for years of enjoyment. I have wanted a Sweet Betsy (sweet shrub/carolina allspice) for a while now and wasn't able to find locally. Now I have one to bring back childhood memories!
