Positive | jkalte (1 review) | On Apr 24, 2015, jkalte Clinton, WA wrote: One of the carpet roses in our Sunset Trio arrived with a hole in the package, completely dried out and sporting a sad, greyish hue. After contacting Dena at customer service, we planted the suspect coral rose, and waited one week, after which there was no improvement. We attempted to prune down the stems to reach solid green, to no avail. We contacted Dena again, and were immediately shipped a very vigorous coral carpet rose replacement. We are extremely happy with this supplier and look forward to enjoying our roses this summer! |
Positive | LIRose (7 reviews) | On Apr 23, 2015, LIRose Peconic, NY wrote: I had never ordered from this company before, but based on the ratings here, last fall (2014) I purchased 30 Ice Follies daffodil bulbs from Easy to Grow Bulbs. Each package of "10 bulbs" actually included about twice that many bulbs, and overall the bulbs were by far the largest I have ever seen in my many years of gardening. Fast-forward to the present day (April 2015), and all of the bulbs are blooming beautifully in my spring garden, are all true to name/label. I am so happy to have found a reputable supplier of quality bulbs. |
Positive | iykim (23 reviews) | On Apr 22, 2015, iykim Hillsborough, CA (Zone 10a) wrote: This is my GO-TO place for bulbs. They have the highest quality and largest size bulbs with decent price/bulb that always perform for me. Since I am in Zone10a, tulips do not do well. However, they recommended the species tulip, and with their advice, I got a couple dozen Tangerine Beauty tulips a few years ago. They bloomed in a spectacular show of electric orange, and the leaves also added interest as they are wavy and sage-green in color. The following year, they came up (ALL of them) and to my surprise, actually more than what I planted came up and bloomed again. They have naturalized and without fail, come up every spring to put on a show. I bought 30 more bulbs from them last fall, and these also were high quality, came up, and bloomed for me this year. I also purchased Belladonna Lily (aka Naked Ladies) bulbs from EG. They were the largest I have seen and also had the best price for these. I highly recommend this place for all your bulb needs. |
Positive | rozrita (2 reviews) | On Apr 21, 2015, rozrita Douglasville, GA wrote: The quality of the plants was by far the best I have ever encountered from a mail-order company. The bare root plants were robust and healthy, not withered and desicated. The live plants were large and lush. Great care was taken when preparing and packaging the plants for shipment. |
Positive | TN_Hosta_Guy (5 reviews) | On Apr 10, 2015, TN_Hosta_Guy Jackson, TN wrote: This one of my first experiences ordering Hostas online, so I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the Fantastic Foliage Collection and a Medio Variegata. The items arrived in under a week and shipping confirmation was given the day after I placed my order. The bulbs arrived packed in great shape and were packed separately with the names of each plant on a nice little package. The bulbs are already starting to sprout in the package, and look very healthy. I would not hesitate to order from them again. |

I have gloriosa lily bulbs that I plant in the spring and bring in the fall. I also ordered a plumeria in 2012 that I overwinter each year and is now 6 feet tall and bloomed last fall!. Last summer I ordered corkscrew vines (yes these were the true versions- not snail vines) and lemon grass. Great customer service and the plants/bulbs are shipped during the appropriate times. I have already placed my 2015 order!! |
Positive | randy_in_topeka (5 reviews) | On Nov 1, 2014, randy_in_topeka Topeka, KS wrote: I ordered ordered 5 Amaryllis, and 4 Iris. They were all received in good condition. The Iris were in excellent condition and size, much better than the ones I received from Gilbert Wild. I usually don't care about bonus plants, but they sent me allium bulbs that I actually want to plant - another source was out. |

Positive | bjl110 (2 reviews) | On Sep 11, 2014, bjl110 Pleasant Grove, OH wrote: Just received my order today. I ordered 3 rhizomes each of 4 varieties of bearded iris. The two blue/purple varieties I ordered look to be good size, and are about what I expected. The two red/orange varieties are huge. Each rhizome is a mother with at least two full size offshoots. Got a free pack of some Amazon lily bulbs, which is fortunate because I was wondering what to grow indoors this coming Winter, plus my wife likes flowers that are orchid-ish and tropical. This place is in the top 5 for a good reason in my estimation. |

Beyond excited to see them coming out of the ground. I was waiting until I saw some growth to place my next order, and after half of them came up I logged on to the website and chose a Kniphofia, a gladioulus package, and some crocosmia. I ordered on wednesday night, and they arrived via FEDEX this morning!! I love how fast they get to me. After using two other mail-order companies that took one month and almost 2 months respectively to get to me, it is such a joy to receive my order so fast. My glad bulbs are so big, my kniphofia is a beautiful healthy size potted plant. I enjoy shopping with this company so much they will be my go-to for online ordering. I encourage anyone to try them out, you will not be disappointed! On March 1st, 2014, jessflowergirl added the following: As the Spring season is upon us I cannot encourage people enough to check out Easy to Grow's website for your spring bulbs and plants. I ordered from them 3 times last year, and almost everything did great! My kniphofia is huge - 4 spires in the first year - couldn't believe how gorgeous it was. My glads are already coming back. I had 100% of my lilies produce beautiful fragrant blooms. I just love this company and I love the quality of their bulbs. I already placed my first order and within a day or two I received a personalized email saying when they expected to ship. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. |

The sale price was very good at $5-6/bulb and the bulbs arrived healthy looking. I was rather pleased with the purchase. Well, the free bulb pack, I think liatris (?), was too dried up to grow though since none showed any sign of life after planting. |

It appears that my emails did not get through to them. He was extremely professional, and issued me a full refund for all the rhizomes, even though I did get 4 that were good. After reading GWD reviews, decided to give it a try again. Ordered dahlias, tuberous begonias and peonies. Really surprised at the size and quality of the tubers. All have sprouted and are growing well. Will be ordering from this company again. |
Positive | Cymbelina (6 reviews) | On May 16, 2013, Cymbelina Prattville, AL (Zone 8a) wrote: Having learned my lesson and now only shopping at Watchdog highly rated companies, I ordered several items. My order arrived very quickly, was perfectly packaged so nothing was damaged and no soil spilled on the potted plants. The bareroot nearly Lady Baltimore hibiscus I ordered had new growth within just three days. They had an excellent price on purple d'oro lilies and I got tons of them and all are a good 12+ inches high and 6-8 inches wide and budding already---I planted them a month ago. I reordered a lot of things I'd ordered from another company more than 10 weeks before and they are in the ground and growing while I still am waiting for the other bulbs from a different company to arrive. They also sent some free bulbs and I look forward to seeing what they'll do. Overall an excellent buying experience. Ignore the Watchdog ratings at your peril and thank you Dave's for sending this vendor my way. Will definitely keep them on my list of preferred vendors! |

Everything I have ordered has come packed appropriately and has flourished with the exception of three red carpet rose bushes. I ordered four red carpet rose bushes and three yellow carpet rose bushes this year. All are doing great except 3 of the red carpet. I emailed them and received a prompt, courteous reply. I was worried I may not get a response, but I have been overly impressed with the numerous communications I have received from Kathleen at Easy to Grow Bulbs! She has put me at ease and has assured me the red rose bushes will take off and if not, they will be replaced. She is wonderful!!! I couldn't ask for anything more!! Believe me, this company is awesome and you won't regret ordering from them. I am a customer for life!!! If you have been hesitant about ordering from them, don't be...go for it...you won't be disappointed! |

I've only ordered plant material from online companies since last year and have had mixed results. What a pleasant surprise to speak with Kathleen at Easy to Grow Bulbs! I called them to get some advice on particular plants and she was patient, kind and enthusiastic. I ordered two different types of gladiolus, dinner plate dahlias, alstromeria, and tuberose and received some lycoris as a bonus. Everything is planted but it's too early to tell how they will do. But I had to jump on here and say what a nice experience I've had so far. |

I just ordered again, and again the bulbs are far larger than I had expected...hopefully they'll perform like the ones I bought last year. |

I ordered three new plants for my garden and they were so much larger than I expected to receive as full plants. I ordered the stevia, which I will use for a natural sweetener, and lemon grass for Asian cooking and tea, and the bay laurel for savory cooking. I am so excited about my new plants and how they are already growing in my garden. I will be ordering more from Easy to Grow Bulbs. |

I ordered mostly spring flowering bulbs and bearded iris, so cannot comment on the flowers at this time, but the bulbs are very large, healthy, and fresh with no mold or rot. The dormant bearded iris rhizomes are at least three times larger than the ones I bought at my local nursery. Since I am in zone 7b, I like their selection of warm climate bulbs. Shipping was also fast, and the order shipped within a week of being placed. |

Positive | Joseph_Cincy (13 reviews) | On Sep 19, 2012, Joseph_Cincy Cincinnati, OH (Zone 6a) wrote: I ordered many scores of camassia bulbs last fall from Easy to Grow Bulbs. I was worried about their size and maturity, though, because EtGB's prices were much lower than other stores that I had shopped. I had read that camassia took several years to bloom, and I wondered if EtGB was selling younger bulbs than the competitors, which allowed them to sell the bulbs cheaper. The bulbs arrived OK, and I planted them. Cynical me, I did not expect flowers this year, but in the spring, their bed was covered in beautiful purple native bulb flowers. It's a nice surprise when you save a lot of money and get good quality, too. |
