Comments regarding Paradise Garden

I ordered Daylilies last year, and was impressed with how large they were. This Spring, they are coming up beautifully. I was so impressed, I ordered two varieties of Hosta from them. I was amazed at the huge variety they have. The hostas arrived in great condition-each had at least ten leaves, already, and a strong root system. They are thriving after only three days in the garden. I am still waiting for my order of clematis, which are due in a week.

I ordered a couple of different plants from Paradise Garden. Everything arrived quickly and in great condition. All plants did great except two Blue Angel Hosta, they quickly died. I e-mailed Paradise Garden to ask what I did wrong with the Hosta's. They immediately sent a replacements. I recived two Blue Angel Hosta plants within days. I can't ask for more. Purchased 'Stained Glass' hosta. I received my order, plus someone else's. When I called and spoke to Ken, he was already aware of the problem. Very pleasant, very professional and quick to fix order. I love my 'Stained Glass' from Paradise! I would/will do business with them again. Cool bonus plants, too!

A few months ago I ordered a hibiscus, a heuchera and a variegated grass. There was a little confusion over the shipping but I sent an email and someone named David responded politely and in a timely manner, and solved the problem. I loved the plants. They were healthy and large, much, much larger than what I received from other companies, didn't need any babying and were ready for transplant. They are expensive, and I probably won't order a great number of plants because of this, but I wish other companies would take note and realize alot of people would much rather pay a few extra dollars initially to get quality plants rather than paying bargain basement prices for sickly sticks that won't live 2 weeks. My plants from Paradise Garden are beautiful and I have no doubt they will survive the winter and I'll be able to enjoy them for years to come.

I have just recieved an order of daylilies and hostas from paradise gardens. I would just like to take a moment to thank them for the wonderful plants that I recieved. The plants looked healthy and had big clusters and root systems not like other plants that I have ordered. As an owner of a small business, I understand that sometimes it may take a few days to get answers to questions but that does not mean that I am not I am not important. I appreciate the time it takes to get the job done.

I've dealt with paradise gardens over a couple of years. I've found them friendly and helpful. I love my peonies . No blooms on the ones planted this past fall but they look healthy and happy so I am sure they will bloom for me next spring. I will order again.

Last year I placed an order and was very pleased with the prompt arrival of the daylilies. This year I placed another order and received it yesterday. I am amazed at the size of the daylilies. I love the Little Zingers you sent as a bonus last year and cannot wait to see how the Lilting Belle will perform for me. (another bonus) I am going to place another order as soon as I make up my mind as to which ones I can't live without. I love your catalogs.

I ordered a clematis that came today. I am very impressed! It is good sized, healthy and came through the mail with no problem whatsoever. Not an easy feat in this June Texas heat!

Paradise Garden's Hostas are beyond belief!!!! They are gigantic! They were sent bare-rooted and wrapped in wet newspaper with Saran Wrap over that! I am in awe!!!! The choises are immense!

Today I received my first order of daylilies from ParadiseGarden.com. I'm very impressed. Huge divisions, healthy and well prepared, packed up securely, and they even sent a surprise -- a bonus plant, and one that is just lovely. I'm extremely happy with the experience, and look eagerly forward to seeing my daylilies in bloom. I'll definitely shop with ParadiseGarden again.

I am totally impressed with the customer service I received. I placed an order in 2004 including some Dwarf Lily bulbs. The bulbs did nothing! So early this year, I emailed & asked if I should wait to see if they might come up this year. They said, "No," and immediately shipped 2 new bulbs. I received those. Shortly after, the 2004 bulbs popped up and I will get to see them in bloom this year too. So, I got 4 for the price of 2. Thanks Paradise Gardens for your generousity and quick response to make me a happy customer.

I received 3 pulmonaria plants several weeks ago. I consider these as the BEST quality plants I have received from all online stores EVER. [and I order quite a bit online]. The plants were healthy, packaged very well and received without a leaf being broken! They are thriving outdoors and I am so pleased. They will be my online plant store from this point forward. In my opinion you can't go wrong buying from Paradise Gardens! A+++

Ordered a Lilacina Hydrangea and was sent a different type instead. Company wasted no time in correcting error and was sincerely apologetic for the mix-up. Kudos to them for great customer service and correcting so quickly. I they have a new customer to add to their client list.

Plants arrived in good condition today. Always send extra plants and free plant. Have never been disappointed.

This week I received my first order of 4 plants which arrived in wonderful condition and are beautiful. These plants were the best packed of any I've every received from many different suppliers.

I had received an e-mail prior to shipment that one of the plants I had originally ordered was not available and I was able to chose a substitute. I received confirmation of the change in a few hours.

Will purchase again.

Yesterday, I received an impeccably gorgeous Hydrangea Alpenglow in a one gallon container. The packaging, the plant condition, and the plant roots ... absolutely perfect. I will definitely order from this company again and have e-mailed several of my friends recommending both the Paradise Garden and the Garden Watchdog sites.

I got the tree peonie plants today and they are in the soil. They look in good shape and show new growth. You substituted "Shin Shichifujin" ( which is a pink-red) and "May Treat". for the one I ordered(which I okayed) However, I would like to know the color and style of "May Treat" . I can not find it listed. Hope to see them in the spring. Also hope at that time, I can get "Night Glow on the Sacred Mountain" which I originally ordered. Helen

I am a new customer with Paradise and am please both with the service and the quality of the plant itself. I ordered a Chinese tree peony. It arrived at the right time for planting and I noted that my request for arrival time was sent to the grower (Oakes Daylilies) and was heeded. The plant was carefully packaged and the instructions were excellent. I would not hesitate to order again from Paradise.

I ordered several daylilies in August. They arrived promptly and were in wonderful shape. Each plant was what other mail order companies I have ordered daylilies from would have considered 3 or 4 plants! They all have new growth already. I also received a bonus of an extra daylily with my order. I will definitely do business with them again!

I am a novice gardener, even though I am a middle aged woman.This was my first experience in ordering from Paradise Gardens.There was some miscommunication regarding when my order was going to be shipped.However, the peonies arrived last Friday. They were moist and quite large. I had ordered peonie plants. The information included with the peonies were for peonies and tree peonies. There was no indication as to whether the shipment were the plants or tree peonies. In spite of these minor concerns, I happily planted them over the weekend.I will reach out to this website for guidance.

Having not ordered peonies before, it's hard to comment regarding size, etc. However, the root structures looked very healthy and were still moist upon arrival. I have been doing business with Oakes Daylilies (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!)/Paradise Garden for a few seasons now and will continue to do so.

Only one comment. It would be helpful to have the planting instructions on the plant's tag. With my order of 2 tree peonies, there were different planting instructions for Chinese and Japanese trees. No where on the tree tags did it indicate which was which. I went to the Paradise Garden website first and couldn't find out there. I ended up finding the info elsewhere online.

Otherwise, very pleased. Can't wait to see the peonies!

I ordered by tree peony in the early summer and have been looking forward to the fall when I knew it would arrive. It came 2 days ago--the plant was larger than any I have bought in stores. I soaked the roots the first night & planted it yesterday and am looking forward to a beautiful plant. The other information they provided about peonies in general was very helpful.

The irises I ordered arrived at just the time I asked for them to be delivered and I also got a bonus of 6 extras! I was quite pleased. Unfortunately, three of the bonus irises are not listed on their website, so I have no idea what color they are, and have no other information about them. I emailed the company requesting this information, but never received a reply. All in all, this first time order was a positive experience, but I do wish they had responded to my email.

I recently ordered daylilies, irises, a peony, and a hosta from Paradise Gardens. I was quite pleased with the experience. All of the plants were large and quite healthy. I was a little disappointed at a substitution made by Sutton's (the Iris supplier), but was ok with it when I saw how similar the sub was to the one I ordered. The bonus plants are a wonderful plus. Thank you Paradise, I look forward to doing business with you again. I do recommend that when Paradise or one of their suppliers makes a substitution, that they include some information on the plant and a picture. This makes it easier on the gardener.

I just received 3 Irises from Paradise Garden and they were extremely healthy, albeit a little small, but well packaged and with very good, clear instructions. This is my second time dealing with this company and I am very pleased and highly recommend them.

I ordered herbaceous peonies from Paradise Garden with their online system. No problems or hassles! I placed the order in June, and as they stated, it arrived in late September. All plants were healthy, great looking specimens. Each plant was tagged with identification. I would recommend this internet gardening website to order plants from. RELIABLE. GREAT QUALITY.

I was surprised to have ordered from Paradise Garden but received delivery from Oakes Daylilies - which I had also ordered from! Because I ordered daylilies for two separate beds, one primarily red and one primarily yellow, (one collection for Paradise, one collection from Oakes) , I was concerned about figuring out which plant went into which bed. The labels on the plants solved the problem because they gave not only the name, but the height and coloration of each. Problem solved! I received eight free daylilies, much to my delight.

This was our first time to order from Paradise Garden, and we were quite pleased with the plant size of the daylilies we ordered Also I was tickled with receiving a daylily for an ordering bonus. Some companies will send unrelated seeds or plants for their bonuses.I appreciated the common sense.

Received the plants yesterday and they look wonderful. Will plant them as soon as Hurricane Frances passes. The worm that was in the box is dead.
