Posted on May 18, 2016, updated May 18, 2016 Hostas had huge root balls. Leaves perfect. Clematis was in fine shape but wrong variety. Paradise Garden arranged for reorder so that it was shipped on a Monday to avoid a weekend stay in shipping. Beautiful plant arrived ASAP. They were extremely helpful.

I ordered three daylilies from Parardise Gardens, and they arrived timely and the fans were much larger than some other I received from another company. They included a bonus plant as well. I am very pleased with Paradise Gardens and will be ordering from them again. I am looking forward to late summer to see how the daylilies perform.

I ordered a bunch of shrubs, grasses, & flowers from this worthless company and I got sent Nothing But Dead crap. This mess is os worthless that Walmart wouldn't sell it. Everything come out of the box Dead & worthless. So puny you could hardly see the grasses. My god, I could have went to Home Depot , Walmart, Lowes and got better stuff for Less Money. Thought if you ordered direct from a Nirsery you would get Good, Quality Items. Paradise Gardens is in Tennessee, I am In Georgia. IF I wanted frozen crap from Indianna, I could have ordered it from that far North. My god, was paradise garden so lazy they farmed out to farmer clement in Indianna and he sent Crap. No More orders for this Lazy bunch.

My experience with Paradise Garden was great. I ordered a pennisetum Red Head and accidentally ordered two of them. They immediately corrected my error after I contacted them. The plant was shipped almost immediately and was large and very healthy. I would give them an A+ rating and will certainly order from them again.

I just totally love Paradise Garden. I recently ordered two lovely clematis from them and upon there arrival they were so big and healthy I was truly impressed. The plants are now in containers as that is what I wanted them for and am looking forward to one day seeing the gorgeous flowers they will produce. I also have ordered Daylilies from them and the plants are so big they actually produce flowers shortly after they are planted. I have a complete flower box filled with their lilies and anyone who sees them can't believe their size. Paradise Garden is the very best.

I recommend Paradise Garden highly! The plants as pictured in their catalog are a good representation as to how they will look in your garden, including color. Our household has ordered approximately 40 daylillies and several other types of plants over the last decade. All of them have come well packaged and in very good condition. The daylillies usually grow immediately after planting and growth has approximated 4 inches in the first week alone. The only plant ordered that was problematic in any respect was a daylilly that died soon after planting. It was replaced without question by Paradise Garden immediately following our notification to them. I particularly like the fact Paradise Garden normally has sent to us an extra daylilly free with a multi-daylilly order, many of which have had a value above the lower end of their daylilly prices.

I ordered the Bloomerang Lilac, which is difficult to find in a large size plant, from Paradise Garden. I placed the order on May 3rd and received it on May 12. When I unpacked the lilac, it didn't looked like it has been traveling in a box for a few days. The plant is very good size, leafy and with lots of flowers. Receiving a live and healthy plant is most important when buying live plants on line! Very well packaged. I was advised of my order being processed and received shipping notification with tracking. I will definitely buy from Paradise Garden again and would recommend it to others. Thank you!

I ordered one viburnum bush. I guess they do not grow their own stock but sent me a message it would be shipped from their supplier. The bush was quite large and packaged in a very sturdy box. It was actually in bloom when I opened the package.

I was researching clematis at Dave's Garden and found that Paradise Garden had what I was looking for and a good selection of everything else I might want in future. I ordered the 2yr, White Hudine and the plant came at proper shipping time and was very, very healthy. Also I was given , as a free gift, five daylillies which were also very healthy. I was shocked, these plants are so nice, I will probably order lots more in future. I really like this company and would recommend them to anyone looking for good selection of good size plants.

I wanted to try their Intersectional hybrid peonies. The website said they were no longer shipping these peonies for 2010, but I sent an email, and they allowed me to place an order. I do live in Middle TN, but could not believe it when the plants arrived the next day. Wonderful, wonderful, personal customer service, and I was very pleased with the peonies. I will tell all my friends, and do business with them again.

I finally narrowed my order down to a manageable size, they have so many great plants and flowers. I ordered two clematis that are both good sized and healthy. The Black Beauty Sambucus is really large and will fill in its place in the garden quickly. I am very excited about my first peonies. I ordered two and the roots are large and will hopefully make great and beatiful bushes in the years to come. I will order again.

I had been looking for a particular Clematis for several years, and found it in the Paradise Garden catalog. I called to order. The guy on the phone was very courteous, helpful and professional. The order arrived very quickly, and was packaged like a Mack truck. The Clematis was huge as promised, and I even received a bonus plant. My entire experience with Paradise Garden was absolutely the best, and I will be ordering from them again. No complaints at all.

I recently ordered two clematis plants, and I was very pleased to receive my order promptly. The website says their clematis are two-year old plants (more mature and better-developed than many other sources). The vines looked healthy and well-established, and a bonus plant (daylilies) was included. I will do business with Paradise Gardens again.

Agree with comments about all the navigation required to post for the first time. But will say it was worth it to tell others about my experience. I ordered a Chamaecyparis "Soft Serve" from Paradise Garden, choosing this business primarily b/c of its claim to send larger plants than other companies. No disappointment! A vibrant, two gallon plant was promised and received. The shrub was very healthy and appears to be nicely settled in my yard. Price was great considering the health and size of this plant! I will certainly keep Paradise Gardens in my favorites tab. Thanks!

This is my first experience with Paradise and it is certainly a good one. I ordered and received my plants within 8 days and the plants are healthy and larger than I expected. The cost and freight was a little high, but in the long run, I believe it will definitely be worth the extra cost. The packing was extra good and I will certainly order from Paradise again next Spring and look forward to it.

Received my plants within a week of ordering. The viburnum came packed nicely and looks nice. I wish they would have had some planting instructions in the box though. My second plant came and although smaller then what the local nursery was selling looks good and came packed with information. Also got a nice free ground cover as a bonus and a couple catalogs from oakes daylilies. Very nice and I am very pleased

I was pleasantly surprised at the care that was taken with the packaging. I had ordered two echinacea that was part of an order that included daylilies from Oakes Daylilies. I was told the echinacea would ship in May , quite a bit after the daylilies shipped. The echinacea came just as promised and were very healthy and packed well.

I am a daylily fanatic. For our new yard, I ordered a total of 50 daylilies -- 30 of them from Paradise Gardens. For a spot-on comparison, three orders from three different companies arrived on the same day. The daylilies from Paradise were almost three-times the size of those from the other companies, were much healthier, were better packaged, and have done incredibly well in my garden. A number of the daylilies from the other companies died. Each time I ordered daylilies from Paradise, they included a free daylily or two. In each case, those free daylilies were of the same caliber as the others AND were clearly selected to go with those I had ordered. Having had such a wonderful experience with Paradise daylilies, I ordered some shrubs from them as well. UPS messed up one delivery and delivered 2 of three shrubs I ordered. The 3rd was delivered 10 days later, and dead. One call to Paradise and another was shipped, and it arrived in great shape. I will continue dealing with Paradise Gardens whenever I can. I also hope to attend their annual daylily festival next year. Pink daylilies anyone ?

Ordered two different Buddleia's (butterfly bushes) for late summer/early fall planting on August 18 and received two very healthy plants today (8/27) that were very securely packed in the box they were delivered in. Just an outstanding company. The quality of the plants I received was nothing short of excellent. I knew the cost of each plant was a bit higher, but when the huge box came with the plants inside it, I first thought they had shipped me a tree of some sort, not ornamental grasses! The grasses were well over 2 feet tall and packed beautifully. They were alive as hell and I just finished planting them. I have ordered from over 9 different mail order plant nurseries, and I never had such healthy and mature plants as these were. I am scanning the catalog and will certainly order more. They may cost a little more, but oh the quality is worth it.

Having ordered last year from Oakes Daylilies, I expected to be as pleased with my order from Paradise Garden as I was with Oakes. Sadly, no. I think the problem may lie in fulfilling orders with suppliers, rather than directly from the company. Issue #1: The order came in two parts, one from a Tennessee supplier (I don't think the company itself--the return address wasn't in Coryton). In the first part, two of my plants, a gaura and a toad lily, arrived well packaged, with the cardboard insert to keep the planting medium in the pot taped all the way from top to bottom; no soil falling out of the pot, in other words, and the box had a sturdy cardboard rectangular tube to keep the plants from getting crushed. So far, so good. However, while the plants had been placed in 6" pots and were advertised as more mature, they were obviously transferred from starter pots into the larger pots recently. As I turned them over to decant them, the rootball of both was only a few inches wide and quite shallow, and the plants were small as well. They were healthy, and I figured it wouldn't be worth the hassle to try to get the promised larger plants. So far they are doing well. I was miffed, but not really irritated. But then, issue #2: The second batch of two plants, a cinerum geranium and a magnus coneflower, arrived about a week later. This time, they came from Michigan, so definitely from a supplier. The packaging was not great. The inserts to keep the soil in place had simply been rubber-banded around the pot on either side, and a considerable amount of soil (about a 1/4 total) of the soil in the geranium pot fell out before I got it out of the box. Also, the only thing to keep the box from getting smashed was two bamboo sticks in opposite corners of each pot. The geranium seems on the wilty side, but that may just be the nature of this variety. The coneflower had a head on a 15" or so stalk, but had been smushed into too short a box, so that its flower head was seriously pushed over and about 3" of it was headed horizontally. Despite being out of the box a week now, the stalk has not straightened out. The leaves look healthy. I don't know whether this is typical of the variety I got (Magnus) or not, since it's a new variety to me. Possibly the stalks on these tend toward droop. I can't say that I would want to order again from P.G., which makes me sad because they're not only in my zone (6b), but based within a few hours of Nashville, and so there's theoretically less of a carbon footprint made when ordering from them. But since they use far-flung suppliers, that's an illusory advantage, and the plant quality seems average at best.

I received my order in a timely manner, the plants were in excellent condition and are doing well after planting. My complaint is that they left out three items in my order. I have e-mailed them three times and they have not responded. I would have expected more from this company. I have placed several orders with the other company (Oakes Daylillies) and have never been disappointed. I expected this company to have the same integrity.

Placed a large (for me) order of tree peonies. More than half of them did not even survive their first growing season. Have contacted the company a total of eight times. They were only available to talk once and promised replacements. They never arrived. Numerous voicemails and e-mails have gone unanswered. I've given up on them out of frustration. I have never been dealt with in such an uncaring fashion in all my years of mail order gardening. I will never deal with them again. By the way they are owned by Oakes Daylilies.

We made an attempt to contact this customer regarding this matter using the D-mail system. We have not heard anything back from the customer. We are sorry that this customer had this experience and would love to talk to discuss making things right.
We also reviewed old emails and did customer searches based on tree peonies and have yet to be able to determine that actual name and contact info for the customer.

I ordered some daylilies as well as campanula 'white clips' from Paradise Garden this past September. They arrived well packaged and good sized. (They even sent a bonus daylily!) One of the daylilies (leprechauns wealth) even bloomed by October!! The items seemed to be on the pricier side (though it's worth it for the larger plants provided). My only real 'complaint' about my experience w/ Paradise Garden would be their shipping rates... different rates apply to different items ordered and end up adding up! But overall, I would definitely order from them again.

Over the past two years, I have ordered a variety of hostas and daylilly's from Paradise Garden and I could not be more pleased! The plants have always been quite large with very healthy root systems and they ship promptly and package everything well! Most daylillys blooomed the very first year (profusely!) and everything 'wintered' well - which is always a plus here in Iowa. They also include "bonus plants" and that's a pleasant surprise each time. It's a great company to deal with!
