Comments regarding Brent & Becky's Bulbs

I'm looking at all the loveliness in my garden that came last fall from Brent & Becky's. The daffodils are stunning and HUGE! Tulips, crocus and hyacinthoides have been very rewarding as well. I will say their perennials were very small and I had my doubts, but they were healthy and have really taken off this spring after fall planting. My garden is a spring beauty!

The canna stuttgart rhizome that I received was very large. Good communication also.

March 16 2012 I received an order of bulbs from this firm. They all arrived well packaged and clearly labeled, healthy, moist and firm. The lily bulbs were so stocky if they were bodybuilders they would win every competition they entered.
The lily bulbs were exhibition size. They were so impressive tears of joy came to my eyes.
I commend the person who communicates with customers via e mail. Their e mails are prompt and detailed. They notified me of the FedEx shipment and expected arrival date. They shipped on Tuesday and I received my package in Scott Louisiana on Friday. Add my name to your list of massively impressed customers.

I placed my first order this winter for pre-cooled daffodils. The order came quickly and the bulbs were very large. I just placed an order for summer bulbs and plants. Their prices and shipping charges are reasonable. I enjoyed reading their remedies for planting outside their zone. I even ordered Sprekelia Fomosissima, but I got cold feet and called customer service and picked a safer choice. As a new gardener I really appreciate the detailed descriptions as well as the pictures of plant combination suggestions.

Came in from the 100 degree heat and wanted to let everyone know how much I have enjoyed my oriental lilies that I purchased from Brent and Becky's. The lilies have been blooming for over a month in this heat. The order I placed last fall of spring bulbs was exceptional in size and quality. The daffodils put on the most beautiful display and the neighbors were all coming by and commenting on them. I have been purchasing from Brent and Becky's for years and even in this NC climate I have Olympic Flame tulips that have come back for 10+ years. It may just be the perfect location but they have paid for themselves over and over. This past year I started planting the species tulips because they seem to do well in this area. The customer service has always been prompt to let me know if there is a sold out item or other changes in my order. Thank you to all the staff at Brent and Becky's and I will be looking thru the catalog this afternoon as I plan what will be on my order for this fall.

Tulips planted last fall were a welcome addition to our spring garden - gorgeous blooms and some unusual varieties too. Spring order arrived promptly. All nice size bulbs and tubers growing nicely. Can't wait for the dahlia's to bloom. Would definitely order from them again.

Ordered elephant ears and canna intrigue from this company in Feb 2011. They came in the spring very well packaged and in good shape. I was very impressed with size of all but Borneo Giant. I have ordered elephant ears from several other companies the last 3 years and these were by far the best. The Black Magic, Illustris, Black Stem and Diamond Head look really impressive as of end of June. The borneo Giant is still coming along slow here in zone 5 but I think I will move it into more shade. I don't think it likes the full sun.The canna intrigue is also coming along slowly.

Just received my second order from them. Both orders had healthy, nice-sized bulbs. My lilies from the fall had gorgeous blooms and my amarcrinum are thriving. The plants I ordered this Spring are very
healthy. Highly recommend.

ALL-ROUND EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. My order was small and late in the season of 2010 but the bulbs (ten feather hyacinth) were large and healthy and neatly packaged. All of them are breaking out and looking promising. "Brent & Becky's" has the ring of a small "mom/pop" operation but it must be humongous. I did notice a slight cumbersomeness in their internal procedures but it had no real negative impact on the transaction.The nursery's minimal guarantee is a bit off-putting but on reflection is understandable and it is a big PLUS for the nursery that they are so blunt, precise, and up-front about their basic responsibilities. Thanks for the high quality of care and product.

Fast shipping and appears to be all healthy bulbs. I ordered 7 Dahlias and 10 Lilies from them and all of them have now leafed. Hope they do well and flower good. Wish me luck :)

I would have liked to have received my order a bit earlier but I waited until their suggested timeframe since they are the experts. Regardless - worth the wait. I had bought some caladiums from Walmart and what a huge difference. Huge! Yes, I realize it was Walmart but quite honestly the prices weren't hugely different. I've ordered a lot of bulbs over my lifetime and I'd say these are some of the best I've ever received. Plus they were packaged nicely and their planting instructions were extremely helpful - not just cookie-cutter instructions copied from elsewhere. I will order again.

This is one of the most amazing bulb dispensary's I have ever bought from. All of my bulbs have done marvelously!

Ordered 4 crinum bulbs in late February. Company promptly gave me a shipping date for two weeks later. I don't believe my credit card was charged until shipping was done. Received box on Saturday, shortly after receiving my notice earlier in week that bulbs had been shipped. I know that size of bulbs vary greatly depending on the crinum, but all four bulbs appear to be blooming size for these particular crinums. Company has great service and prices, but don't offer much variety in crinums. They have lots of other bulbs and I will be ordering cannas and elephant ears next since I am pleased with this company.

I love this company! Some years ago I ordered 100s of bulbs from Brent & Becky's for fall planting. It was an end of season sale & the prices were unbelievably low- my expectations were to receive the dregs of their leftover stock but for those amazing prices it was soooooo worth the risk! I was overjoyed with the quality of the bulbs I received. They were large & firm, not a dud in the bunch. They were well-packaged in large plastic crates. I ordered Thalia daffodils, crocus tommasinius, anemones, ipheon & others. The ground was nearly frozen when I planted it all. In the spring I was thrilled by the beauty of the blooming display! Sadly, I divorced these wonderful plants in 2006. I have since relocated to a new home of my own and am now looking forward to doing busines with Brent & Becky's again :)

I have ordered from B&B many times. Service has always been excellent. Bulbs are among the largest I have encountered locally or mail order. I also get what I order. Have used some other companies and ended up with orange asiatics coming up instead of pink etc. Just placed an order for fall bulbs. Things went well as usual.

My lily of the valley pips are starting to bloom and the blooms are plentiful. Easy to order, fast delivery after order, looking forward to ordering lilies.

Great company,very nice bulbs. They were very considerate of my needs of not using UPS for my rescue dogs who have issues with the driver in our area.

I ordered four times directly from Brent and Becky's Bulbs this year. The number of bulbs ordered was about 950 bulbs. Most of the orders where for spring blooming bulbs for 2007. The website, as well as the catalog, are precise, easy to use and their bulb selection is the most extensive I've seen in the industry for the U.S. gardener. Their prices are competitive and the shipping is very fair. Their fall sales are a terrific way to indulge and experiment with some of the more unusual items. It was hard to wait for the final mark down, but I received a good portion of what I selected and the size and condition of the bulbs was as good as it gets. I posted a picture of a clump of a Hippeastrum, 'supreme Garden' that I received this past week in the bulb forum as an example of a terrific bulb. It was incredibly generous. The lilies I planted from them last summer all did splendidly. Patti

Brent and Becky's is my first choice for bulbs. The bulbs are healthy and arrive early in the fall. They even ship the most tender bulbs ahead of the rest for immediate planting. Great selections, good instructions. I have ordered for a number of years.

I had been looking for the yellow daffodils with white trumpets. B & B had a nice selection of them. I already grow "pipit' so I know the photos are true to the actual colors of the plants when they bloom. The bulbs are large, healthy looking, and many are "doubles". The bags came with name tags, which are handy. The shipping was fast. I have ordered from them before, and will continue to do so.

Jay I clicked on the picture of the summer catalog and it brought me here. I actually wanted to find out if your still sold Alstromeria or if I had to find it somewhere else.

I have almost exclusively used Brent and Becky for my bulb gardening needs. I have quite the collection of rare indoor clivia and daylily and hope to get into some of their canna var. Im in the middle of an ongoing lesson in the horticulture of cannas. Will update when I finally get some blooming. This is a must have nursery for your bulb and rare blooming needs!

I have ordered bulbs from Brent and Beckys twice in the last few years and they have done very well. My latest aquisition was a order in May where I got two of their Amaryliss and planted them immediately. Worried a little because being in San Diego, I usually order them around Christmas and they usually bloom March, April, maybe May. So I wondered about planting them in June. Would they bloom? Well, right now I have the most gorgeous three huge blooming flowers, looking just beautiful and the second one, a white, has sent up a bloom stalk with about 4 buds on it, looking as if it's going to be as beautiful.

The two other bulbs I ordered at the same time have started showing and of course, I can't wait to see what they will be like. Very satisfied customer.

My mother, her neighbor, and I did a group order of narcissi, iris, and hyacinths and were quite pleased with the size and quality of our bulbs when they arrived.

Had a bad experience with another company so the order I placed was never delivered. Because of this I ordered dahlia bulbs very late and within a day or two my entire order shipped and I had them within a week of ordering. Also there was a sale going on so I got more bulbs than I ever have before and they are about 2 inches high and I just planted last weekend - so one week and they are already coming up. And my daughter got half my order cause I got so much more for my money. Very good experience - they confirm via email and also send the tracking number immediately once it ships. Bulbs very big. Will order again.

Ordered summer bulbs this past winter, they were delivered for spring planting at the right time for my zone They were perfectly packed the bulbs were big and very healthy ( Dahlias and lilies ). Loved the crate they came in . It is now June every single one has come up and is either blooming or is ready to bloom. I am very happy with my purchase Will be ordering my bulbs for next spring soon .

Wonderful all the way around. The order was taken with good customer service, the tubers and bulbs looked great and were packed with care and came in 2 days. I planted them ASAP and they rotted due to the weather and I explained this to Brent and Becky's Bulbs and DID NOT BLAME THEM at all and they sent replacements free of charge! How great! I am thrilled with this company! I wish I lived closer to them so I could work there! I am telling everyone I know how wonderful they are!

Wow, is about all I can say! My husband and I were driving and found this very unusual plant. We stopped to ask what it was and where they had gotten it. It was a "Sparkler" and they ordered it from Brent and Becky's Bulbs.

I ordered the sparkler and some tall garden Phlox and have been so pleased. Not only by the quality of the plants, but also by the detail of information that was provided. I can't wait until my "Sparklers" pop!

This was my first order from Brent & Becky's bulbs. My order consisted of gladiolus bulbs, canna tubers and 2 alstromeria plants. The plants had some of the best packing I've seen and the plants themselves are large and healthy. The bulbs and tubers all look large and fresh; I'm so pleased with this order. Also loved that the plants were packed with shredded newspaper that can go into my compost bin. Great job! Will definitely order again.

WOW! The assortment of bulbs they carry is amazing! This is my second order, and again the order arrived in a timely manner, with huge, solid bulbs, well-packed. B&B's was the only place I could find El-Cid Tulip, and am planning to give this as a gift to a friend at Christmas. Their prices, espcially with the sales, are very, very good. I will not hestitate to order from them again, as each time I have been pleased with communication, size and health of the bulbs. Thanks B&B for being a solid resource for those of us looking for something a bit off the beaten track!
