Comments regarding Brent & Becky's Bulbs

I have ordered from them several times (most recently in September 2000) and in each instance the service was excellent as was the quality of the bulbs. Their sales make some of the choicest items available even more cheaply. Orders arrive within a few days, are well packaged, and even have identifying plastic tags which are such a help when I'm in too much of a hurry to prepare a proper label. Their website is especially nice since pictures of many if not all the bulbs are available. Colors seem to be quite accurate too.

I ordered from them several times and was very satisfied with their service, quality and prices. They run sales (I caught lilies for 75% off last spring) that make it even sweeter. I just wish they sold lilies in the fall.

I am planning on ordering from them this year. I emailed back and forth with them last year and was impressed with their knowledge and willingness to communicate. They appear to have some unusual varieties in their catalog - which was appealing.

I ordered 200 bulbs from them in late summer 1999, 100 mixed daffodils and 100 mixed perennial tulips. They arrived in November (appropriate for my zone) and I planted them all out soon after they arrived. Somehow, 268 plants came up! That seems like quite a lot of extras to me. Every one is blooming now or has buds. Additionally, I ordered 200 tête-à-tête miniature daffodils in late November; they sat in my house for 2 weeks before I planted them, and every one had sprouted by the time I planted them December 15th of an extremely wet winter. I gave half of them to my mother, who neglected hers even further, planting them AFTER CHRISTMAS. Well, every bulb sprouted and bloomed in both my garden and my mother's.For the person who wrote about their non-responsiveness to email in the fall: their site was offline for about a week due to the hurricane, and all their mail spooled into the bit bucket as a result. I phoned them to let them know the site was down, and they explained the situation to me.I am planning to place another LARGE order with Brent and Becky in Fall 2000. They seem to me an extremely reputable company, and I am glad to give my business to them.

The bulbs I got from Brent and Becky's bulbs were marvelous, healthy and huge. I got a postcard a few weeks before shipment to remind me to prepare the soil! That was just so thoughtful! They will be getting most of my bulb business from now on.

If only I could order bulbs as Christmas gifts! I couldn't resist ordering some of my favorite Thalia daffodils and Fritillaria persica at B&B's 50% off end of season sale. These are not bulbs that are commonly on sale. I ordered Tuesday morning and -this must be a fluke- they were on my doorstep Wednesday evening. Thank you B&Bs and UPS. Of course the bulbs are excellent quality and in perfect condition for planting.

I was a satisfied customer of the Daffodil Mart, and now I'm a happy customer of Brent and Becky's Bulbs. My order this spring was shipped promptly, and the bulbs looked very good. Like the Daffodil Mart, Brent and Becky's has wonderful prices, especially on large quantities. They do have a minimum order -- $25 for spring shipment. Their web site has pictures of the bulbs they sell.

I purchased from them for the first time this year. The catalogue is great, but the website is wonderful with all of the photos. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is fantastic. They have my business without hesitation from now on.
