Comments regarding Colorblends (Schipper & Co. USA)

Really quick service -- order received in three days. Great since planting season is in full swing. Prices are very competetive although I think you have to order at least $50 worth. Bulbs were nice size and well packaged. I'll definately keep this on my list of places to buy.

I just received my order yesterday from Colorblends. The order was filled in a timely and courteous manner. The bulbs I received are large and well-formed--much better than the bulbs I have planted in the past from other companies. I am looking forward to Spring 2004 as I am sure my front garden beds will be filled with beautiful tulips, daffodils etc. In fact--I am getting my Christmas gift list together and will purchase Amaryillis and paperwhite bulbs from this company--because from the description--I am sure everyone will be pleased with their winter blooming gifts. The prices were very good for the type of bulbs I received along with excellent customer service. It is great to work with a family business with good character and values.

I just received my shipment of Colorblends bulbs and they are all healthy in appearance and quite large. When I first found them when searching the web I at first couldn't believe the low prices, especially when compared to other suppliers. The prices are wholesale and you have to buy in bulk (I bought from 5 - 100 because I'm buying for my home). It's hard to believe that I paid so little for such high quality bulbs. I was also pleasantly surprised to open the box and find a wooden painted tulip that had been included (and even called the company to tell them how pleased I was with the packaging and product!) I highly recommend them and I look forward to Spring!

We have ordered bulbs from Colorblends for the past 2 years. The bulbs always arrive exactly on time, spectacularly fresh and packed in wonderful re-useable plastic crates. The color combinations and the flowers themselves are absolute traffic stoppers. We have people drive off the highway and up to our home to comment on the display. When you phone, you speak to the principal of the firm and they do everything they can to ensure that you are a satisfied customer.

I purchased about 300 pink and burgandy darwin tulip bulbs in the Fall of 2002. They were delivered in October, as requested. The tulips bloomed Spring 2003 and are absolutely spectacular. Neighbors came to my home to ask about the tulips. Sadly, a hail storm cut most of them down. But I will order my tulip bulbs from Colorblends again this year. The bulbs are huge, of superior quality, and excellent prices.

Just received shipment of this year's tulip bulb order---they are very large and at a better price than any competitor I found.Last year's order resulted in the best tulip display I have ever had. All bulbs produced; the flowers were true to color and height and all varieties bloomed at the same time. Order-taker was courteous and helpful.

I just recieved my bulbs yesterday and think they are fantastic. The bulbs are much bigger & look healthier than the ones in my local garden center. I couldn't believe how great the prices were for tulip & daffodil bulbs. The customer representitive I spoke with was very polite & curtious. Best of all, I recieved my bulbs exactly when they said they would be here ( middle of October). I am very pleased with my order & am looking forward to the spring.

I ordered my bulbs by phone. I recieved courteous,prompt service. The bulbs arrived in great condition exactly when they were supposed to. They look big and heatlhy and I can hardly wait til next spring. I do not consider myself a wholesale buyer, yet I paid wholesale prices for these bulbs. I thank ColorBlends for making my first tulip bulb buying experience so easy.

I ordered two years in a row from Colorblends. Excellent quality, long-blooming, hardy tulips. Minimum order is $50.

I ordered 200 bulbs of the Out of the Blue collection from Colorblends. I planted about 140 in front of my house; all but about 7 came up this spring and have made large, vigorous plants and beautiful blooms. I planted the 60 leftover bulbs in January. They had sat in the box so long most had started to sprout. Over 2/3 still came up in the spring. I was very pleased with the quality of the bulbs. I compared the prices to Van Engelen's wholesale bulbs and found they were essentially the same. I plan to place another order with Colorblends this fall.

I think this site is very interesting and wanted to add my experiences. I ordered bulbs from a few companies last year, but the best results were the bulbs from the Colorblends catalog by Schipper. I bought their collection called 'Stop the Car' and everyone did to ask me where I had founds such beautiful bulbs. I ordered again from them this year and they arrived exactly when promised and all the bulbs were very large, well formed and healthy. I also researched the web and many other catalogs and found that if you want to purchase in the quantities I do (quantities of 100), Schipper is by far the best value. I can't wait 'til spring!

I had a customer that waited until the 11th hour to finally decide that she wanted tulips in her newly installed landscape. Every supplier I had used before was unable to help me. I found Colorblends on the Internet, and Tim was able to come to my rescue. I was prepared to be thankful for anything that I could get, but was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality, and size of the bulbs I received. This spring the customer's tulip display was outstanding and she thinks I am a genius for the great color mixes that she saw! This year I will go to Colorblends first for all my clients needs.
