from Plano, TX (Zone 8b) Posted on February 7, 2012, updated March 23, 2023 Great experience! I purchased around 12 different plants of different types and all arrived nice sized, healthy and fast! They were also packaged quite well and prices were reasonable. I will definitely order from them again. Thanks Fred! On March 23rd, 2023, reeve1 added the following: Always a pleasure doing business with Fred Pepper. He has some rare and unusual plants and prices are very fair. Even packing is done to a perfection. Very highly recommended!

from Thurmond, NC I ordered 4 items from this place, chose 3 day shipping, since these were gifts I needed them quickly, I have tried contacting this company multiple times to no avail! I get that it's Spring, but they didn't bother to list any warnings about delays on their site. If they had I wouldn't have ordered from them as I needed it quickly. Now I have no gifts, no time to find new gifts, & have to show up empty handed! I was hesitant to order from them but they were the only place at the time that I found these plants for sale. So disappointed.

from Chicago, IL Accents has a selection of plants that are rarely if ever seen in mail order. Ordering process was very easy. All prices are reasonable especially considering the rare availability of many species. Plants received were not the most beautiful, but this is mail order and many plants don't look their best in dark boxes for over a week. I did my research to know plant care for each item, so I was not concerned about condition. I did not receive the Stamps.com shipping notification, but email questions are answered quickly. Good customer service experience. Overall a very good plant mail order experience! Looking forward to see what new plants are added seasonally!

from Phoenix, AZ I ordered SWEET WOODRUFF,MEADOW RUE, SOUTHERNWOOD (Artemisia abrotanum) and a succulent called "Succulent Mint": Plectranthus socotranus (Mint of Socotra) . Pepper's (I found them under website AccentsforHomeandGarden.com, courtesy link from Dave's Garden) for my rare/renaissance herb garden. They arrived via FedEx in a parcel, they were all potted in pots with soil - all very dry! But, all ALIVE and rather good-sized plants. Pepper's/AccentsforHome... was the only nursery that had the Southernwood, or even the Vick's plant (the succulent) for sale. I could not find a nursery that had any in stock, let alone carried it at all. I bookmarked their website. I have Wandering Jew houseplant in my Wish List on their site, that will be on my next purchase. All of the plants I got from them are still doing very well! Surprised because I am in a terrible area for plants (Arizona).

from Columbia, MO (Zone 6a) I have noticed the unusual plants at reasonable prices listed at this nursery for some time. I never ordered due to some of the negative reviews. I took the plunge this spring. I placed an order for 10 plants this spring. They arrived on time and looked good. they were in small pots, but the root system was strong on most of them, and fine on the others. There were others I wanted to order initially, but did not. So I placed a second order. Same results again. Do not understand the poor reviews, as my plants were better than most of the others I have received from other mail order nurseries.

from Bellaire, TX Oh, please don't order from this co. Ordered Jan18,2020 - still haven't received. I have ordered before and made allowances for spring, but this was winter. Made excuses saying it was too cold to mail. Ok, I waited. The weather is getting warm here and I need to now get plants in the ground. Emailed again, (no mailing now, again) Told them to cancel order. I'm DONE !!

from Cincinnati, OH (Zone 6a) I've been experimenting with many different nurseries this Spring and have ordered a lot of plants from a lot of places. Accents for the Home and Garden sent beautiful plants! I am thrilled with my order and I got quite a few, not so easy to find, plants. Two weeks later, they are all thriving and ready to go into permanent pots. I will absolutely buy from them again! Thank you!!!

from Fallbrook, CA I was quite pleased with the plants I recently received from Accents -Pepper's Greenhouses. The prices were very reasonable and in most cases less expensive than their competitors. Of the 6 plants I ordered all of them were healthy and most of them MUCH larger than I anticipated. This was my first order with them but definitely won't be my last. A very happy customer!

from Seattle, WA I wanted to buy a houseplant that is uncommon in the US. (Kangaroo vine) I used davesgarden to find out this company sold them. I bought 1 kangaroo vine plant, and 2 kinds of wandering jew. I received healthy plants, the plants were as described. I'm happy with this nursery, they seem like good people.

from Boston, MA (Zone 5b) Dead stick company. Advertised as coming in 3" pots... my variegated triangle ficus was a recently transplanted plug about 1" wide root ball. It arrived leafless and dead. The rainbow wandering Jew was two dying sprigs. The owner responded to me email saying it's normal and he basically didn't care. He would not respond to follow up emails. I'm an experienced gardener and I rarely use mail order for live plants, knowing they will be small and have a tough time in transport. But these were just garbage.

from Seattle, WA Neutral/Negative experience with my first order from Pepper's-I chose to rate negative because I probably will not order again and because I have had better experiences with other mail order greenhouses. I ordered 8 different uncommon/fairly easy-care houseplants plants- 2 peperomia, 3 philodendron, 1 rhipsalis ramulosa, 1 kalanchoe beauverdii, and 1 oxalis. About half of the plants I ordered were not in stock, which I expected and didn't mind, but I was billed for the shipping charges I would have paid for the full order rather than the one I received. Given the high shipping/packing charges (30 dollars on a 25 dollar plant order), I was disappointed with the packing job and the resulting damage to some of the plants in shipping. The plants were packed in a very narrow box with two rubber bands placed vertically around the 4" plastic pots to compress them, and then wrapped in newspaper. The rubber bands were very tight, crushing the pots almost flat and severing stems/roots on 2/4 plants. There was no additional packing material/padding added in either box, so it was half smashed by the time I received it. The soil in 3/5 pots was extremely soggy and the swiss cheese philo had massive leaf damage from the wetness and mealy bug in a few spots (so I'm not sure if it will survive the pruning I did). On the positive end, two plants arrived in great shape (peperomia and rhipsalis) and were a good size for the price (at least before the high shipping costs). My order arrived a lot sooner than I was expecting given other reviews here, but was still fairly slow in comparison to other online vendors (and I didn't know what I was going to get until the package arrived at my doorstep--not much communication). Overall, unless you need a plant that can't be found anywhere else, I wouldn't recommend

from Huntsville, AL Wow! This company is egregious. Ordered plants May 10, 2018. Contacted Pepper's House on June 17, 2018 asking for status. Email back to me: "They are too small to ship right now and need a few weeks. I can cancel the order if you would like. Thanks Fred" My response: "Please cancel. Thanks for the quick reply." I received plants on July 25th and PayPal was charged. Since then, I've emailed with no reply. I wanted the plants but you don't order plants online to receive over 2 months later (and in the meantime cancelling the order WAY before them sending). I'm looking for a full refund. If not, I'll dispute the charges from PayPal (I have email evidence of cancelling the order) and will report to BBB. Horrible customer service. Uncool!

from Wichita, KS Posted on June 12, 2018, updated June 23, 2018 Ordered 5/18/2018 and still have not received items. The do respond within a day to emails. They said they are on backorder and should send mid June. I am about to cancel and get my money back from paypal. Will never order from them again. On June 23rd, 2018, Sweethrtcc added the following: After posting a negative review about them on their web page they sent me an email on 6/19/2018 saying they were refunding my money and cancelling my order. I really wanted the plants I ordered but they never had them and did not find that out until after I ordered. Finally today 06/23/2018 I did get my refund. I guess I will have to find my plants from a reliable source instead of from Peppers (Accents for home and garden). Don't waste your money or time using this place.

from Norfolk, VA Posted on June 23, 2018, updated June 23, 2018 This is the worst place to buy plants, not because of price or quality of plants but because of a lack of communication. I ordered plants in March and in May I emailed them for the first time. They said I would get them by the end of May...nope...kept emailing them, four times, and the last time was yesterday and today I get an email that said they sent them June 2nd and that I received them. Well, gee, maybe if they had sent a shipping confirmation I could have done something about not receiving them! As it is now, the USPS site is down and I cannot check for myself. I'm not letting this go and will get my money back somehow. On June 23rd, 2018, Auryla added the following: More info on the awful company: I looked again at the USPS site, and lo and behold it said "Label not yet created" and here some idiot from the company said it was delivered on 6/2.....unbelievable

from Miami, FL They took two weeks to actually ship the order. They didn't even ship one of my plants and I only found out when I opened the package. They could've sent an email in advance to let me know that they won't be able to ship it. The other plant they sent me was incredibly root bound and had almost no soil in the roots. A terrible experience all around.

from Hilton Head Island, SC Didn't receive mail order plant after 2 weeks. Didn't realize their shipping times were so slow, so emailed asking to cancel order. Seller agreed to refund money. Waited 5 days for refund and never got it. Seller ignored additional emails requesting status. Finally had to escalate claim thru paypal to get promised refund.

They have great varieties, so many to choose from..Plants arrive in perfect condition and most are large. Shipping is quick..Toni Tippin On May 21st, 2006, Toni05 added the following: Placed another order with Accents and again was more than satisfied. Plants arrived quick and in excellent condition..And prices are unbelieveable.. On August 31st, 2006, Toni05 added the following: Received 2 plants, the variegated Purple Passion and a Variegated String of hearts..Both came in good condition..I was expecting the STring of Hearts to be a bit larger, but othwerwise the plants are in excellent condition.. On June 14th, 2007, Toni05 added the following: Received 2 Ruby Red Peperomias and a Maid of Orleans.. Pep's are between 9-10" tall, and MOO stands at least 9". MOO has several buds and flowers. Plants are well-packaged..Pots are first taped, then wrapped with newspaper. Each plant set snuggly inside a mailing box. Accents, Keep up the great work.. On July 28th, 2007, Toni05 added the following: Ordered 3 more plants from Accents, Watermelon Begonia, 10", Temple Bells, 11", Cissus discolor, 9" and once again they arrived in sensational condition.. They arrived even faster than usual, and well-packaged. Foliage was in tact, in other words, no broken stems or leaves..Everytime I visit Accent's website, I see another plant I want..And prices are exceptional, especially for the sizes. Glad to do business w/this nursery... On September 26th, 2007, Toni05 added the following: Received my last plant order before winter, today. Once again, after opening the package from Accents/Peppers, I was more than pleased. 5 healthy, good-sized plants.. Plants arrived promplty and well-packaged. For those of you who shop at Accents, or browse their Online Catalog, read description carefully, even if it means opening individually. Accents/Peppers uses common names some may be unfamilar with. So check the botanical name by clicking on each plant. For instance, while browsing through their catalog, I found a plant labeled Tapistry Plant..I had no idea what it was so I clicked on the plant, and found out it was a Begonia discolor. I bought that guy fast. LOL. Shipping was fast, too. Thanks Accents..Toni On October 24th, 2007, Toni05 added the following: I know I said I wouldn't chance ordering due to the weather, but decided to browse Accent/Peppers site, (one more time) and ended up pressing the Buy Now button 7 times..LOL Included in my order were 2 hoyas,..they are fantastic and much larger than I expected. My order arrived promptly..I admit, sometimes there is a short delay, but considering the huge orders Accent's ships during growing season, it's understandable. IMO, that goes to show the number of people who enjoy Accent's plants and supplies, and like myself, place multiple orders. I had a question for Mr. Pepper regarding a plant so I sent him an email. He replied the following day. I also like the fact Accent sells those 'hard to locate plants,' at reasonable prices. Compare prices to other nurseries and you'll see what I mean. On April 1st, 2008, Toni05 added the following: Placed my first order of the year now that temps warmed up...Since Accents/Peppers updated their site, they added a good number of new varieties; many rare, hard to find specimens.. Accents is one place that ships healthy, good-sized, reasonaly priced plants.. I had a few questions, emailed Fred, in which he replied the same day..Even though spring is officially here, a time nurseries are busy, (taking orders, packaging, and shipping) he responded promptly. Plants I ordered are Dragon Fruit, Gold Strawberry Begonia, Tri-colored Strawberry Begonia, Cinnamon Plant, Flowering Jade, Starfish Pagoda, Spurge, and Medinilla..Each plant is good side, well-rooted, healthy leaves. Packaging was carefully done..Shipping fast. Eventually, I'd like to order one of each plant...don't have the option, due to money and space..LOL. In my opinion, Accents is one of the best online nurseries..of course there's others, (I buy from a few nurseries) but from 1-10, 10 being the best, I give them !0+.. Keep up the good work, Thanks, Toni On April 21st, 2008, Toni05 added the following: Received 4 new plants today. Again, I'm astonished how beautiful they are..all are good sized: Variegated Fatshedera, Variegated German Ivy, Red Hot Hibiscus (tripple gorgeous) and Pseuderanthemum. Plants arrived quick, not long after ordering, well-packaged. I also receive a shipping notice, via email, the day plants are shipped. Accents/Peppers has a great selection of plants, at reasonable prices. I enjoy looking over their website, ogling plants, (wish I had one of each, lol) Toni On August 18th, 2008, Toni05 added the following: Received 5 gorgeous Episcias today. All are in excellent condition as usual. Plants are full-sized, each bearing 20, plus leaves. After inspection, there is no sign of insects. Each plant is taped and wrapped with newspaper, each pot has an attached label...I prefer pre-attached labels to inserted tags that can fall out of pot. Plants arrived 5 days after order was placed. That was fast... I would definately recommend Accents/Peppers to friends and those who enjoy plants..Toni On August 18th, 2008, Toni05 added the following: Received 5 gorgeous Episcias today. Flowering Jade, Variegated Jade and Flaming Fire Jade. Plants are compact, large, and well-established. Labels naming plants are taped to pot..both botanical and common names. Well-packaged. Plants arrived quick, not long after ordering. Toni On November 3rd, 2008, Toni05 added the following: Got 4 more plants from Accents, 'probably' the last order until next spring. It's going to be tough waiting out a long winter. Accents has so many wonderful varieties to choose. This order consisted of: Trunk of Elephant, Jelly Bean, Euphorbia Round Stem and Velvet or Elephant Ear. All are good sizes, and well-packaged..like usual Shipping arrived promptly. I love Accents/Peppers..Toni On March 27th, 2009, Toni05 added the following: Received seven beautiful Geraniums. Different varieties, scented, fancy leaf and rare specimens. Geraniums are huge! Many have buds and/or flowers. Each plant was individually wrapped, and well-packaged. Shipping was sent according to temperature which was quite cold until the last week. Perfect timing upon arrival. Fred must have ESP. lol. Toni On June 28th, 2009, Toni05 added the following: In April, I ordered, Variegated String of Buttons, Variegated Lipstick, Emerald Ripple, Pink Emerald Ripple, Peperomia 'prayer,' Variegated Purple Passion, Maid of Orleans, Variegated Columnea, and Variegated German Ivy. All plants arrived in perfect health, pest-free, and good-size. Shipping was prompt. Accents/Peppers sends the healthiest of plants, well-packed, and ships ASAP. Toni On June 28th, 2009, Toni05 added the following: In May I ordered a Tree Ivy, Variegated Purple Heart, Variegated Jacobs Ladder, and Zig-Zag Jacobs Ladder. All plants are healthy and good-sized. Plants are packaged securely so plants don't slip out of their containers. Toni On June 28th, 2009, Toni05 added the following: My June order consisted of, Begonia 'Little Brother', Wandering Jew, 'quadricolor', Senecio 'String of Bananas,' Rhipsalis, Seaweed/Snowdrop Cactus, Gynura 'Purple Velvet,' Wandering Jew 'rainbow', and Smithiantha 'Temple Bells.' I also ordered a few Panterra Bowls, which work great for plants that need shallow containers. They also make great dish gardens. I planted Adeniums 'Desert Roses,' in my bowls. They're doing great. Shipping was super-fast, and plants well-packed. All arrived healthy and vibrant. Fred answers emails quickly. If something needs resolving, he takes care of it, ASAP. Toni On August 23rd, 2009, Toni05 added the following: Received 8-21-09: Pomegranate, Xerosicyos, and six Hoyas..All healthy, large in size, vibrantly colored: both greens and variegated. Each plant individually taped around newspaper. Box has two sections, upper and lower compartments with enough room plants are snuggly, yet roomy. Newspaper prevents stems/leaves from breaking. Accents has numerous plants from tropicals to native perrenials. I love Peppers/Accents.. On September 22nd, 2009, Toni05 added the following: Received my order today, 9-21-09, probably the last of the year, now that winter's coming. Plants are all healthy, nice size and well-packed. Shipping was super-fast. Toni On March 26th, 2010, Toni05 added the following: Ordered 18 plants March 20, 2010..the shipment arrived today, March 26, 2010. Considering the 20th fell on a Saturday and the order was placed at night, I deem shipping very quick. One plant was out of stock, my error..I was notified promptly by email. Plant and shipping chargrs were immediately refunded. Plants arrived well-packed. It actually took some work removiing cardboard and tape..But I prefer safely tucked plants than those tossed in a box, swaying around during shiping. Plants are stable, no broken stems. Considering the time of year, plants are good-sized, healthy, and insect-free, 'I always inspect new plants,' despite nursery or big box stores.' Nary a bug. Accents has great varieties. Some worth a lot more than what they charge. This order consisted of various succulents, Begonias, and other tropicals. Too many to name. lol. I love them!! I read feedback and am honestly shocked. It's not my place to debate whether or not someone had a problem, but in all the years I've shopped at Accents, I hadn't any issues..No complaints. One person mentioned centipedes. I've never found any insects in Accent plants, but I have with other nurseries..The other day I ordered a plant on Ebay...I removed the plant, placed in the sink..Before walking away, I noticed movement..Out came a 4"+ centipede. I fear insects, and believe me, I panicked..I'm even afraid to kill them, especially monster size..My point is, when we order plants from different states, it's not unusual for a spider, etc to crawl in the soil. I do a LOT of ordering, so believe me, I'm aware. Last year, a King Moth 'pod' hitch-hiked from Fl. King Moths are not indigenous to IL. I've also spotted lizards. One man claimed he received a scorpian..lol Pepper's plants are reasonably priced..especially for the sizes. Compare to other nurseries. If you shop for plants as often as I do, you'll understand where I'm coming from. BTW, I am not affiliated with Peppers in any way, shape or form. What I am is a Satisfied Customer who is very happy I found such a wonderful place to purchase plants. Have a great day..Toni On March 26th, 2010, Toni05 added the following: For the record...I wanted to add, I'm not saying Accents/Peppers is the only nursery I order from, or the only nursery that sells beautiful, healthy plants..On the contrary. There are a good number of nurseries that sell lovely greens, BUT, there are a good number of nurseries that ship such horrid plants, if it wasn't for the tag, they'd be unidentifyable. Thank you.. On May 2nd, 2010, Toni05 added the following: Received seven more plants on April 23, 2010. Begonias, Hoyas, Euphorbias, and a beautiful Pomegranate. Plants are potted in 4" containers, each pot securely wrapped and taped, and arrived less than a week after order. Thanks again. Toni PS. Sorry for feedback delay. A great friend passed away. On August 29th, 2010, Toni05 added the following: While browsing through Accent's/Peppers website, I discovered new plants have been added. Of course, being a plant lover, and always thrilled with Accent's plants, I placed another order. My order consisted of: Mini Watermelon Peperomia, Fish Tail Hoya, Sweetheart Hoya, Autograph Tree, Chandelier MOT's, Gerald's Spurge, 'blooming, peach flowers. 'Plant is huge,' Copper Spoon, Corderoy Jade, Spearhead Senecio, Kalanchoe 'Fang,' A beautiful, Variegated E. Crown of Thorns, and Pineapple Guava. All are lovely, some quite large, the remaining, more than average size. Most nurseries would charge 20.00 or more for some of the above, mentioned plants. Plants were well-packaged. No soil spills, period. Order arrived less than a week. I'm having surgery Tues morning, so thankful this large order arrived when it did. Thanks so much, Accent's. Toni On September 15th, 2010, Toni05 added the following: Ordered 3 more plants from Accents..Variegated Stephonotis, 'absolutely stunning,' Senecio 'Rubber Ivy,' 'quite colorful, and a Triangle Fig..'little figs growing.' Each plant is potted in 4" containers, which are individually wrapped for shipping. My order arrived, Super Fast. Another positive: Each container has attached sheet of paper, with type-written print. Eg. 'Botanical and Common name,' and 'care instructions.' I find names and care sheets mandatory. Considering I order from 'X' amount of nurseries, most do not include name of plants, let alone information, or when they do, the nursery inserts a hand-written, pen/pencil tag in soil. Eventually ink/lead washes off or smears. Toni On April 10th, 2011, Toni05 added the following: Placed first order in April, 2011 from Accents. Got some true beautys. Hoya 'Imperalis,' 'Carnosa' Var, amd 'Hindu Rope' Variegata. Anthurium 'Tweed,' a rare Anthurium. Peperomias: 'Watermelon,' 'Belly Button' and 'Pink Ripple.' Stephanotis Variegata, and Geranium 'Wilhelm.' Each plant comes in a 4" pot, and well-packaged. Because of cold temperatures, Fred held my shipment so plants wouldn't freeze on their long journey. He also kept me updated. Thanks, Toni On April 22nd, 2011, Toni05 added the following: I searched everywhere for Impatien Morsei: No luck. A friend gave me the heads up Accents had these beautys; I bought one on the spot.. Like every other plant ordered from Accents, the Impatiens arrived a few days after ordering, even though it's their busy time of the year. Plant was taped and packaged securely. Foliage is compact, even has a bud. Vividly colored..no mars or splits. Accents For Home and Garden is definately my favorite online plant store. Toni On June 3rd, 2011, Toni05 added the following: Some time ago I ordered two plants from Accents: Variegaetd Ardisia and Variegated Jasmine.. I was so excited when I found them, I forgot to check if they were in stock. After the order was placed, I paid. Fred emailed me explaining both plants were out of stock, and gave me an option of a refund or wait until they were available. I decided to wait. Monday, "Memorial Day,' Fred phoned with good news. The plants were ready to go, he'd send them the following day. Plants arrived yesterday, June 2, 2011, three days after his call. Super-Fast shipping, especially since Monday was a holiday! Plants were wrapped carefully. Each are good size, variegation very pronounced, and insect-free. I respect the fact he didn't ship plants without or with tiny roots..Or seedling size. . Thanks Fred. You made my day. I've been searching for Variegated Ardisia a long time. You have numerous plants on your site, so, sometimes I miss seeing a particular variety. There were times I had to wait a little longer for an order..especially around holidays and spring planting season. I've read feedback here on GWD where orders were placed in spring..A very busy time for nursery-people. If a shipment didn't arrive 6 days after their order, they panicked. Some left negative feedback before talking to Fred and/or other nursery-sellers. When hundreds if not thousands of orders come in, our plants are highly unlikely to arrive a few days after the initial order. It's common sense. There are times a plant might not be in stock. Or, the plant is on back-order, or they're just plain busy. Nursery-people are not infallible. They make mistakes. And so do we. Mistakes will be corrected if a non-hostile email is sent to the seller, instead of accusations, threats and cruel words. So, please be patient when ordering from any mail-order nursery. BTW, I am in no way affiliated with Accents or any other nursery. I might be wrong, but I took the liberty of writing this because It upsets me when I see Negative feedback on GWD. I check the date an order was placed, sometimes less than a week,' and 'X' person is complaining their order didn't arrive, then automatically leaves Negative feedback. Me-i-tis! Happy growing, Toni PS: There are some sellers who deserve Negative feedback. When we browse GWD, and a seller has 99% Negative feedback,, the practical thing to do is avoid the nursery. I'm sure many here know which nurseries I'm referring to. Sorry for ranting.. On November 16th, 2011, Toni05 added the following: Placed last order, due to freezing temps, autumn 2011. Even though it's nearing winter, Pepper's plants are good sized. My order consisted of: Peperomia, Pink Ripple..Very large Starfish Pagoda, variegata..Very large Agalia odorata..large, and budding Philodendrom squamiferum. Very large, striking colors/texture. Natal Plum variegta. The last one for now. Fred was honest enough to send an email about the NP's size. A little on the small side. He asked if I wanted a different plant. I opted to go for it. He also threw in a Variegated Haworthia, which was a pleasant surprise, considering I love variegaated plants. Even though the NP is small, it's very healthy and brightly colored. So beautiful. Haworthia also has vivid colors. Green and white/cream. So nice. Plants were carefully wrapped and boxed. Order arrived less than a week after order. Thanks Fred..You have the greatest, largest and healthiest plants around. Pepper's is definately one of the top 10 best nurseries in US. I already chose plants for 2012. lol. Toni On April 25th, 2012, Toni05 added the following: Pepper's 'first' order of the year...4/2012. Thumbergera..Natal Plum, Crassula Schmidtii, Brunsfelsia, 'packed with flowers,' Starfish Pagoda, and a super-large Kalanchoe 'Magic Bells.' Natal Plum is on the small side, but Fred was honest enough to notify me regarding size before payment went through. All plants are healthy, insect-free, good-sized specimens. Because of my location, zone 5, the above plants are grown as house plants, 'summered outdoors.' This year, I placed an order for, 'outdoor garden' plants. A first. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. Because I've never had problems with Peppers tropicals/succulents, I decided to give garden plants a try. What a shock when I saw the size of bulbs! 4 Crown Imperial, Fritillarias..root systems are humgongous, out of dormancy, new upper growth. 1 Allium..Fully rooted, out of dormancy, upper growth. Philadelphus x Lemoenei, 'Innocence,' common name, Mock Orange, variegated. Mock Orange arrived in a 4" pot, fully rooted, variegated foliage. I'll be ordering more perennials/bulbs, not to mention house plants, lol, in the future. Each plant/bulb was carefully wrapped. Shipping, super-fast. Thanks Pepper's. Toni On June 21st, 2012, Toni05 added the following: Although spring is a busy time of year, my new order arrived fast. Fred emailed, explained he was busy, my order might take some time. I replied, 'there's no rush.' Plants will get here when they do. All are house plants, so there's no hurry. I was shocked when the order arrived four days later. My order consisted of: Mini Wandering Jew, Chain Plant, Stripped Inch Plant, variegated Stephanotis, Kalanchoe 'Elephant Ear,' variegated Jewel of Opar, C. 'Flaming Jade,' and Plectranthus 'Ernestii.' Fred through in a few cuttings, to boot. Although each plant is beautiful, my favorites are the variegated Jewel of Opar and P. 'Ernestii.' I never had either plant so thought I'd give them a try. Variegation on variegated plants are vivid, very pronounced. I love them!! As usual, plants were packaged securely. Customer Service, 'Fred,' is a wonderful man. He's firm, but out to please customers. Great communication. Fred, thanks for sending such beautiful plants, Toni On July 25th, 2012, Toni05 added the following: Third order, July 2012 It's always a pleasure browsing through Accents/Peppers plants. Never know what one will find. Newest order: Impatiens Congo Cockatoo. Natal Plum variegated Impatiens Velvetea... Gardenia Jasminoides Gardenia Augusta Fred, thanks for the Bonus... Secure & Fast-Shipping. Toni On October 16th, 2012, Toni05 added the following: Ordered and received 5 healthy, good-sized plants. Fred added a bonus plant. 2 Speckled Wandering Jews... Beautiful, spotted foliage. Very unique. 1 Tree Oxalis. Tallest stem stands 9". Foliage filled. 1 Euphorbia Platyclada. Rare, strange-looking succulent. 1 Kalanchoe Figuereidoi. Large, colorful foliage. Very nice. Bonus.. Orostachys. Succulent foliage, good-size plant. White flowers. Very unusual. Plants arrived in secure packaging...Super-Fast shipping. Thanks Fred. On November 16th, 2012, Toni05 added the following: Probably last order of the year since temps are cold..although Fred added a heat-pack to prevent plants from being chilled. No frost-bitten foliage. Plants are healthy, pest-free and good size. Variegated plants are vividly colored. My List: Beloperone...Shrimp, varegated Plumbago... Blue flowers Crassula Schmidii...Flowering Jade Pelleromia... Emerald Green Tecoma...Cape Honeysuckle Brunsfelsia...Lady of the Night Pedilanthus..marbled.. Excoecaria...Chinese Croton Jasmine, Grand Duke of Tuscay Osmoxlon...Maiges Bush. All arrived in excellent condition. Plants, securely packaged..Shipping super fast... Thank You, Fred. A 5* Nursery..rare plants, too. Check Accents/Peppers if you're looking or ordinary and rare specimens. Toni On February 2nd, 2013, Toni05 added the following: Although temps were frigid, Fred sent securely wrapped plants. Heat pack included. Plants arrived fresh and healthy as usual. Order consisted of: Tricolor Strawberry Begonia Strawberry Begonia...several stolens Golden Strawberry Begonia Begonia 'Strawberry Cream'...true Begonia, not Saxifraga Miagos Bush variegata Via emails, Fred and I discussed the best time plants should be shipped. Since he keeps track of weather conditions, he reserved my order until temps reached 32F. Accents/Peppers has numerous plants I'd like to add to my collection but the last few days temps have been in the single digits, 0-8F; patience is the key. :) Toni On July 1st, 2013, Toni05 added the following: Sorry for the delay, Accents has rare, healthy, good-size, reasonably priced plants. One never knows what one will find when browsing indoor, outdoor plants, containers, figurines and supplies. I've added five additonal plants.. Each plant I received are healthy, beautiful, great size, pest-free, colorful and reasonably priced. Welcome to Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) the DMV of nurseries. Here's a few suggestions that I've learned from watching good businesses over the years: If Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) has been consistently "two weeks behind with orders" for at least the last three years, based on negative feedback here from 2014, and my observations for the last year, perhaps your business has grown and you need to hire another employee! If you hate children, don't get a job as a teacher. Similarly, if you don't possess the social skills to communicate politely, don't do customer service. If you decide to sell online, you should expect to expand your customer service to that clientele. While I have no desire to talk with you, in the 21st century we do use telephones for communication, and you're not going to be able to keep people from calling you about online ordering, ever. (I just got a tiny, good feeling.) If you're going to use the internet to sell your product, you're going to have internet customers that expect you to utilize the options given to you by the internet. One thing the internet is really good for is communicating information to people. To clarify, customer service means treating other people who are trying to purchase from you with a the same basic level of decency, respect, and consideration as you want them to offer to you. Negative feedback for Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) here runs back to 2004, and your bad attitude shows up over and over, Curt. When you don't have something a customer ordered, you update your site, then you contact them and ask if they would like a refund, a substitution of one of the other items ordered, or to wait until it is available. (Here's a secret. You write this letter one time. Then you SAVE it. Then you do what we call COPY and PASTE, using that same message for the next customer, but you change the names as needed for each different order. Now you can be just as rude as you like to be, but no one knows because you made your message polite!) When you don't have a plant in stock, and you cancel a customer's order, update your website to show these items are not available. You say you cancelled my order because only one item I selected was in stock. What are the chances of that? Pretty remarkable that I happened to pick all items you don't have in my selection of 8 specimens of 6 plant varieties. What I ordered & the number that is now listed in stock after Curt cancelled my order and refunded my money, which he kept for 2 weeks +: 1 of 8 in stock 2 of 0 in stock 1 of 1 in stock 1 of 1 in stock 2 of 8 and 1 of 4 in stock. So really, according to their site, Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) cancelled my order because they don't have one of the plants I ordered, not because they only have one of the plants I ordered. In stock or not, you cancelled my order, yet a day later you still have not updated your Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) site, which leads me to wonder if they were actually even in stock when I paid you for them last month. Considering several are still showing the same amount in stock as when I placed my order, I suspect that you let me order plants you didn't have simply because you can't be bothered to maintain your inventory. (Three weeks is enough time for you to be planning ahead and aware of your inventory, regardless of how large your business is in both stock and customers.) This theory would also explain why I received a partial order the first time I ordered from Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse). The increased cost per item caused by shipping fees, and the decreased amount of items received, made my first order from you a ridiculous purchase, with me overpaying considerably for what I received. That order was also delayed your 15-20 days, so you again had had plenty of time to update your site, and email me with those details. Evidently, this type of communication is too much of a bother for you. Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) site still shows all of these except one as available, offering customers the option to pay you for them. Not updating this information, particularly when you cancel a customer's order for them, shows a complete lack of consideration to your customers. If you treated your walk in customers this way, you'd have no business. Sad to think a business with so much potential like Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) is controlled by a person who has no qualms about taking his customer's money by leaving the option for more people to order, pay, wait out your chosen business practice of 15-20 days of non-communication, accepting payment for product he doesn't have, and then filling orders as/if he sees fit, rather than to a customer's specified preferences. While I love plants, I have plenty already, and I'll always find more I want. I can let go of the desire to keep the species you advertise as in stock, but you may or may not send to me, only weeks after I pay you. I purchase from several other, quality businesses, so won't be following links that lead to Pepper's Greenhouse or Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse). Be very clear that because of your blatant disregard for your customers, and your apparently self serving attitude, and evident dishonesty, or lack of caring about appearing to be dishonest, I will not purchase from you, and I will actively encourage others to avoid you.

from Lancaster, PA I called this business about an herb they sell, Lovage. I wanted to use the herb to feed black swallowtail caterpillars. The owner or manager got on the phone and I asked if they treat the lovage with any pesticides. The owner/manager was honest and informed me that yes, they do. She mentioned that 'they' are 'destroying the parsley and other plants'. I am unsure but I took it that she may have been killing butterfly caterpillars, black swallowtails specifically, in order for her plants to look nice for customers (since most other insects don't bother much with herbs and butterfly caterpillars will consume much of the foliage at later stages). Customers, what would you rather have.. perfect plants with dead caterpillars of beautiful butterflies or, a few holes and maybe a couple of caterpillars arriving on the plant? As gardeners, we have to accept that plants and wildlife are a package deal. If you care about the plant, you have to care about those depending on that plant. Yes, there are some that aren't valued such as aphids, spider mites.. but those insects are not in decline. Our pollinators are declining rapidly. The company was honest and I appreciate that but I will not support any company that sprays the plants, especially when there are declining pollinators and their offspring depending on those plants for survival. This is my experience and my opinion only. I felt others should be made aware of the practices of this business so they can make an informed decision.

from Doylestown, PA Received everything as expected. Plants were in decent condition considering they went through the mail. I ordered 4 Corsican Mint, 6 Mazus Reptans, and 2 Chinese Lobelia after researching on Dave's Garden (and not being able to find locally). They all filled the container, looked healthy, and the roots did not appear to be severely outgrowing the container. All 12 are transplanted, doing well, and are starting to add new growth. The containers were individually labeled with the plant names and requirements which made finding the ideal spot much easier. Would order again!

The plants are worthy of Forest Farm or Select Seeds (I think you know what a compliment that is) at a fraction of the price. I received three beautiful wintergreens, a quite large peace lily, two oregano Kent Beauty, three scented geraniums and an abutilon. They were well packaged and fresh. I am very pleased. These guys REALLY know what they are doing, and I will not hesitate to order from them in the future. On May 28th, 2013, DonnaMack added the following: Oh, my, goodness! The abuliton I received April 20 - ordered is three times larger and covered with buds. The previous one I received from another source was so weak I wondered whether I could really grow this plant - I just took a chance. The peace lily is forming flowers. The wintergreens, with which so many people have difficulty, have popped out new and beautiful leaves. Yes, I used soil conditioner, but most people say these things never grow, and just fade away. The Kent Beauties are thriving, as well as the scented geranium. With this quality and these prices, if I am looking for something they have, it's a go! On May 14th, 2015, DonnaMack added the following: Today I received spectacular plants from Peppers. I must comment on the phenomenal Japanese Shrub Mint Golden Angel. It was MUCH larger than expected for a very low price. After the success of the three wintergreen I received in 2013, I did not hesitate to order three more. And I ordered another pink abuliton. This company has consistently provided me with absolutely outstanding plants. And Fred very kindly acknowledged my request for a change in shipping date - and honored it. Very, very fine customer service, and excellent plants at a good price point - it's the combination that keeps me coming back. On May 8th, 2016, DonnaMack added the following: This year's orders were absolutely wonderful. I ordered a red abuliton, which came with two flowers in bloom, and a very nice scented geranium, but what really thrilled me were the two very large Japanese Shrub Mint Golden Angel, in perfect condition. I cannot say enough about this company. Very reasonable prices, really interesting plants, and expert packing. On February 21st, 2017, DonnaMack added the following: I ordered once again from this company, requesting salvia elegans (2) and wintergreen (3). The company carefully scheduled delivery for a series of 60 degree days, which we do not often get in northern Illinois in February, but the amazing thing was the wintergreen The salvia was nice but the wintergreens, in addition to having gorgeous shiny healthy leaves, were covered with very fresh berries. This was completely unexpected, and truly delightful. On March 29th, 2017, DonnaMack added the following: I was so please with my wintergreen that I ordered three more, plus an abuliton. Again, the abuliton was covered with berries. Just amazing.

from Bradenton, FL (Zone 10a) I recently purchased 2 plants from Accents for Home and Garden. I had purchased plants from this nursery a few times in the past and the plants arrived as expected, so I never had to contact them with a problem, This time was different. One of the plants I ordered, a Chinese Hat plant, was only 2 inches tall with one leaf and was barely rooted. I'm sure the nursery pulled it off the mist bench before it was ready so they could sell it. I was in disbelief when I opened the box. I thought it was a joke. A 2 inch twig just beginning to grow a root? They should have informed me the plant was not ready for shipment and given me an option. I emailed the nursery, waited 2 days, and received no response. I called and explained the problem and was told that "he" (Fred Pepper) was out of town at a plant show and would be back that evening. She advised me to resend the email, which I did. Three days later, still no reply. I emailed a third time, explaining the problem and asking for a refund or replacement. Still, no reply. There is no customer service as others have said, and I will not buy plants from Accents for Home and Garden again.

from Davenport, WA On April 3, I ordered one Hardy Orange and 5 Artemesia Powis Castlew from this company. Total plant order: $33.70. Total shipping: $25.25. The website clearly states that plants will be shipped in 15-20 days. Yes, this shipping is ridiculous, but I wanted the plants and went ahead and paid it. (plus the $1 packing fee.) Twenty days came and went, so at about 30 days I e-mailed inquiring when my order would be sent. I was advised that the Hardy Orange was ready, but that the Artemesias couldn't be sent until June 10--first notification of this. The first week in June we could be easily be over 100 deg. where I live--not good conditions for planting in a dry climate. I e-mailed back, saying I probably should cancel the order, but was willing to accept the Hardy Orange if the shipping of $25.25 would be substantially reduced. No response. Shipping notice three days later. Today I received the Hardy Orange, there was NO adjustment of shipping charges, and a note on the order form saying "Refund Sent to Paypal." No refund has been sent to Paypal. E-mailed the seller, who again refused to acknowledge that I was only willing to accept the Hardy Orange if shipping was substantially reduced, and that they were just "backed up in the office," so I hadn't yet been reimbursed. So, I have now paid about $35.00 for a 6" plant that got knocked up quite a bit by USPS; that is, if they are ever able to find the time to reimburse the other $24.75. I have contested this through Paypal, and will proceed to contest through my charge card if it is denied. I have never before seen such lack of regard for customer service and will never purchase from them again.

from (Zone 9b) Most people have had great experiences with this company, and I would agree they do a good job...most of the time that is. The issue I have with this company is in instances when I need to contact them. If one has an issue with an order, then good luck finding a resolution. Consider it a gamble when ordering. If you don't get what you ordered or they ignore your no-substitution request, then don't even bother wasting any effort to get your issue fix. And if you want to open a Paypal dispute, Paypal will likely force you to ship the item(s) back at your expense to resolve the issue. There is no fair resolution here.

from Phoenixville, PA I am a first time online plant purchaser. Less than a week ago I ordered an orange sceptre butterfly bush. Peppers knocked it out of the park. I could not have been happier when I opened the well packed box and found a large, healthy beautiful plant that was full of life. Being a first time purchaser I kept my order small. I am so pleased with the care and speed of Peppers that I am already planning my next order. from Lansdowne, PA Posted on July 1, 2015, updated August 4, 2015 On June 25th I ordered two red mistletoe cacti from Pepper's because the price was good but I wasn't really sure what I would be getting. Their site only stated that they would be shipped in 4" pots, which could mean anything. From the beginning I received emails with a package tracking number and updates on when I would receive my plants. The box was delivered this morning and stamped in red was "live plants enclosed." I just opened them and I have to say they are better than what I had hoped for. Each plant was carefully wrapped, healthy and are a good size for the price. I would not hesitate to order from them again. On August 4th, 2015, gvargo added the following: Once again, I've had a very positive experience with Accents for Home and Garden. I recently ordered three plants, two of them rather unusual: Queen's Tears and Indian Clock Vine, along with a variegated Hoya Kerrii. AFHG was the only vendor who had all three and all were less expensive than their competitors. Upon ordering, I noticed that the Indian Clock Vine was out of stock. I was going to cancel that item and order something else but later that day it slipped my mind and I never contacted the company. Only a few days later, I saw the mailman at my door with a box. As I stated before, the box was stamped that live plants were inside, a courtesy that other companies don't extend. I figured the Indian Clock Vine was on back order and only two of the plants had arrived. However, I was surprised to see that all three plants were inside the box. I love the low prices that AFHG offer, sometimes as little as half as much as other nurseries, and yet the plants are so gorgeous and generously sized that I don't know how they do it. I do know I will definitely be ordering from them again.

from Bristol, TN Posted on July 23, 2015, updated July 23, 2015 I ordered a desert rose that had (from their website) "clusters of flowers in pink and white with a hint of red." The photo on the order was clearly a red and white flower. //site.mawebcenters.com/accentsforhomeandgarden_1/catalog_i11634001.html?catId=292137 When my desert rose bloomed, it was completely white. Completely. No trace of pink or red or anything. ALL white. I thought: Oh...there's been a mistake, they messed up and sent the wrong one. I'll just email and let them know of the error, and they'll send me the right one. But no. When I told them I'd not received a red and white flower, Fred told me he'd never promised me a red and white one. When I pointed out that the website and sales receipt had red and white in print and in picture, he reluctantly agreed to refund my money if I sent my plant back first. I explained that I didn't want my money back so much as I wanted a red and white desert rose, but he wouldn't do that. They would not send me a red and white desert rose. I don't think they have any. I suggested Fred take down the picture of a red and white desert rose, and remove the print description that says "pink and white with hints of red" , if he was selling white ones, but he said he wouldn't change anything. Fred's social skills aren't the greatest. And I question his word. But I'm always disappointed when folks act like this. On July 23rd, 2015, timbobway1 added the following: After writing my comments, I decided to go back to the site and check out the language and the picture again. I clicked on "enlarge" for the photo, and I swear, it looks like it's been Photoshopped! Amazing. Who'd have thought a plant seller would get soooo weird? Check it out. See if you don't agree. //site.mawebcenters.com/accentsforhomeandgarden_1/catalog_i11634001.html?catId=292137 The picture has been Photoshopped. I've moved beyond disappointment. On July 16th, 2015, trackinsand added the following: placed an order last week and paid thru paypal. i received an immediate refund on two plants that were no longer available. received confirmation email and tracking email very quickly. plants came yesterday and as usual, i am very happy with the size and health of the plants. it's been ungodly hot lately and i always worry a little when placing an order with any company in the dead of summer. needn't worry with peppers though. everything is well watered and in great shape. they took the time to wrap an Aeonium especially well so that the delicate leaves wouldn't fall off. always pleases with this company. they have an amazing assortment of rare plants that you just can't find anywhere else. if you do, they are three times as much. i'll be back, of course! Company representative comment on April 6, 2009: On Apr 5, 2009 10:52 PM, Accents for Home and Garden (Pepper's Greenhouse) responded with: Thank You, Glad to have fulfilled your search.

from Middletown, NY BEWARE. I received my order of 6 Indian Pink perennials (I ordered 7 being informed that was the number they had but they only shipped 6) on June 11, 2015. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Two of the plants were barely acceptable, two were tiny and very mediocre (not something I would ever buy) and two were barely alive. In fact, as of today, June 13, 2015, they are declining rapidly. I have purchased from many mail order companies. This is by far the very worst one I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER order from them again. By the way, I immediately sent an email to them expressing my dissatisfaction but have not have been shown the courtesy of a reply.

from Laurel, MD (Zone 7a) I just received my plants from Pepper's Greenhouse and was so pleased I thought I should share my experience. I was really surprised to see a negative review. I ordered on May 26 and had not heard anything about delivery, so I sent an email on June 3 to inquire about when to expect delivery. I received an immediate response, a "click and ship' notification.( I believe they could work on communication but do understand if you are a small company how it might be difficult to do so.)Today, I received my plants. I have rarely received such healthy, mature, well packaged plants in all the years I have been ordering on-line. Each plant also had growing instructions taped to the pot they were in. I am truly overjoyed with these plants. I will order from them again.

from Vashon, WA Sadly I have to agree with the other negative feedback about Peppers Greenhouse. Not only did my plants arrive damaged from shipping, but clearly burned from the sun before they were shipped. Additionally, I wrote numerous e mails requesting an estimated shipping date with no response. Part of my order was omitted and I was not advised of this. Attempts to resolve damaged plants were responded to with short tempered arrogance and lack of consideration. When I requested a refund I was refused and advised the only time refunds are given are when plants are returned. However-The FAQ states "no returns" !! Sad sad way to biz.

from Peabody, MA I decided to try out this nursery and placed an order; communication was really poor, seller did not notify me when they will be shipping the plant only when they decide based on the weather, which I wasn't happy about at all, would be nice to know when the plant is shipped or will be; once I finally received the plant it had no documentation, descriptions or how to take care of the plant, in few weeks it was not doing too well so I did some research and and tried to take care of it based on what I read online which did not help so I sent them a message asking for assistance on how to take care of the plant, had no response; finally I sent them a message in less than a month if I could return the plant and here's the response I got: "No returns. when a plant arrives to you alive ,our responsibility ends. That is a very easy plant to grow, thriving on neglect." this is a very poor response to a paying customer, short, arrogant with attitude. This is definitely not good customer service. I'm not going to buy from this nursery again, good thing I didn't spend a lot of money. I bought from other nurseries online before and this is by far the worst service I've had

from Rockville, MD (Zone 7a) I ordered ferns from Pepper's. The price was good, as was the selection. However, several weeks went by without any communication from them. When I contacted them, asking for an order update, I received a curt response saying that filling orders usually took a few weeks. When my order finally arrived, again without any communication, 1/3 of it had been cancelled. They didn't charge me for the missing plants, but the lack of communication was irritating. The quality of the plants I received was very good. However, Pepper's (Fred) needs to improve his customer service A LOT. Communication with customers is extremely poor: a customer deserves to be informed when an order cannot be fulfilled, and notified with an estimated ship date, especially when a delay of several weeks seems to be standard.

from Humble, TX I stumbled upon these reviews of Pepper's only after I had placed an order with them for rhizomatous begonias. My heart sunk as I read the negative reviews. It was the dead of winter when I ordered so I waited. I didn't receive a call or an email, but I was patient. My plants arrived when the weather permitted a safe shipment. Worth the wait! Plants came carefully wrapped and gorgeous. Healthy, sturdy, well formed plants. I'm thrilled.

from Arlington, TX Order an old fashioned Chrysanthemum I could not find anywhere else. Plant arrived well packed and healthy. It has been a few months since I planted it, and it is still doing very well. Maybe not a high service company, but I am happy with my order. After placing my order, I did not receive an email or other notification. No ship notice was sent either. After a couple weeks, my order arrived, safe and sound.

from Newton, TX Ordered plant Oct 3rd, received Oct 8th Just received my plant, Impatiens Congo Cockatoo, from Peppers Greenhouse and I couldn't be more pleased! Actually 2 plants in the pot, both very healthy. Well packaged, not even a lost leaf. The price was great as was the cost of shipping. I have no doubt I will be ordering from them again.

from Athens, GA (Zone 8a) Posted on September 12, 2014, updated September 12, 2014 First time ordering: 3 Sinningia, 2 pomegranates, 1 hibiscus, 1 orange jasmine. Got a UPS click-it message with tracking number 2 days after ordering. Plants arrived in very good shape - a bit on the dry side, but they recovered well. I found that the price per plant is one of the better deals available. The shipping is somewhat expensive (about 50% for an admittedly small order), but I found it to be a good deal altogether, considering what other companies charge for similar sized plants. In other words: I found that Pepper's price per plant plus shipping per plant still comes out less expensive than similar size plants plus shipping from other companies. I will order again from this company. On September 12th, 2014, floria added the following: Forgot to add that I emailed with a question and I got a reply in about 2 hours.

from Alamo, CA It's been over a year since last order. I think I just bought from these guys once, but it was a big order. I bought a j. Sambac moe, a chenille, justicia, philodendron pink princess, and a couple others I don't remember what. All arrived nice, the philodendron was enormous and too heavy for the pot to support it. Wow things have changed a lot in just over a year. I just up potted that sambac to a 3g, that chenille is in a 5g. I'm done with this review.

from Vallejo, CA On August 28 I placed an order for a "madusa's head" and "flame leaf spurge. I never received a confirmation eMail or tracking number. My messages were curt and the responses, were all repetitive of how an eMail is sent right after a purchase was made. None of the response had given me the information requested; confirmation, tracking number... Adding insult to injury, pictures online are terribly misleading. The plants received were in a USPS box that looked like it was trampled on and the plants themselves looked just as bad as the box they came in. please refer to my facebook page to see the online pictures and the actual plants received. https://www.facebook.com/MyrnaSantana1997 I will never, never do business with them or refer them to any of my friends.

from Milton, DE (Zone 7b) This is my second order with them. I placed a small order in May. Fred contacted to let me know that a few of the plants were small and would be a few weeks. I actually changed my m ind a few weeks in and asked if I could get another item (Fatsia japonica "Camouflauge" after seeing a friends plant from them). Fred promptly replied and let me know what the additional cost would be. This was on Friday, order went out Monday afternoon with delivery confirmation emailed to me. Plant arrived perfectly packed, and I could not have hand picked a nicer plant myself, nice 2 gallon pot. I have ordered last year several tropicals and they were well rooted and packed. Very pleased with the communication from Fred. Would defintely order again. Thank you!

from Rogersville, MO Two of the plants they sent me had a fungal disease. I took photos with them still partly in their packaging and sent them to them, asking what I should do if one or both died. No response. Sure enough, one died. I sent another email telling them this, and again no response. I don't recommend them at all and won't order from Pepper's Greenhouse again.

from Mid Gulf Coast, TX (Zone 9b) How do these people stay in business? I placed an order with them over two and a half weeks ago and have neither heard from them nor received my order. I have emailed them and called and left a message - still NOTHING! I will not order from them again....if I can't find a plant somewhere else, I will do without.

from Mendon, NY (Zone 6a) Order number 14580511 I bought three each lavender and anemone. I contacted this company by e-mail twice and informed them that none of the three anemone have shown any sign of life yet. Considering it is June, I don't think these plants have survived and they have yet to respond to my request for advice. I don't like leaving negative feedback, but I feel I have no other choice.
