Does well in hot locations. This plant flowered from May thru October, and grew quickly.

Sage & Montbretia together. Sage has done really well. Making a clump about 5' x 5' circle and 4' high. Full sun Zone 9b

I have to grow this as an annual & it certainly does not reach the height it would in warmer locations but I think it is a great plant.

The best salvia that I ever bought. The humming birds just love it. When a peice breaks off I just insert it in soil and it roots. Mine got extremely big this year. Mary-Gainesville, GA

Taken on 24th August 06. The blue is much deeper, a difficult colour to capture. Grown from small plants received in May.

I planted a mini rose in front of this salvia, and have enjoyed the result....lovely blue flowers and stunning black calyx and stems. A hummingbird haven!!

All the nectar loving wingers love this flower.. Particularly Hummingbirds and Large Sulphur Butterflies.. Pictured here with a nectaring Gulf Fritillary.
