This is an Heirloom peanut that we have named for the man who grew it.
Ernest Dietrick was a gentleman from Olney,IL who selected these nuts for their size and number of fruits per pod.

A flower of Arachis hypogaea growing in my yard. After self-pollination this pushes into the ground to become the peanut.
