Foliage dark green, shiney, gold trumpet shaped flowers with yellow-orange throat and brownish streaks. Photo taken in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Called Copa De Oro in Spanish.

Allamanda cathartica is frost tender. In Zone 8b, this plant has suffered some damage to its leaves after several freezing early mornings due to its not being protected, but it is still blooming in early December. (San Antonio, Texas)
