The Bush Allamanda (Allamanda schottii) seedpods (seed pods) add interest to the plant. My bush allamanda blooms prolifically; however, it produces very few seedpods.

This photo shows the Bush Allamanda's buds, one bloom about to open and one just beginning to open. The buds themselves add interest to this tender tropical shrub that is native to Brazil. It blooms nonstop from spring until fall. Shown in April. (San Antoio, Tx.)

This bush allamanda seed pod (seedpod) is about 1.5 inches long and a little less in width and very spiney. The mature pods are hard and difficult to open.
