Variegated Devil's Backbone is an excellent plant to use to brighten up a shady area. The leaves have different degrees of variegation and have shades of pink blended into the white which does not show up well in this photo. (San Antonio, Tx.)

The variegated portions of my plant died off a couple years ago. Yeah, I know I should have removed the solid green shoots early! Still, an interesting plant and it has bloomed a couple of times.

Very attractive plant with multi-colors. Love the little delicate blooms.
