I have giant burgundy sugar cane that is about 10 feet tall. I will need to bring it in this winter as it's not hardy here. I will need to cut it back to fit into the garage so I wanted to use the cuttings to start more. I've tried to propigate it in the past without much success. Does anyone know how big the stems have to be or how old the canes must be for rooting. I've been told by a nursery that it roots at the joints.
