The Blather Stick Gathers No Moss...

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

wouldn't trade it for all the chickens in the world!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Nope nor would I. I would rather have the grandkids in bed with me than the chickens.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I think some one has cabin fever.

Come to Florida we are back ito the 70's again and that is after freeze our rumps off for a week.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

haha - yep snow means another day lost in the home remodel/addition project. I'll be stuck inside cleaning. Which is needed, but I was looking forward to putting my windows in today!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Ohhhh...what are you additioning??? hehehe
Pictures please. ;)

(Zone 7b)

Wren back to the 70s let me get out my bell bottoms and platform shoes. Who's bringing the disco music and jeno's pizza rolls?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Funny, Funny!!!!!!!

(Zone 7b)

Wren you have 70s i have 60s and loveing it due to have a "Warm Week!" so that means.

1 No frozen waterer's
2 My chickens get a break from the cold
3 I can catch up on outside neglected chores
4 Looking at seed catalogs and planning my garden while sitting in it.
5 Just being happy it's not so darn cold!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Harmony,
Funny you should mention platforms and bellbottoms. Can I borrow them? I'm turning 30 (revealing age - *GASP!*) on Feb 1st and we are having a party on the 7th. Its going to be a costume party and all are invited to dress up at the generation they were born. HA! Should be a blast from the past. I'm hunting down the appropriate music, disco ball, and attire ... hehe

(Zone 7b)

That sounds like a great party don't forget your gold chains and no 70s party is complete without 1 or 2 Kiss Songs. The Bee Gees are a must for that whole saturday night fever boogie night dancing boogie.

Can yall hussle and do the bump "Get Down' Get Down' Get Down' Tonight Baby'

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I did not wear bellbottoms. did not have the form to look good in them. To short and wide at that end. Sigh!!!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Woo hoo! I'm gettin' my Bee Gees CD on! Love 'em!

Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin alive....stayin' alive...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Do you guys remember Boney M?

Rah Rah Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen...

Clarkson, KY

Sorry....

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I've been shopping online for bell bottoms and peasant blouses... I have platforms, if my post-kid feet can still fit in them. ha!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

You need a beaded headband.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Oooo - nice! I also need some hair. I don't remember a lot of pictures of ladies of the 70's wearing their hair short. hmmm... wig?

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Great, now that song will be stuck in my head all day!!!
Thats the way...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

uh-huh uh-huh I like it...

(Zone 7b)

There was a time during the 70s when short hair was popular girls were getting the "Page Boy".

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I am taking the glitter/glam approach as a fan of the Thin White Duke

"Ziggy played guitar, jammin good with Weird and Gilly
And the spiders from Mars...."

(bet that makes a good wassail too).

Happy anniversary to you

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

dahlia, you apparently haven't realized that this is the forum where the Chicken Fairy infects you! You won't be able to take it forever. Whaddya say, folks? Will dahlia have pips by the next anniversary?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

shhhh bridgidlily the chicken police are watching me after I asked so many questions and tried to licence a chick-a-poo. I will have to be very, very sneaky

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Probable when H---L freezes over----wait a minute it does freeze up where she lives.

I say yes. But she will have to sew them some little costumes to make them look like parrots.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Gophers. I'm thinking gopher disguises especially because Monday is Gopher Day.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL That is great! I wonder if you can teach the chickens a couple of words too. "Chicken wanna cracker" LOL

Happy Anniversary Dahlia! I am learning all these new reasons to celebrate.. all those birthdays too.
