Hello Bamboo folks,
I am trying to choose a bamboo species to use in a garden and would like some recommendations.
1. It will be housed in above the ground pots or a planter box of some time.
2. Preferably a clumping variety but you may know best.
3. Not too water intensive
4. Not too tall
Do you know what would be suitable?

Jtwig, thanks for posting this. I live in Davis, too, and am having the same questions :-).
Since nobody's had any recommendations yet, you might try looking at www.bamboosourcery.com They're in Sebastopol and if there's no info on the website that helps you, you could call them and I bet they'll have some suggestions for you, they should have a good idea of what your climate is like and what would do well for you.
