Eliza Ducklittle 4

That's truly wonderful, Kim. It's tough to release a bird that you've reared from a ball of fluff, but the deep satisfaction when you're still seeing that bird years later is unbeatable. Congratulations.

That is such a neat story. I think you should write a childrens book .... The adventures of Eliza! ^_^

It is so wonderful to know she is alive and well.............

I would love to write a series of books, and use all of the ducks stories as if it happened to one. Someday...

I wish you would, Kim. They'd be hilarious. Just make a start.

Well, I have a journal on most of the ducks that we have had...I guess that is a start ;o)

I know someone who could illustrate your book for you. :) and I am a really good proofreader.
See, you have the journal and the illustrator and the proofreader. You only need a publisher!

Little Rock, AR(Zone 7b)

Don't think it's hard to find a publisher now days!! Think you can publish most anything through amazon now.

North Little Rock, AR(Zone 7b)

Wow! Now someone explain how to get started...with publishing that is...

I have a friend I graduated high school with that just published a book. I bought a copy through Amazon. Her book says it's published by Infinity. She's an English major and former teacher. Her book is about Mark Twain's visit to Hawaii. So it's somewhat of a historical book. She lived in Hawaii for 10 years and taught. I will send her an email and she what she says.

I know of someone else who has published several books. His are online on amazon. He is a retired attorney and just writes for fun.

the problem with self publishing is also self-marketing. So if you are doing this just for fun, then go for it. But if you want to see it really sell, lots more work. I think you know someone in another hemisphere that can tell you about this. lol.

hahaha You are so right, Marna! I am not certain that I have the stamina or courage that Mags has had on her book. Thanks for the website...

Haven't heard from my friend but here's the link to the publisher she used. It's a self publisher.

Well she didn't give much information but here is the publisher my friend suggested.
"Sounds like a great book idea: ducks! A great children's publisher is Author House. They published all my friends children's books."
Probably just need to google them and then contact them to see what they have to say!
