I thought we'd start a new thread for December. Should have thought of it this morning, but must not have had my coffee yet LOL!
We came from here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/926293/
Everyone is welcome - bring your weather news (and any other news) here!
December Daily Weather - Tis the Season!
Thanks and very nice tree, Sharon!
Thanks for the new thread, Sharon ! Beautiful tree!
Kiska, the tree in Hawaii was so huge, but so beautiful !
Celia, Rita and 2 other doggies were really climbing the fence two months ago...I don't remember if I posted about them back then. I took them all inside a couple of nights, when it was raining...then , they got sick...3 of them, one after another and I couldn't let them out, so they all stayed in Buck's cottage I've already made. They didn't have their cottage done yet and they kept on coming, even if it was warm outside and it didn't rain...and after I made their cottage too !LOL They were still small and could come through the gate bars. Then, we put some wires, so they couldn't come through, but they learned to climb on the wires like on a stair...they were too cute!
Here's their first attempt! Rita is the one with the head in, on the left !LOL
Adina
Adina, Boss could never have done that! He loved you too much! Such a handsome boy he was.
Rusty – I love Rusty’s story. He’s a handsome dog.
Celia – All Boo does is watch. She doesn’t try to catch any of the birds or squirrels. Cool planet pic!
Kiska – I like the tree and gift boxes! At least it gets cool/cold(ish) here for Christmas (most of the time).
Adina – Your babies are so cute! I know you miss your Boss. I miss him too. He would never have bitten you - he loved you as much as you loved him :)
Thank you on the tree. I've made some adjustments since I took that picture on Friday. I'll have to take a new picture.

Cumulus - I love the rocket launcher! That is hysterical!
LOL That's way cool! I need one for the dogs across the street. (I wouldn't really) (I would on their people neighbors, though)
Still cold, only got to 35 today and partly cloudy all day. Now it is Dyson Dark and there is still a bit of snow on the ground. It will all disappear tomorrow due to warming temps then come back again on Weds.
Cumulus- I sure could use that rocket launcher around here. It might actually keep the neighbor's dogs and cats plus the raccoons and opposums out of our yard. LOL

Hello Pepper23!
Here's now get chilly here...
Hi Rusty!! Give the other Rusty a nice rubdown for me. :~)
Love the new thread/photo, MySharona. The angel collection is so pretty.
3:43 pm was sunset, so it's dark again already. Was a beautiful day; the temp dropped to 1°F and is due to keep going down to Minus 10°F as the clear ~cold settles in. Need to check for Northern Lights tonight ~ conditions seem to be just right.
The deck continues to Pop and Crack with every few degrees drop. Kinda keep track of the temp through the popping.
My son/family went ice fishing and had good luck.
Adina~the puppies sure brought a smile as I saw them...Boss was certainly beautiful.
Cumulus~very "cool" kitty house.
10:30 this morning as the sun was coming up.
adina, I really like the looks of the silver puppy with the black face.
Rusty, I think you have an outstanding animal. He certainly looks intelligent.
Welcome Cumulus79.
We had over an inch of rain yesterday. With temps at 37 we were glad it was an inch of rain and not a foot of snow. Although I am over the pneumonia, I do not relish the thought of running the snow blower just yet. LOL
Few showers today, temps about 35 - a breakthrough of sunshine this afternoon. Not bad at all!!
we are told that a cold front is coming down through Michigan and will chill us down right good.
Hey you guys in Michigan, how come you want to share with us so badly???
Good morning!
It's seems to be cloudy this morning, 29°F and just a light breeze blowing. Sunrise will be at 10:50 and sunset at 3:45 pm. According to the forecast, there is a possibility of some white stuff later today :-)
Celia - very cool photos of the moon and planets :-)
Rusty - Rusty is a handsome fellow :-)
Adina - very cute puppy photos :-)
Sharon - your tree looks great :-)
Cumulus - very COOL igloo :-) I'm surprised you had enough snow to make one!
Kiska - very nice photo of you and the Christmas decorations ... I totally agree, warm weather and Christmas decorations don't go together ;-) lol I found it very hard to get into the "spirit" when we lived in Florida ..... one year we sprayed fake snow on the windows ... it still didn't feel right ;-) lol
Another re-run from last December ....
Hope you all have a great day!
Rann
Good Morning! Thank you – the tree is a work in progress!
Celia – You are lucky to have the Moon/Jupitur/Venus pics. I tried to get picture, but we’ve have too much cloud cover. “They” say it will be 2025 before it happens again, so date-stamp those pics!
Kiska – Love your picture! I hope you got to see the Northern Lights!
Ric – When do you sleep?!
Rann – Pretty pink sky!

Today
Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. High 54. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Woodpecker at the birdbath over the weekend. He was a little shy at first hanging out in the tree, looking around...moving around the tree - then suddenly he swooped down and enjoyed the water.
Thanks for the warm (cool?) welcomes :)
As it looks like there won't be many snow tomorrow, but some showers which will result in deep blue skies and nice cloud formations for photography.
Strange thing happening in my climate zone is that during 1980-1990 snow heights were decreasing year after year when it came to snow, but the snow remained for several days to more than a week
1990-2000 very few snow, but sometimes lasting cold weather like january 1997
2000 - today: more and thicker snow again, but even when there's half a feet of snow in the morning, everything was gone before evening. The iglo on the first pic couldnt be completed because all of the snow was allready gone the morning after and the iglo collapsed. I'm curious what this winter will bring the upcoming months...
27° (Wind Chill 18°) Looks like the precip has moved out till Thurs at least.
I didn't do any of that work there in the update.
Weekends we do the major stuff.
Robyn works on the room while I'm at my work.

0° dark, cold and clear.
Pioneer Peak looks gorgeous in the dark as its great snow-clad shape is visible in the darkness. I just love being outside for a few moments w/out winter gear to feel the coolness and breathe the pure air.
Highs 5 to 15 above. Variable wind to 10 mph.
se_eds~ hope you won't need to be moving snow any time soon. My relatives in Michigan said they were getting a lot of snow over the weekend.
ric~looks as if we'll be seeing the finished project very soon now.
kwanjin~the photos are fantastic~very special event that you've captured.
Cumulus~interesting winter patterns; does make you wonder about this winter.
Rusty~take care and keep warm. Hope your hip feels better soon.
MySharona~are you feeling better now? Any summer plans to come this way?
This young moose was just feet from me; I was indoors as he was eating the currant branches beneath the windows a few days ago.
Thanks, all, for the compliments on the pics. We're getting an adapter for the 'scope so I can get better pics through that.
Great moose shot, Kiska! I envy you.
Rann, love that sunset.
Cumulus, thanks for the history reminder. Very strange weather patterns we've been having.

Kiska - Neat picture! I love their faces LOL! I'm better, still coughing though. Now Jeff has it and the cough. We started talking vacation days last night, so hopefully we'll have concrete plans soon.

Rudolph the Red Nosed 'Cedes is baaack!
That is so great! LOL
rann~forgot to mention how pretty the sky looked; using artifical snow on the tree seems like a good idea, even it didn't really work.
MySharona~sorry Jeff's getting sick now. The Rudolf camo is so cute~~~
kwanjin~Monty's expression says it all~curious kitty, indeed.
10:30 am ~ getting light out yesterday. (same this morning).
It was very foggy this morning but the sun came out later.

Pepper - LOL! Nice picture!
I forgot to add the caption. It's a pic of my coneflower seed heads.
And Sylverster has too many chores. You need to cut him some slack, girl! LOL
Cold here today!
Well not Alaska cold or abything like that but our high was 36°.
We did have a bunch of snow but it never stuck.
Currently 28° (Wind Chill 22°)
The kicker is tomorrow will be 54° ....
then back to 34° for a high Thursday....
Make up your mind!
Robyn started painting the closet.
As you can see she favors the bold colors.... inside the cupboards and closets...
Ric
kiska, hoping for no snow, no time soon. Each couple of days is a blessing. Love the moose!!!
No snow here, just rain and drizzle which we are glad for. High today 40 until the sun went behind a cloud. Winds at 10-15 mph, so I was outsie filling bird feeders, etc.
Am getting better each day. Such beautiful weather, the birds are coming to the feeders. May have to take pics.
RIc, your weather is a day behind ours. LOL. Today we hit 50 in most areas but tomorrow our high is only supposed to be 31. With snow. Heading your way soon!! LOL
