JL- I wish you a safe and productive trip. God bless you for your hard work!
In former lives I was a librarian, a writer, a stay at home mom. Now I stay at home and the kids left! I deal in antiques/collectibles and play old time music.

Hi I am disable-was data entry- Now a ture epi nut. with 200 epiphyllums
Periodontal Office Manager (now working just part-time) - 24 yr old son in Air Force leaving for Iraq on Sunday!!!
God Bless, pcds. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Thank you so much mamasita - your kindness means a lot to me!
I also have a 24 year old son. At one point, he was seriously considering the Marines - I was a basket case. These days, he works in an ER and is also very active as a volunteer firefighter/emergency services tech. I highly respect our young men and women in the service; please keep us (me) posted with how he's doing, OK?
You bet! Sounds like your son is a very conscientious and caring individual. You should be proud - good job, mamasita.
Back atcha!
Public school administrator for four years, teacher for 15 years before that.

It is very interesting to find out about others careers. Great idea! I am a retired library cataloguer.
Hey, Jam. Not to be too Cacti forum geeky, but a person who makes jewelry is usually called a jeweler, which is what I am. Thanks for keeping this going, it helps me understand peoples point of view. carri
I looked up your information:
My husband and I have made jewelry for 30 years and I studied landscape design. carri
It said making jewelry so that's what I put in. I'll change it to jeweler. For all I knew you were stringing glass beads on strings like the little old ladies do when they go to Arizona for the winter to pass the time. (One of my Mom's many activities back in the 70's_____now I'm the 'little old lady') I tried to use your own words as much as I could.
I learned something. To me a jeweler has a store and sells jewelry and fixes watches(or they use to back in the 50's) They didn't necessarily make anything.

Physical therapist for 4 years and hopefully many more.
Thanks for checkin in NancySLAZ and QCHammy. Nice to add a few more. Jean
I'm a video game artist and pastelist.
Actually the reason I became obsessed with succulents two months ago is because of the game I'm currently working on. And now I have about 30 new subjects for my pastels : )
pastelist??
pastelist?? paste list?? You left me somewhere's in the dust!! jam
OH, divide the word in a different place and you get pastel ist!! Sorry.

I love pastels! What else do you draw besides the succulents?
Hello everyone. New to this site and this forum. You all seem like a really interesting group of people. I moved to Florida from Ohio about 5 years ago and couldn't get anything that I'm used to growing to grow here. (Zone 11) So, I started to grow succulents and they love it here! I collect them now. Maybe you could add me to your list...I'm a Property Manager/Real Estate Agent. Nice to meet you all! Keep warm up north. :)
Dragonflygarden have you gone to Florida forum yet? I have trouble remembering names. We have a number of gardeners down your way
Glad to have you join us dragonflygardn. Everyone's two cents worth helps.
Hey folks___we now represent 6 countries and 23 of the 50 US States.
paste list LOL. I'm totally going to use that from now on :D
I'm sorry jam ; ) if I tell people I'm a painter, everyone assumes oil or acrylic, so it's easier for me to be more technical.
mamasita - i mostly do still lifes with fruit or plants, sometimes random objects, i like to depict things that have life. I have a website with some work, but I'm not sure about the etiquette here, is it ok to post a personal website in this thread, or do I put it somewhere else, or mail it to you? I'm a newb !
jen
I'm not sure how they feel about it, jen. Someone on one of the other forums started their own thread titled "Artists in" that particular forum. It is very popular. You may be able to do the same thing here, and open it to all other artists who frequent C&S. I don't know whether there is already a thread within this forum like that, but you may be able to search through to see. You can always Dmail your information to me so I can see your work.
