It's gorgeous!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Tazzy, I got this one in northern VT at Cady's Falls Nursery. They are also for sale online but for much more.

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Lovely slipper. Would you possibly know the name of the small yellow orchid that is hardy and about to bloom soon in our zone? They're usually found in woodlands.

Is it an epipactus?

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

I don't know. I'll post on orchid forum.

Lion King rules!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I'm cutting down sib stalks today (a huge but rewarding project). Now it's pouring for the second time today. Seems I am always wet. I worry about orchids, amaryllis, and hoyas never getting to dry out. I also didn't get a chance to shoot brevicaulis which is blooming now.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Lion King is so very beautiful!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I managed to get some pics of brevicaulis. I got confused this year because it bloomed early the last two years but late this year. With bee.

Two not so great pictures coming up, but the best I can get this year with all the rain we had. My two tallest and latest sibs.

I love the depth of the color on Tall Dark and Handsome.

Something new-Shikizaki (laevigata) x Kachou (ensata). It's more purple than this-beat up a bit by T-storms.

Roy's Repeater today.

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

Kathy, any chance of saving some seed from Roys Repeater? It that a versicolor? Looks like a setosa.

That laevigata X ensata is delightful!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I have Roy's Repeater under pseudacorus (roy as in roy davidson?). I haven't cut down any bloom stalks on it yet.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Roy's Repeater is a hybrid from Roy Davidson, with the pollen parent thought to be versicolor Between The Lines. Roy's Repeater is a sibling to Roy's Lines. Classified as Species X.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Love Shikizaki (laevigata) x Kachou (ensata), you can definitely see the ensata in it. Does it have a name?

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

If Roys repeater is a versicolor X psuedacorus then my Kerminsina X psuedo could be similar but darker reddish-violet...I'm looking forward to seeing that cross. Guess I'll have to wait another year. I expect it is sterile so don't be surprised Kathy if no seeds develop.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Are you reading my thoughts, Todd??

South Hamilton, MA

Sometimes seeds will develop, but not germinate. In some cases I hope so since people are trying to find beardless crosses that are not invasive.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

It will be at least another month before my JI bloom. I'm still waiting on Sibs! First typhifolia and hookeri should be open by next week.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Oh Todd. DG must be torture for you. Prolly better when you didn't know just how late your season is. (Ignorance is surely bliss!) (I have trouble with the southern US schedule.)

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

You've got to look on the bright side, those that have late bloomers get to enjoy (and add to their want lists) while they are waiting for theirs to bloom. Personally, I think we are all nuts considering what we go through only to have pounding rain or hail on the very day they are open and beautiful. I sometimes take pictures while holding my umbrella and have to use the flash. Crazy, I know!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

We're sposta get more thunderstorms tonite so I took pics.
Latest JIs. Purple ensata.
