Lovely Tazzy. Great picture taking, too.

Didn't you just move and plant those a couple of years ago?

I love them all, but I now need to get Fancy Dress. I bet that's a Keppel?

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

yes we moved
all this planting is on trailer lot two year clumps most died first year .
SOB !
But i was blessed this year with bloom, few wrong names but 90% are all same as tag.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Well, they are lovely. Of course we all know Tazzy knows how to grow great irises.

Tazzy, you have some great looking iris........

Los Alamos, NM(Zone 5a)

Each one is more beautiful than the one before. I am especially fond of This and That, All A Buzz, and American Patriot and the pretty blue one behind it.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

patjar
the blue one behind is Sprouting Horn

funny it is named that because it has no horns ? (who'd a guessed )

Los Alamos, NM(Zone 5a)

Well, appropriate name or not it is lovely.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

thanks ^_^

Tazzy I love your Fancy Dress.........when my sprouting horn blooms, it has a bud just to the side of the bloom which looks like it is sprouting from the opened bloom.....I guess that's where it gets the name

Here's my prettiest open one today...Barbara My Love

Tazzy, They are absolutely beautiful. I haven't had good luck with iris. I bought some from a plant sale a couple of years ago with blooms on them, planted them and they haven't bloomed since. I bought two from Lowe's and decided to go to my favorite website (DG) to get some advice. I am getting a late start on gardening this year and have much work to do, but sure hope to have blooms on these, but don't expect them to look like yours. One is Luxor Gold bearded iris and the other is white bearded iris. Didn't see any purple ones.
I am going to enjoy this thread. Hope to get online more often.

Beautiful Iris' Tazzy. Is it ok if I post a few of my first time bloomers on your thread? This is my first year to have any iris' and am falling in love with them.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Congratulations Tazzy! Our show is coming up in about 3 weeks. Last year was the first time I had attended a show and with the freak weather I didn't have any iris. So many beautiful iris; I don't think I would make a good judge. I hope I will have some blooms this year for the show, but if not, I will enjoy what others do have.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)
