Hi,
Will the broadleaf weed killers that are usually applied to lawn kill bamboo if they are carried over to the bamboo location by run off caused by rain?
thanks,

Lawn weed killer and bamboo
I wouldn't apply or allow the weed and feed type fertilizers near my bamboo.
But since bamboo is in the same family as grass, wouldn't it leave the bamboo alone along with the grass? Definitely better to be safe than sorry though!
The weed and feed type fertilizers are coming from my neighbors yard. I did not think about the runoff direction when I planted the bamboo. The bamboo is not in the path of the runoff but when we get the heavy rains like 2" or 4" a day downpours like today the water tends to flow all the way to where the bamboo clump is located.
I was hoping along the lines of what ecrane3 mentioned.
Good luck!
I suspect it'll probably be OK...some of the weed killer will stay on your neighbor's property, and what's left will be diluted by the torrential downpour of rain, then combine that with the fact that bamboo is in the same family as grass and maybe not going to be damaged by it anyway, and I doubt if you'll have trouble.
