I have a total of 42 lilies on my list so I'm trying to resist going to the check-out page.
What have you or are you buying this year?
If you are like me pirl, you'll fill up a shopping cart, add, remove, then close the page, then go back to it, and eventually you'll be weak and enter your info and click the "submit" button and then all the rest is history!
I've done just that with about ten orders so far, Steve. We'll see what happens by 9:30.
OOO So I am not the only one? :*)
Since they require a form and my printer isn't cooperating I didn't/couldn't go further. If I get the printer working I'll order them. I can always call them tomorrow.
No intercessor, you're not! I go through this every year and validate/justify and then back out and almost always eventually do the deed, just like pirl. I am only up to 6 or 7 spring orders though (not just lilies LOL). I bet we all have lots of company - look at some of the orders above in this thread!
I thought I ordered too many from Dutch Gardens, back in December, but these are different lilies so that makes it appealing and hard to resist.
well good to see other love lillies LOL. not as many as the rest of you but have guite a number of them.Does anyone have info on scaleing? I want to try to propagate some of the ones I do have.
Hi Art, welcome to DG and the Lily forum! We'll look forward to seeing more of you and your lilies here.
Here is some info about scaling to get you going http://lilies.org/propagation.html

I have been eyeballing Geisha Girl for awhile now...may have to give in. I'm relieved and smug to see lists as long as or longer than mine:lol: I have a couple of "I told you so's" to dish out=)
I got my co-op order from The Lily Garden and they are some really nice looking bulbs. I picked up 3 of Silk Road and the largest one is the size of a small lime. Some from the other bulb co-op I purchased from (not here at DG) already have some small sprouts popping out...I'll have to pot those up this weekend.
Thanks for all the great (if evil) links:LOL:
There was a coop from the Lily Garden? Da'oh!
intercessor, you took the words right out of my mouth!!
At the Yahoo group...that was a new one. I was surprised and it took me about 2 min to whip through the list of choices and post my order:lol: One of the only co-op lists that I just left alone once I posted it:) I was able to get some of the ones that I had been wanting for several years (drooling over the catalog for the past 3 years!). I'm really hoping that it becomes a regular co-op offering there.
How was the selection and prices? What Yahoo group was that in?

This is what I purchased and the prices per bulb:
Ariadne $3.60
Bali Hai $2.60
Coral Butterflies $2.60
Eurydice $3.00
Red Velvet $3.00
Silk Road $4.60
Tiger Babies $2.60
Karen North $4.60
There were 28 choices all total.
A few others were:
Alchemy $4.60
Caravan $4.60
Quintessence $7.25
Wow those are very low! What is the Yahoo group called?

For those new to Dave's with that "disposable income" still wallowing around in your pockets, www.farawayflowers.vstore.ca
is an awesome source. Shipping from Maine to AK took 1/2 the time that Washington state to AK took, so don't let Maine scare you west coasters. (both orders were shipped Priority Mail). The bulbs were healthy, very clean and are growing well.
I didn't get in on the co-op because Ramona was originally shipping later than I preferred. An earlier shipping was added so I got some from her non-co-op and they are great!
Go for the great old time ones for perfume and distinction and vigor. Check out the article on www.demosnews.com . Click on the genre "home", then select "Growing Old Lilies". I buy from the source they mention, Old House Gardens, which is wonderful.
I started with 6 Stargazers last year and fell in love with them. This year, I planted 200 mixed Oriental and Asiatic. All of them are up and just waiting to bloom. The smells and sights should be spectacular.
My Orientals take a bit of time to show up but they flower right when I need them, at the tail end of summer.
The asiatics are almost ready to do their thing. I have a mixed container on the patio that is London (yellow), Endless Love (white) and Dolly Madison (pink). I had them in the fridge last summer until almost the end of June before I finally planted them. They flowered anyway, just late. This year they're huge stalks and the tops are packed with buds, plus there are plenty of seedlings growing in the container also.
I have some new ones coming soon--2 of each
