These are edible plants and trees I am trying this year or I already have. I have a medium/large sized yard in the middle of the city. I put most of these along the fence line. It was hard finding many that could take partial shade. I do have a lot of full sun too.

pecans: 100 year old and heavy producers
apricot: 4 years and nothing yet
kiwi: 2nd year and nothing yet
orange: tons of oranges, 3 years
lemon: few lemons, 2nd year
grapes: grapes on 3rd year and 1st year champanel... loves clay
loquat: so many we even stopped making jam, 10 years
turkscap: flowering and should fruit, 2 years
nasturtium: everywhere, great on salads
rosa rugosa: waiting on my first hips
passion fruit: first year and growing nice
banana: first year
jujube: tons of fruit, first year
currants: got flowers but no fruit, first year
autumn olive: first year, nothing yet
goumi: flowers but no fruit, first year
aronia: have berries, cant wait, first year
mexican plum: first year, grows in partial shade, pretty
goji: no berries but tripled in size in 4 months, eat the leaves everyday, first year
star fruit: first year, flowers no fruit
pyracantha: not poisonous as thought, tons of berries, first year
chocolate vine: insane grower in shade, flowers no fruit, first year, invasive careful
elderberry: flowers no fruit, first year
appleberry "tazmania vine": little berries, should turn pink, first year
calamondin: absolutely covered with fruit, first year.
pineapple guava: yummy flowers and fruit starting, first year
chayote "vegetable pear": growing like mad, they fruit later in year. 20 ft in 3 months.
stevia: sugar substitute, yummy, herb
magnolia vine "they all died": probably wont try again
flying dragon citrus: first year
leatherleaf mahonia: tons of berries, super bitter, first year
canaryvine: nasturtium in vine form. fast grower, first year
avocado: nothing yet, first year
seaberry/sea buckthorn: growing nice, no berries, first year
papaya: two trees flower but no fruit, second year
vegetable garden

So far I have only lost one kind of plant and that is the magnolia vine. All five of them kicked the bucket.
