Have you ever hear a childhood remembered? that's how I found David Arkenstone, he was involved in that CD..it's a compilation, but I love that song...it's great.

Randy, I didn't recognize the song, so I went and looked. I have 19 David Arkenstone CDs and 6 more with the Nature Series...no Childhood Remembered. Do you know the name of the CD? I thought I pretty much had all of his stuff!

Well that's the thing...I have to get the CD, it is only one song on the cd called "a childhood remembered" that he collaborated on..the rest is other artist...I had to know who did the song, and looked on the CD, that's how I even found out David Arkenstone. It's a narada collection

If I am able to turn on the surround sound then I put it on a blues station usually. After that my regular music which would be country and rock. Don't ask for favorites. lol. Waaaay too many!!!
I like etherial floating music that never stops...when I'm out in the garden it's like a time suspension...
I usually prefer only the birds...that is until I discovered IZ. Changed everything.
Love IZ! Hawaiian music in general..... Also love Enya, and Celtic Woman!
Childhood was definately "The Beachboys", Jan and Dean, any "Surfer type music". That's when we were in Kailua and Kaneohe Bay!!!!!
Jeanne, that is so funny! I was a surfer, but never really cared for the "surfin music"...I was motown all the way! That is, when I wasn't listening to classical or jazz. Now jb, didn't surf - was a body whomper only, but loved the surfin music. So our collection of music covers it all...very eclectic - something for all tastes. Course he was also very, VERY into classical music.
I listen to a lot of new age sounds of nature, and Enya but my favorite is Native American flute. There are several I enjoy but this one is my most listened to.

You betcha! Collect from all over the world! The pan flute, any native american, aborigine, african, maori, true tahitian...take my little tape recorder where ever we go!
Jenny - have you ever heard David Hudson's Guardians of the Reef? It is really great.
And you both will be amazed by one that I found combining flamenco guitar and didgeridoo! I love it!!

Can't seem to find them right now but I have several *tapes* of the Native American flute. Most beautiful sound in the world. For awhile we were really hung up on anything from Windham Hill. The torch songs of the forties and fifties by just about anybody always makes me chill out. Am way overbalanced with classics on the piano. Our daughter is a classical pianist and when she grew up and left home I couldn't stand not being able to listen to the piano for hours on end. Celtic Woman's Christmas music played all through the holiday. Can't wait to listen to the wonderful things all of you have listed.

Great guy, very caring and a fabulous performer too! He just did a short program at the botanical garden nearby, for their Solstice celebration.
Must check out David Hudson, the humpback music is so haunting and serene.

Shari, flamenco guitar and didgeridoo together! that sounds awesome! Give us the nameor a clue where and how to find it if you can!
Its called "Passions of Flamenco & Didjeridu", produced by Indigenous Australia. Ash Dargan of the Iarrikia tribe is the didjeridu artist, and Emilio de la Vega is the guitarist. We found the CD because the didjeridu's of Kuranda,QLD were used and we follow the happenings of there.
I too am going to research Ed WindDancer! Sounds great!

I love ALL kinds of music but when I think of music and tropical plants my thoughts go towards the ethereal. For me, it can't be heavy or in any way overwhelm the primary focus which in this case is the ambiance of the garden.
In the house it is usually a different story - or song.........
Oh- In case you are of the "wrong age" to know - NONE OF THAT IS rap. :)
LOL again. I certainly am of the wrong age but I do know it isn't rap, I just need sort of soothing, relaxed (elevator ?) music when I am floating among the plants. Nothing stimulating or I will forget (that is another age related problem) what I am supposed to be appreciating or doing out there. :-)
