More ETS. There were about 5 of them on this bush, but I couldn't get more than 2 in one pic. Darn it anyway.

HAHA. "Of all the leaves in all the gardens… YOU had to be on mine!"

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Great Shots everyone.
Jmorth - glad to see those NEAsters again this year!!!
I'm having a hard time getting any doubles this year, but here's my first this year.

I believe this is a clouded sulphur with maybe a fiery skipper.
Notice the skippers wings were really deformed.

pford, The asters are just now starting to gear up...so far it has primarily drawn Painted Ladies, Cabbage Whites, Skippers, and occasional Monarch and Buckeye. Painted Lady has dominated number-wise. Some giant self-seeded sunflowers elsewhere in the garden have thus far been the biggest Monarch draw.

Buckeye and Painted Lady in a low-growing mint I use as a groundcover. This mint pulls in multi-banded wasps, black and white wasps, all kinds of bees, and some butterflies.

Here's a group of Sulphurs having a meeting - - -Oh, I guess actually they're getting a nice drink where some water was on the ground -it's been really dry here, so they flock to any bit of water that wets the soil!

(Please ignore the unmowed grass! LOL!)

If I thought I would get to see that many sulphurs in one spot; I wouldn't mow ever!!

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Since I started growing Cassia Alata, I have too many sulphurs to count around here! They multiply like crazy on it and are just everywhere! The un-mown lawn is just a byproduct of watching the butterflies! :-)
