HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! Moby

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

It's a top o' the line 1960 Desoto Adventurer. It has A/C ~ with the oddest blower thingies on top of the passenger side dash.

Wish I'd taken a pic but I found one on the 'net without the A/C vents. Push-button gear shift. No 'park' just 'neutral' and the parking brake. That's going to take a little getting used to.

I'm sure it's a pretty weird gift in most people's eyes but I love, love, love old cars!

Moby, you little gear head!! Nice car! It impressed Mr. Ticker. You got one of those 'Whoaaaaa, nice car!" from him. You gonna cruise down't I-80 to CR in that baby? Please? :)
Congratulations, you best be keeping Mr. Moby!

Totally awesome Moby. What bliss. Guess you have a laaaarge garage in your new house, to go with the laaaarge garden.

Look forward to riding with you ..... one day if I ever drive to the west coast again.

Oh yeah, free rides for everybody! :)

Mr. Ticker might be interested in knowing the engine is a 383 cu.in., 2 barrel carb.

Whoa Moby, you best be careful with that monster. Mr. Nebraska State Highway Patrolman might be interested in that too!! I know the Mr. Iowa State Highway Patrolman would be. They would be very admiring as they gave you a ticket... LOL

LOVE the fins--what a machine! Remeber when every brand of car looked different? Remember when every year the cars would change style? On the late 1950s Ed Sullivan Show, a covered auto would be revealed one corner at a time each week. Kind of like a peek show. It was hard to imagine what the whole car would look like....

And the Cadilacs had HUGE fins! Almost deadly in their height & thin style.
