Does Anyone Grow

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I would like to have a Microsorum steerei oil fern. Does anyone grow this?

Gosh, this plant must be gaining popularity. I just saw them at Merrifield Gardens in Northern Virginia last week for the first time. I thought they were the most unique and unusual plants that I've seen in a long time. I think a 4 inch pot was being sold for $14.99 but the word "fern" steered me away from them. Good luck. I certainly hope you can find one.

Oh, I forgot, someone told me that cowboyflowerman on Ebay has them in his store.

If Jodie (cowboyflowerman) has them, they should be nice, big, healthy plants. I've bought all my adiantums from when except one, and I've had really good luck with him and my plants. He's one of my favorite sellers. His website is called Secret Garden Rare Plants, out of Florida.

Sorry...

I haven't found any for sale that are in America. I will keep looking until I find one. It looks like it may take a while.

makshi...

I did a bit of research for you (rather be doing that than the paperwork on my desk)...

I put Microsorum steerei in a search engine, and I found this site among others... this goes directly to the source page for that plant. Maybe you can contact that nursery.

Good luck, and never give up!

Thanks Karen I will try that.

I would also highly recommend Cowboyflowerman. I've gotten nothing but super healthy, big, robust plants from him. He's the greatest!

Don't give up, email cowboyflowerman. I'll bet you'll end up with one.

I was just browsing around on Gardino's website and ran across it if you don't have luck elsewhere
