White Flower Photos, post one here

(GayLynn) Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Great idea MerryMary (love that name) was thinking the same thing the other day as I am partial to pinks, purples and yellow flowers and would love some new ideas.

Ocoee (W. Orlando), FL(Zone 9b)

I'm a pink-a-holic, so would love to see other people's pink plants and combos. I've ordered so many only to find out that they're really "peach" instead. I'd trust the DG-ers comments much more!
:)

Hi bonitin :-) So many white beauties you have! I love the white Astrantia and the water lily is gorgeous!

Pennefeather - beautiful - all of them :-) The coneflowers are really neat looking - don't think I've ever seen white ones before. They're really pretty :-)

Here is my White David Phlox. I posted this picture on another thread. It is reblooming today and just as beautiful the second time around.

Oh wow it seems to have an aura around it :o))
Very pretty, love the combination with the rudbeckias or is it echinaceas? Can never tell the difference.

Louisville, KY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Zest,

Three little sprigs of this David Phlox were given to me by a neighbor last Fall, and I did not expect it to do much the first year. But it has really taken off big time, and the second flush of blooms has been just as full as the first. I am going to divide it and move some to my front yard for next year. It is very disease resistant and I have seen no mildew on it so far. The yellow one is Rudbeckia Indian Summer. I love Indian Summer too and have them in 5 of my gardens this year. I will send you a Dmail and post a picture of my front yard with the Indian Summer, as they probably would not want me to post it on this thread.

Happy Gardening in Denmark! I am a fairly new member and have not heard from anyone from Denmark so you made my day. I will have an MRI tomorrow to determine if I will need to have knee surgery ,so I am going through a lot right now. My right knee locked on me a week ago during exercise. The knee is better now but the dr still wants me to go ahead with the MRI.

Betty - that Phlox is breathtakingly beautiful! And I love the combination with the Rudbeckia and Cone Flower ;-) Very pretty!

Thanks Rannveig,

I am certainly going to divide it this Fall. Wish I could send some to you!!!!

zest,

I just read your reply again. The yellow is Rudbeckia and the one on the right is Echinacea Purple Coneflowers. Thanks again for the nice comments.

Hi Betty
Wow the phlox grew a lot. Well done :o))
Indian Summer is very pretty, love bright yellows.

I´ve heard of another active member from Denmark, but have never seen him around (apparently he is mostly in the Bromeliads forum I think) I´m more amazed with Rannveig, have not seen any other Icelender in DG.
Happy gardening to you as well :o))
And I do hope a knee surgery will not be necessary. Please et us know what the MRI shows.

Thanks Monica for the nice reply. I am meeting so many nice people on DG. I will let you know what the MRI results are. I should know by Friday.

Thanks again,

Beautiful phlox, Betty!

Oh, I love that cosmos too Zest! Not only the beautiful flower but also the finely cut foliage that makes such a nice setting for it.

They're flowering!! Yay! Beautiful Cosmos Monica - that Pied Piper is pretty special - never seen that one before :-)

Horsens, Denmark

Thanks ;o)))
Well, my heart did jump a bit when I saw it, had never seen it either.
It was expensive as well (for me) but had to have it.

HI Monica,

I too love your Cosmos. They are so graceful--blowing in the wind. I have had them in the past but did not plant any this year.
