was it just the leaf or did it have a node on it? Nubby place?

Cut it by the node

I would think that would work, I sometimes have trouble rooting some philos, however it is usually during the winter. Keep it warm to improve rooting. Good Luck.

If it had a bit of stem with a node, it should grow some roots! Keep us posted!

Are these hard to root. I have two and they are getting so tall, I would like to get another one started.

I just cut the top off and stuck in water I did get roots than I gave it away in a trade
The big plant is doing fine and a new leaf is starting to grow
There may be some one out there who know more than me But this worked for me
