Arrow leaf? Arrow plant? Arrow something?

Hulbert, OK(Zone 7a)

My apologies, I have a plant and cannot remember
it's name. Arrow something?

Please help if you can.

Many thanks.

You know I have 3-4 of these arrow plants and love them love them....they are very easy to care for and grow like crazy.

I just knew someone could help me. You all are the best!

Mine looks exactly like the first one pictured. May
I inquire as to whether the photo is correct for the
cultivar? Mine doesn't seem like something one would
call neon, but does look just like the first one.

Now then, on to my most important question. The more
I water these things, the better they grow. In fact, when I
water them, I flood the heck out of them and then drain
them, and they love it.

I bought them at a yard sale for a quarter. They were living
in terra cotta with clay soil in the hot summer sun outdoors.
How they ever made it, I'll never know.

So I'm wondering. Can I plunk the pots right into the pond
the way I do my Canna? The plant is still in the pot, of course,
but with the bottom of the pot in the pond, yes or no?

Many thanks for your replies. I sure appreciate them.

They will grow in water or soil......I don't really know about putting a pot in the pond??? I do know friends who keep buckets of water outside rooting syngonium all the time.....it roots easily.....
I bet that I have asked more questions than you and I have been gardening all my 65 years of life (LOL)
Here is some in two pots sitting in the breakfast room (look at the two different kinds of cultivars of the same plant)

PS...I love to keep things rooting in jars all over my house....I will take a pic for you....i think it looks pretty in the house just rooting away....

Take some pieces of your syngonium for fun and "make more" of them....I planted up everything yesterday that had been rooting in water in the kitchen.....here is a picture of what I put in water today....on the front is double impatiens and Firespike (the winds hurt them, so I cut them off) and on the back are many cuttings of cane begonias that I have....it is so much fun and so easy to root in water (not everything can be rooted in water, but any soft cutting can)
Happy gardening

Glad you mentioned that. The plants were originally little things,
and to be honest with you, the outside looks like a jungle but I
am terrible about forgetting indoor plants. But this one does well
and in fact has offshoots that look like I could just snip them and
plant them as well.

I don't think I've ever had such an easy to grow houseplant other
than Sansevieria and Mother of Thousands.

Love it!

Yep Wuvie, The Syngonium or Arrowhead Vine grows like a weed! I have different ones in containers and some of the solid green that is in the ground and grows up the side of our screen enclosure! I am constantly pulling it off the screen during the summer! I have it growing in water too, so I'm sure you could plunk your pots right into the pond like you do your canna's! I bet they will love it!

Here's a pic of some of the Solid Green Arrowhead growing up the side of my screen room:

Wow. This is good news. One website said to keep it dry and
then another called it an invasive aquatic.

I think I'll repot them tomorrow and divvy them up.
