I actually have a couple of other clumps that have formed themselves in the back flower beds. I'll try to get some pictures of those.

Here is a white one I have NOID...it has a very pale blue cast when it is first opening...

Figured out my Red one is Red Zinger....I have new ones in a bed that just started blooming and my older "clump" is blooming too...so I compared, and that is the name of my favorite red I have had now for several years...lol Good to know...I have it in several beds now...here is a picture of them today...

Here is a clump of some old heritage Iris....

This actually shows the clump better, but I wanted you to see the flower close up as well in the previous picture...the white one I post above is also in the back of this clump....

One more of the Historics I have...a very pretty blue and purple combo....

Janet - It looks like it might be time to divide that clump of antique ladies. She probably will bloom better next year if you do. Keep three fans and share the rest!

That one with the white in the background? Doss? That one really got large this year, I was really surprised! You are right, it does need to be divided. I also have Wyoming Canna in there that need to come out...lol

That's the one. You can keep more than three fans if you want to. :-)

Here's Fiery Temper

Oh, I have often admired Fiery Temper in catalogs. Your clump of them is even better than the catalog pictures.

That's why I love photos of clumps. That's the way they really look in the garden.

I hope you get some blooms Wanda! (we had a crazy 5 days freeze in January that killed a lot of plants and trees but did not affect my iris)

The plants you sent me are all growing big and green! No blooms this season, but I wasn't expecting any their first year!

Wanda - I know that you said that you put in three rhizomes of each cultivar in a group after dividing. How far apart do you put the rhizomes?

One more and I quit for awhile. Gracchus, an historic (Ware--1884) looks a lot like Gypsy Queen. It just started--more to come.

I agree Janet S. That yellow one with purple falls is very impressive. It's the yellow edged ruffles that do it, at least for me.

That one is Decadence. Aptly named, isn't it?
